I have been using the HP OMEN 16L Gaming Desktop for just over one week, and it has significantly exceeded my expectations. With exceptionally rapid load times and remarkably smooth frame rates in the game titles, this computer proficiently manages all tasks I throw at it, whether engaged in an intense racing game or drawing graphics for work. It is undoubtedly a powerful machine.
Blazing Performance
Right out of the box, Windows 11 Home boots up in minutes with relevant updates, letting me dive straight into gaming or content creation without delay. The Intel Core Ultra 7 265F processor delivers rock-solid performance for both high-end gaming and CPU-intensive tasks, multitasking between multiple browser tabs, editing software, and games never causes a hitch. And with AI-enhanced graphics powered by the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti (built on the cutting-edge Blackwell architecture), I have witnessed game-changing framerate boosts and real-time ray tracing that brings every scene to life.
Future-Ready Memory & Storage
Thanks to 16 GB of XPG LANCER DDR5-5600 MT/s RAM, I can keep a dozen applications open simultaneously without ever feeling the slightest slowdown. Large textures, high-res video files, and demanding applications load and switch instantly. The included 1 TB SSD provides lightning-quick read/write speeds, so large installs and asset libraries are accessible in the blink of an eye, no more staring at loading screens.
Stylish Extras
The included HP USB white wired keyboard and mouse are not just an afterthought; they look great on my desk and feel solid under rapid keystrokes and clicks. Plus, OMEN Light Studio lets me synchronize RGB lighting effects across all supported devices, so my whole setup can pulse and wave in time with the action on screen.
After a comprehensive week of rigorous utilization, which included gaming, graphic design tasks, and general productivity activities, the HP OMEN 16L has demonstrated its capability as a versatile and future-ready desktop computer. It effectively meets the demands of high-performance gaming as well as intricate content creation workflows. For those seeking a ready-to-use gaming system that combines substantial power with a polished design, this model is the preeminent choice in its category.

Everything you need to get to playing

The HP Omen 16L packs in everything you need to start gaming immediately...well maybe after set up, Windows updates, and installing your favorite games. Typical stuff if you do PC gaming.
The RTX 5060 ti has enough RAM to handle high res texture and do some AI generating if that's your thing. Paired with the Core Ultra 7 it chewed through Diablo 4 like it was nothing, but D4 is a pretty optimized game and can run fine on plenty lower speced systems. I'm kinda stuck on this game for now until I get my motion sickness back to where it used to be after playing ARPG's for over 2yrs.
16GB of RAM is the minimum but you have one slot open to pop another in if you need more memory. I've seen D4 take up 16GB itself, so I'd suggest getting another stick just in case.
What puzzles me is the PSU spec - it's only 500w. Nvidia recommends a minimum of 600w for a system running a 5060 TI. This could limit upgrade options dramatically so pay attention to your power draw if you swap components. With the small formfactor there really isn't room for too much upgrading, but if you do decide to upgrade the processor or GPU make sure you replace the PSU first. I didn't check the pins to see if they're standard as I know some MFG's will swap pins and can cause major damage to your system if you don't check.
Still, with the lack of upgrade options the 16L is a nice little powerhouse as is. It should handle most games for the next few years without any problems.

This is the first HP computer i have tried in a while now and its very good for the price but with one thing that brings it down especially in 2025. It isn't a deal brraker considering it is DDR5 but it is something I don't want to see these days for a machine that is performance focused and over $1,000. Computer also has a limited upgrade path but its fine if you know that coming into the buying this.
Specs:
Intel Core Ultra 265F
16GB DDR5 RAM at 5600 mhz 1stick
1TB SSD
Nividia 5060 Ti 16GB (VRAM)
inside the box you get a basic mouse and keyboard. Nothing special but its nice to have if you doon't have one already and need it to star using your computer right away.
The reason why I hgave this grrat computer four stars is because it only includes one stick of DDR5 Memory. it should really include 2 sticks of 8GB for dual channel. would of given it three TBH but it is high quality memory not some random green OEM stick a lot of companies will use. as far as performance goes because it's DDR5 you don't totally suffer with single channel like you would with DDR4 and older.
I do have this computer set up to my 4K TV and for older games i don't notice an issue with thee 5060 Ti but this isn't a 4K card. I do have to set the resoultuion down to 1080P if i want high frame rates in games that is more modern like Call of Duty Black Ops 6. I don't have any complaints if you know what youre getting into with this computer.
