I had an HP OMEN from 2016 that I used heavily while being in the military, deployed 2 times, and gamed hard on it for almost 10 years. It was great for what I needed. It finally started to show its age and I decided to buy another OMEN. Thankfully, HP came out with this new OMEN that's far beyond what I had, and it's fantastic. For the price, I feel that it beats other laptops in the mid-tier space. I've always wanted more than low-tier but could never afford top-tier stuff, so if you want something that works well for basically any game, streaming, social media, school work, and all-around machine that can do it all, this is it. You can put another NVMe SSD for more storage, and RAM is upgradable but 32 GB is enough. And connecting to an external monitor is super easy if you go that route. All in all, its a great Laptop that should last close to 10 yrs or more.

Solid all-around performance: With its Ryzen 9 + RTX 5060 + 32 GB RAM + 1 TB SSD, Omen 16 is very capable for compile-heavy development, ML experiments (small models), multitasking, and resource-heavy workloads.

I’ve had the laptop for a couple weeks and honestly it blew my mind! As an engineer student this is a good laptop. The fan can get a lil loud but honestly it’s way better than any other!

Its good, a exceptional laptop and capable of almost everything, the only mid point is the battery life

This laptop is hyped up for its “amazing fan” that is has to keep your laptop cool at all times … this laptop gets so hot It couldve burnt a hole through my desk. Another thing is the battery life is so short you go from 100% to 20% within minutes. My account seems to get logged out so I have to constantly resign in to enter my pin to get into my laptop. All of this happens even when you have absoluetly no games downloaded yet. Not sure why not a single authetic review video was made.

Works perfect for gaming and streaming. Multiple windows open at once and it still handles it. Battery life is a little low but for the specifications it’s to be expected

Picked this thing up for on sale for $1300 and some change! So far it has been nothing short of amazing! I had an omen back in 2000 had at 10th gen intel with a rtx 2060 300hz screen that was also amazing! Its nice to have a nice computer with nice specs at a decent price. Runs everything flawless got rid of my onexplayer f1 pro. Loved the handheld aspect but performance was lacking. Had to have a good experience on Doom: The Dark Ages its perfect. Didnt feel like building another computer but i def trust hp and the omen line up! Glad i didnt jump for the transcend model underpowered gpu in exchange for slim and oled not worth it! Port selection could be better but for the price no complaints. Dont give a crap about battery life play plugged in or dont play at all its a gaming laptop

Powerful as a pc and portable, use a monitor and keyboard with it

Love this so far. Have ran it a lot to see how the heat is and I can say it’s hardly hot at all. Runs about 2 hours on a high demanding graphics game and still working on how long the battery runs without gaming but even two hours isn’t bad. Setup was easy and maybe an hour total including installing games

I mainly use this laptop for gaming and let me tell you its performs really well. I can play any game at max settings. The laptop gets a little warn but nothing crazy. The only bad thing i can say about the laptop is the battery is not the best and the highest resolution on this screen is 1200p, but over all amazing laptop.

I originally bought this laptop to just play MMOs at friends house so I wouldn’t have to lug around my heavy tower but it’s been more useful then that. I use it in my living room to play my controller supported games as well so I don’t have to be so close my monitor all the time!

Have no problem running high demand graphic games on high settings. Most games run max and has decent heat management.

I recently picked up the HP OMEN 16 and it’s honestly been a huge upgrade for me. The performance is crazy smooth games run fast with no lag, and multitasking feels effortless. Whether I’m gaming, doing schoolwork, or just browsing, everything loads quickly and runs clean.

Love this gaming laptop, it is everything I wanted and makes gaming fun, fast, and powerful. The only thing is my laptop has been crashing and I've only had it a couple months, so I will be getting that looked at by Geek Squad since I'm not sure if it because it is overheating or what the heck is going on. Hope I can get this crap figured out so it can stop interrupting my schooling and gaming! Also, I have to keep it plugged in when gaming since I game for hours and the battery on this thing doesn't last all that long.

Havent had any issues.. it purrs like a kitten..no heating issues running some high graphic games...very solid. I'd recommend saving up for it, vs. Buying a lesser costing laptop. The quality shows and its worth every penny!
