Very Good Printer at a Very Reasonable Price

Can't say much bad about this printer. My 15YO laser quit printing color and I had a big print job so I went to Best Buy. Really wanted another laser but they had very limited stock "because covid". Picked this ink jet out of what they had in stock. It is a nice printer. Easy to set up, easy to use, printing pretty quickly, scan/copy/fax work very easily, two-sided scan/copy/print is great, connects to network via cable or wifi. Much nicer than my last printer, can get rid of my old flatbed scanner. Only thing it doesn't do is photo-realistic printing, like printing family photos for framing - it prints photos, but not as well as a laser. Other than that, this should serve my needs for the next ten years. Another fine HP product (just wish it was a laser).

      Hi, Cheryl.

I’m sorry to hear that your printer has not performed like it should. Your review is short, but your frustration is clear – and understandable – so I’ll offer some resources and information I hope will help.

First, I recommend you visit a page on our support site that has diagnostic tools for various problems, including setup, cartridge and connectivity issues. There you’ll also find a general-purpose tool called the HP Print and Scan Doctor. If you use Windows, the tool will help identify and guide you through solutions to a wide range of common printing and scanning issues. Visit that page here:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/topic/diagnostics

If any problem persists, I recommend that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can guide you through the proper troubleshooting. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:

      - Model number
      - Serial number
      - Your location
      - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)

I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies, so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link: support.hp.com/us-en/checkwarranty

I loved this printer! After almost 4 years the cartridge carrier decided to get stuck! So I was able to get another one very similar! I like how paper never gets stuck inside the machine! No paper jams! So I can print out many pages without worry! Such a plus! Easy to use . I would recommend this model!

Nice printer with a too short life

My OfficeJet Pro 9015e does everything I want and does it conveniently. It took a little while to adjust to doing many things, like scanning from my mobile devices. Now I prefer scanning and such from them. Of course, it prints just fine from my Ubuntu Linux desktop. The downside: My printer just bit the dust a little short of two years. At the time I bought it, HP+ with warranty extension was not offered. So, consider it a disposable printer.

The setup was difficult- it had something wrong with the sensor for the print head. It took a lot of trouble shooting to finally blow it out with compressed air. It prints quickly and beautifully. Haven’t yet tried scanning photos, but based on quality printing, anticipate it will do that very well.

    Didn't Change My Mind

As a small business class all-in-one the HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e didn't change my mind that one should consider laser before inkjet. Don't get me wrong, for photo grade color printouts inkjet is superior but generally overkill for most businesses. The 9105e represents a top-tier all-in-one from HP within their inkjet line and functions reasonably well. It quickly connected to my WiFi network and I was up and running in minutes on both my MacOS and Windows 10 based machines. It prints and scans wirelessly without a hitch. I didn't try the fax function because that is simply something I don't ever need to do. This model does come with HP+. What is HP+ you ask? Well, simply put, it is a 2-year extended warranty and 6 months of ink. HP provides 700 pages a month of free ink for the first six months of ownership and then will gladly you charge you for the continued subscription. I suppose if you are doing that volume of printing then maybe that is worthwhile, but I am still in the camp that color laser is the better option for reliability and volume. I haven't had this printer long enough to evaluate the overall reliability of the printer, but in the past inkjet printers have been a thorn in my side. Clogged nozzles and dried out cartridges were the bane of my existence and why I ultimately made the switch. Overall, the 9015e does the job and for the list price comes with 6 months of free ink and an extended warranty which isn't a bad deal. If you need to print photos then it is a no-brainer, but for standard office fare I would look at all options.

Everything works, but setup was long & complex, & failed at several points & had to be restarted. Quite noisy. There's only a single paper tray, unlike my old HP PhotoSmart d7260 which had both letter & photo trays.
