Faulty product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Looks flashy. Took out of the box and plugged in. Instantly, the printer informed me it had a paper jam. Interesting since it had never had paper in it before. There was no paper jam. Called HP customer support. I was sent to 3 different departments before someone could help me. Essentially, the customer support person told me to unplug the printer and plug it back in. When that didn't fix the issue, they offered to send me a refurbished printer. After reading other customer reviews on Amazon, I will be returning this piece of garbage to Best Buy and going with a different brand.

trash
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It worked really well for about 4 years. Now it can't connect to the Internet, so it refuses to allow the Instant Ink cartridges to be used, but it insists on aligning the print heads, which uses ink, so it hangs on "aligning print heads." After a few hours, HP tech support told me I need a new printer. What if somebody accidentally just turned off the Wi-Fi? There's no way to turn it back on.

Junk
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This printer is o k, but h p is junk. I didn't even get thirty pages and have had to reorder ink. I cannot print from my phone I cannot get help from h p. I get a continued message saying that my account is expiring. And I'll no longer being able to print. I've had it less than 6 months. How to use 2 different sets of ink? I am going to throw it in the trash and buy something else

Great for Single Device on Same Network Segment
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cannot understand all the positive reviews on this printer. It does print nice when it works. And the ink doesn't dry up on you so quickly like other printers would consistently. If you have only one computer on the same network segment as the printer and want the recurring subscription costs then this might be the right product for you. I've spent more time trying to troubleshoot connection, driver, configuration issues than I have using the printer. Probably best to stay away from "e" series printers, as this one absolutely requires an Internet connection to set up and operate. If you try to install the "offline" drivers you'll need an Internet connection. You'll repeat the entire setup process with each computer you try to configure, providing your HP account credentials and device credentials (at least twice) each time. Check the printer's settings after the last installation (every time) as the setup installer changes them to HP's preference (Data Collection Settings). Installing on multiple devices on different network segments is not fun, but will place plenty of nonessential applications on each computer you choose

Very Disappointed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The printer is a challenge to connect to my PC and is inconsistent in its delivery. My ancient HP Envy 110 was better. All this new technology and "improvements" - HP have gone backwards! While it prints relatively quickly, it seems to take ages to download the printing files and seems to hang and then suddenly come to life - that is if it does that.

Posted .Hi there.
I’m sorry that your printer has performed so unreliably for you. It’s no surprise that you’re disappointed, considering the device has given you many unexplained delays, and you got better performance from your previous HP printer. I want to help you remedy this situation, so I’ll direct you to some resources I hope will meet that goal.
First, I recommend you visit a page on our support site that has diagnostic tools for various issues, including wireless connectivity, which might play a part in the issue you describe. On the same page you’ll find a general-purpose tool called the HP Print and Scan Doctor. If you use Windows, the tool will help identify and guide you through solutions to a wide range of common printing and scanning difficulties. You can find that page here:
- support.hp.com/us-en/topic/diagnostics
If the problem persists, I suggest that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and determine the best course of action. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:
- Model number
- Serial number
- Your location
- Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)

Don't buy HP
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.HP 9000 series printers require wireless connections because HP harvests your data and sells it. If you try to use a USB cable, it will refuse to complete the installation unless you also install it via wifi. I have about 20 years in IT. I've installed thousands of printers. I also used to work at HP. The main lesson I took from that job was "Don't buy HP."

Posted .Hi, Raquel.
I’m sorry to learn that your printer has been so difficult to use. I can certainly understand why repeatedly seeing a paper jam error message but finding no real paper jams would quickly become exasperating. I want to help you remedy the problem, so I’ll guide you to some resources I hope will make that happen.
Regarding paper jam messages, as you’ve unfortunately discovered, sometimes these can be real or false, meaning the printer might report an error when there is no jammed paper. I recommend referencing the steps in this document to troubleshoot real as well as false paper jams:

I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies, so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link:

Piece of Junk - Look Elsewhere
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very first time I changed the ink cartridges, the magenta cartridge won't install. Keep getting a perpetual "Supply System Problem" error, which shows the magenta cartridge not working. It's a new, official cartridge from HP's ink replacement program. Can't print at all, even in black and white, so long as the magenta cartridge isn't registering. The HP Smart app helpfully tells me both that I have official HP cartridges installed and that the magenta cartridge is not installed - but it is. Tried all the suggestions in the HP support site. Called HP - no help. I basically have a $250 door stop. Horrible product.

HP printer cartridges only
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As good as printer as any other brand, but need to use app to operate it and it requires HP only ink, which is much more costly than third party ink cartridges.
