I recently purchased the HP Spectre 2-in-1 16" 3K+ Touch-Screen Laptop with Intel Evo Platform Core i7, 16GB Memory, and 512GB SSD from Best Buy, and I have been thoroughly impressed with this machine. I needed a new laptop for work and personal use, and the Spectre has proven to be a fantastic choice. The first thing that caught my eye was the laptop's beautiful design. The Nocturne Blue color is stunning, and the build quality feels premium and durable. The 16-inch 3K+ touch-screen display is truly impressive, offering sharp, vibrant images and smooth touch functionality. Performance-wise, this laptop is a powerhouse. The Intel Evo Platform Core i7 processor, combined with 16GB of memory, allows for effortless multitasking and handles resource-intensive tasks with ease. The 512GB SSD provides ample storage space and contributes to the laptop's speedy performance. The 2-in-1 functionality has proven to be incredibly useful. Whether I'm typing up documents, watching videos, or sketching with the included pen, the versatility of the HP Spectre is a significant advantage. The laptop's hinge is sturdy, and switching between laptop and tablet modes is smooth and straightforward. Battery life on this laptop is impressive, easily lasting a full day of work with moderate use. The fast-charging capability is also a game-changer, ensuring I'm never left scrambling for a charger during an important task. I got this laptop on a Back To School sale, although I am not in school anymore. I have owned the 8th Gen (Whiskey Lake), 11th Gen (Tiger Lake) and now the 12th Gen (Alder Lake) Spectre x360 models. I am running openSUSE Tumbleweed (Linux distro) on this laptop, and it works excellently. The performance is great, it's snappy, the battery life rocks, the screen is great. Cons are: * Soldiered RAM (most non-Apple laptops of this size have socketed RAM) * Webcam doesn't work on Linux or OpenBSD * Stock HP Windows install is slow to boot when compared to fresh install Windows or Linux distros (Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora, and openSUSE) I won't leave stars out since (a) I change laptops every year or so (b) I don't use a webcam too often, so a USB webcam works (c) Windows can be re-installed to avoid slow boots and (d) I use a desktop remotely for heavy computing so 16GB RAM works for me here. For point C, less tech savvy users may want to avoid hard shutdowns if they don't have a friend to re-install. This laptop also lacks discrete graphics, which can be a con to some but doesn't bother me since I don't game or do content creation, so I enjoy the extra battery life.

Good but not what you want for on the go digital art. Without any real graphics it cant really do much of Adobes drawing suite at its 3K resolution much less anything larger... it does not have the strongest processor and for the $1300+ I paid for it at the time its not was I was expecting. It dose not do anything great but many things just ok. Is it light? yes. Can you fold it in 1/2 yes. Can you use it for some on the go creation art apps? Some... does it pack 1/2 the power of a comparable $1300 gaming laptop? NO.... and for it having a 3K touch screen it being so under powered in graphics makes it an odd duck that should not be obtained for more than $900...

Outstanding HP laptop! I bought this for my husband for Christmas and he loves it. His old laptop was already 6 years old and it was time for a new one. I bought his last one so this time I wanted to upgrade and give him a better quality laptop. HP Spectre definitely delivers and it is very easy to use. My husband loves how quickly it processes and maneuvers different websites. He also watches his favorite football and basketball games online without constant buffering and delays. The only problem here is that he now spends less time with me because he is in love with his new laptop.

I have been using the computer for about 6 weeks now. I bought it run multiple virtual machines, as I'm going through a few courses that require it - SEC560 (Penetration testing) and some others. For that purpose, it runs great! The 16GB of RAM and the i7 really work nicely and there isn't any significant lag when running a Linux VM, Windows VM, and bouncing back to my Kali Linux running on Windows 11 subsystem. Overall, it has been amazing so far! Very happy! I will update if something goes wrong with it over time.

Been using this for about a year, favorite laptop I've used, previously used a Surface and something Alienware. I always keep a ton of tabs open, and it never heats up. Played Minecraft once and it played wonderfully, didn't seem to strain the computer at all, still cool to the touch.

I really had been wanting this laptop from the start, but price kept menlooking for alternative options. After all my search I got it in the end. But unfortunately the hinge was going bad and one speaker very quiet. So I'm back to hunting again. Screen is awesome speeds outstanding doing all basic programs.

Excellent laptop. It does everything it’s supposed to do with excellence. It has an all aluminum casing, which you don’t see very often, as most laptops are plastic. It has many ports, touchscreen, pen, and fingerprint scanner. You can even use it in tablet mode because it’s a HP 360. I’m very pleased with my purchase!

Very nice laptop with a fast and i7 core12th gen processor and very decent battery life. Love the touch screen high resolution. The stylus pen works great and like the 2 in one feature, turning it into a tablet by folding the screen back. It's fairly light with a sturdy aluminum construction.

This is truly the most capable laptop I have ever owned. I am writing this review on said laptop about 7 months after I purchased on Black Friday. I bought it to replace a sluggish work issued laptop that just didn't deliver the performance I needed it to. As someone who both works from home and travels rather often for work, this laptop keeps up with whatever I am doing that day. It tackles running a multitude of spreadsheets and programs at once with ease. It is also spectacular at video display and has a great camera for all of the online meetings. As an added bonus, its a gorgeous color. Overall, I am very impressed and pleased with my purchase.

the speakers went out fairly quickly, there's no way to increase memory (16GB module is soldered to the board and the space for an additional module is printed on the board, but non physically present); seems to be kind of a waste of the processing and nvme drive (which is a removable/replaceable WD black, btw). Sometimes the system will resume from sleep, other times it doesn't. Space bar is finicky. I'd never pay listed price for this...even at 30% off (after actually having it) I realized I got an *almost* good deal.
