I actually bought this computer out of desperation. My custom rig (of about 7 years) died unexpectedly while I was working from home. I did a little research and decided this Omen PC would be a decent replacement. Boy am I pleasantly surprised. Very minimal bloatware Preinsralled. Great form factor, quiet, powerful for the price. It has handled everything I could throw at it so far. It may not be the best on the market but for just over $1k (on sale) I’d say it’s reliable and performs well above expectations!

I bought this pc on Black Friday for a steal . I run AAA title games on 100+ FPS on the high settings. Very satisfied with the purchase.

When my older desktop finally gave up the ghost, I had to make a fairly quick decision. I did some quick research comparison and found this one to be up there with the specs I wanted, while being readily available. While I don’t use my computer for gaming, I do like to have a powerful machine for multi-tasking and whatnot. This one was on sale and I have been thoroughly impressed with it thus far. Yes, you can by a $300 computer these days, but you get what you pay for. Specs and hardware are top notch on this machine.

The price drop was the selling point, video card and next gen processor makes this a great system. I do graphics, not games, ZBrush, 3D Coat, IClone, all run very smooth on this system, no slowdown whatsoever... So far no cooling issues, but again, graphics and games are "different". Video card fans rarely kick in, even map sizes of 4096x4096 with multiple tiles. Renders images with HDRI and numerous textures with ease.

It can play every game i have and some games i can have it at epic settings and i just love it!

My son's 2016 Dell Inspiron 15 (i5) laptop was (unsurprisingly) not cutting it for gaming anymore. He loves Overwatch and Apex Legends, but the the experience on an older laptop was frustrating for him, even with a nice upgrade to a gaming keyboard and monitor. But that's like putting a new outfit on an old, out-of-shape body - may look fine, but the performance isn't there. This HP Omen with a newer i7 chipset really filled the bill, and within budget. And it looks great sitting next to his desk. I've seen reviews that get down to smallest detail of this HP Omens' performance, overclocking, etc.and they are generally very thorough and-done. But my son is not a hardware geek, just a a game geek. It is a double-magnitude better than what he had, so he is in heaven. Top off the line gaming machine? Of course not, but looking at the market, I would not consider this an entry-level machine, there are lots, even from HP, with a lower cost and performance. It is wonderfully fast, the graphics card more than adequate, lots of RAM, is upgradable, and doesn't cost as much a nice used car. Having the other keys components in place (RAZAR keyboard, Asus gaming monitor) ahead of time helped keep the Omen from being held back. Note that my only on thumbs-down is the bundled mouse and keyboard, which are (understandably) pieces of crap, even if they kinda look nice. Setup was super-simple, from box to gaming (Overwatch) in 40 minutes, and to ALL games (Apex Legends plus a ton of Steam games, some tiny, others huge), Office apps, additional browsers by end of the day (and we got up late....). A fast internet connection never hurts. If you or a kid are stepping up to your/their first true gaming desktop, and don't want to take out a second mortgage on your house, this more than fills the need (especially if you find it on sale). And note, in most reviews, experienced gamers also give it a thumbs up.

Easy to set up. Very powerful. Hope to have this for a few years. Because of the configuration, it should be easy to upgrade.

I bought this to do some video streaming and editing. I wanted something with a good video card to process the videos quicker, and this machine does the trick. I'm very happy with the performance. I was concerned that buying a store-bought PC, that it'd be loaded with a bunch of bloatware, but there really wasn't any. I wish I caught it on sale, but I still think it was a good buy. I also got the LG 34" wide monitor, and I like it way better than dual monitors.

Recently upgrade from an Alienware to this and I'm loving it so far. I haven't found a game yet that this machine can't handle. While it doesn't have a 20xx card, the 1660 is more than capable of handling all current gen games. I was choosing between this and another Alienware which had a better video card@ and I went with this for the better processor. My only complaint is that it went on sale the next week for $200 off which made it an even better deal. Overall I am very happy with my purchase.

This is a great entry level gaming PC. I have had no issues with the machine. The motherboard BIOS is very basic, no custom overclocking. SSD will change your life with how has bootup and applications can be. I added another HDD and use different keyboard and mouse. you may want to consider more memory and higher performing video card. You can also mount another fan or watercooling if you wish.

Works great. Lights are cool and change colors. Processor is fast, graphics are what I expected. Fans are a bit loud especially when they first kick in.

This machine definitely was a great buy. The current gen processor and video card will make it relevant for quite some time. The amount of memory is perfect and with the open slot I can easily take it up to 32 gb. My only knock is the initial c:/. The 256 m.2 drive is a little small. I had an additional 512 ssd that I easily added it in to give me additional fast storage.

This computer runs any game my son wants on high. The graphics are great and it’s esthetically pleasing.

It was his Xmas gift. Apparently it performs as promised! Something about no lagging, many smiles...
