This is one awesome machine. I love HP Omen!! Ryzen 7, top of the line graphics, and awesome style. This beast will be supporting my power computing for some time,
Its sleek, and it performs like the super fast laptop that it is. Ive had no touble with it. My first one was stolen earlier this year and I couldnt think of another that I wanted.

The trackpad had some issues but I got it on sale so I can't complain. It's a pretty good laptop I would recommend if it's on sale, otherwise it's an okay laptop for the price.

This is a nice laptop on the whole and, if you catch it on sale, a very good value. The Ryzen 7 performs well and consumes less energy (and produces less heat) than comparable Intel chips. The 3050ti is very good for 1080p gaming. Since I have a 5120x1440 monitor, I really wish I had gone for more video card. But that was mu choice, not a short-coming of the machine. The two small complaints I have are this:
1) There is no number pad. There really should be on a 16.1" laptop, and
2) There is no external power button. I plan to use this laptop mostly as a desktop replacement and don't want to have to open it every time I want to wake the laptop from sleep or power it on. I will resolve this issue with a $260 HP dock with a power button, but if the laptop had an external power switch, I wouldn't need to do that.
So for the price I paid, it is a very good performer and good-looking package, but I wish I didn't have those two issues mentioned above.

Overall this is a good laptop, I use this for grad school and mainly use it for schoolwork.
The only issue I have is that the track pad frequently gets stuck down and you have to wait a couple minutes for it to fix itself. If you have a mouse you can avoid this problem.
I also know that this issue isn't just a problem for my laptop as me and my twin both bought this laptop at the same time and both laptops do this. So just be warned about that.
The battery life is very short in comparison to my old HP Envy. I get that this has a lot more going on than my envy did and since it is my first gaming laptop, I can't really compare the battery life to another gaming laptop. You can four hours worth of work done before you need to charge it.

Runs photoshop and other heavy-ish creative apps well. Trackpad has had some hiccups, but I prefer to use a mouse. Had a couple of random windows glitches that kind of freaked me out, but I was always able to get it back to normal.

This has been my daily driver since I got it. My only complaint would be the power supply is not big enough. Which causes some over heating. Beyond that, it's a good laptop. I have worked IT since 1996.

It runs fast and smoothly when playing games or just everyday use. My only two issues are that the mousepad already seems to be sinking in on the left side (not an issue for me since I was planning to buy an actual mouse). Also the battery life seems to run out faster when gaming vs. normal use but it isn't that bad.

Absolutely love this laptop. Best keyboard on a laptop I have ever owned. I will never buy another one with cramped arrow keys. The device is comfortably able to handle games. I would also buy this for a home/work based laptop too. It's design is comfortable, easy to carry. I like this better than the HP Spectre I bought 4 years ago. (Which was the previous nicest laptop I have owned. And I have owned a Dell XPS 15 before.) HP Has come a long way.

I’m not the traditional gamer so this might not be relevant for someone who games. However, I am a graduate student and within my current studies I need a computer that would multitask like none other. This one accomplishes the task with ease. I was looking at computers with high level processors and ample RAM to run some of the programs needed for my studies and a lot of them were out of my price range. This one happened to be on sale and I am forever grateful. Being able to run complex algorithms while simultaneously running multiple office products is a breeze on this computer and I’m able to accomplish my homework and studies a lot faster. It’s more than I need right now, but for me and what I do that means it will last longer than just a ‘student’ laptop.

The Computer operates as advertised, Ryzen processing speed, multi-tasking, screen refresh, data transfers are excellent. HP Display was better than expected. Software upgrade (MS Office) was seamless with zero difficulty.
Thoroughly impressed with the technical knowledge of the salesperson. He was able to address my technical questions with confidence and in alignment with my limited but learned experience. He showed an ability to explain items at a level we could understand and showed familiarity with all the computer models we showed interest. Professional, self-assured and knowledgeable. Thank You for the support.
Computer arrival was as projected (a bit earlier - good thing) and delivery to store and to us was without any delays or issues.

Within a few days of using the laptop I encountered a track pad issue, the software was very buggy with the issue of half or none of the track pad being responsive to touch/click. Tried HP support but after BIOS and windows update the problem only accelerated. I suspect the windows 11 installation was toying with it.
Please note that other users have also experienced this occurrence with this series of OMEN laptops.
Currently waiting a replacement.

I've owned this laptop for about a month, everything works great, it honestly has good cooling for however it performs, I would really recommend having a desktop cooling pad as that will make it run quieter, The GPU excels for games such as Warzone, Battlefield 2042, and other FPS games, for certain games such as roblox you can disable the GPU and have most games run perfectly with integrated graphics. The main problem I find with the laptop is the trackpad, oh my there's many problems with it, it will consistently lag while in use, sometimes the trackpad may even glitch out and completely stop working, (happened to me three times so far), but otherwise it's a great product other than the trackpad, that's really the only problem. Make sure to join OMEN's discord server for support and help, as they are very helpful there.
