Customers often highlight the superb sound quality and comfortable design of the Cloud II Wired Gaming Headset. Many appreciate its compatibility with multiple gaming platforms and the detachable microphone. However, some users mention the headset's relatively short cable and lack of inline volume controls as drawbacks. A few also noted that the fit might be snug for some users, and that the bass could be improved.

Excellent sound quality, surround sound setting is nice for watching movies, etc. Control panel attached to headset cord allows for easy sound control. Slightly tighter around the ears than other brands.

It says in the title “Headset for Pc, Xbox, X/S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch and mobile” but on the box itself, it’s only compatible with Pc, Ps4, Xbox one & mobile. I bought it for my PS5 and it doesn’t work with it

To say I have owned a lot of headsets is an understatement. Since I have gotten back into hardcore gaming over 10 years ago, I have owned dozens of headsets. I currently have a Sennheiser Game One for my sim racing cockpit set up, I use a HyperX CloudX Pro for my Xbox One and I have this headset, the HyperX Cloud II for my desktop gaming PC. In summary, the Cloud II headset is just as good as any headset I have ever used on PC and so I cannot recommend it enough. Pros: -Very comfortable, whether you use pleather or fabric ear cushions -Comes with both pleather and fabric ear cushions, take your pick -Excellent sound, with plenty of detail, highs and lows and volume -Comes with built-in USB sound card, which offers volume adjustment and 7.1 surround sound at the touch of a button -Metal construction, feels very sturdy, yet is still relatively light on your head -Memory foam headband, very comfortable and soft -Long braided cable, you will have no problem connected it to your PC or console -Works on console and PC, but PC offers the option of surround sound, headset is stereo on console -No driver, just connect to a USB port and off you go -Price, even at the regular price of $99, this headset is a steal -Not wireless (if like me you do not like to hassle with batteries and recharging headsets, etc.) -Nice high quality packaging, makes you feel confident the headset is also high quality Cons: -Console compatibility is limited to stereo, also the volume is moderate -Cable from headset to sound card is permanently connected to headset, it is not removable. -Lacks deep, powerful bass -Not wireless (if no wires is a big deal to you) In summary, for PC gaming, you cannot go wrong with this headset. For console, there are better, louder options, but this still is a great option. Buy with confidence!

If you're looking for a great gaming headset but don't have a budget for a two hundred dollar headset with premium sound quality, this is absolutely the headset for you. It sounds great out of the box, it's not gonna empty your wallet like some other headsets I've seen, and there really aren't many qualms I have with it. But the few that I had for the headset are easily fixed. Pros: -Great sound out of the box -High quality sound card with the USB adapter with amazing 7.1 simulated surround that gives me a major edge when I play games like Rainbow Six Siege or Counter Strike: Global Offensive. -Not going to empty your wallet for a nice, quality, headset. -Choice of leatherette or... I want to say velvet (but it probably isn't) ear pads (If you use them for long periods of time I'd recommend switching them out, I personally prefer the leatherette but they are equally comfortable) -Directional/detachable microphone has great range of motion and can handle being moved back and forth from "in front of my face" to "out of the way" (for me to eat or drink) without getting weak or falling out of the headset -Comes with a great mesh bag to carry your headset, wires, and mic when you take your computer/laptop somewhere else to game. -I personally don't use the headphone/microphone jack adapter, but that's an option if you don't have enough USB ports. -Great noise cancelling, but that can cause some issues, as I will explain in the cons portion of this review. -Ear pads are extremely comfortable and I don't ever feel like my head is being squished after long periods (4 or 5 hour periods) of competitive gaming. -Great "unboxing" experience with the amazing red... honestly I'd call it a "case" instead of a "box". It feels like the headphones are being "presented" when you take off the lid and foam pad, rather than "opening a box and there they are" feel. Cons: -Microphone doesn't feed back through the headset. Normally that's not a problem, but the people around me have told me that I get a bit unnecessarily loud when I'm talking to a group of people in Discord, or giving callouts in game. (I wouldn't know, I can't hear myself) -HyperX doesn't have software for an equalizer. Now this is just personal preference, but for me its bass didn't have quite the punch I was used to from other headsets. But this was easily fixed by downloading a third-party sound program, boosting the bass a little bit, and now I wouldn't trade this headset for anything unless it was gold plated. -With the sound card/USB adapter, I find myself not using the headphone/microphone jack adapter ever (this is partially because those jacks on my PC are right next to my hand, so it takes up space. And the sound card built into the USB just gives me great physical control of my volume without having to get out of game) -The jack that the headphones plug into for the USB connector gets unplugged a lot (mostly because I accidentally pull it when I'm sitting on my couch) -If you don't have a desktop, or don't have a desk to use, the wire for the headset is short, but the wire for the USB adapter is a bit long. It's a bit weird, but honestly I'm sure you can just wrap the wire a little bit more than what it is out of the box and it'll be just fine. Honestly most of my cons are just from personal preference wanting it to be a little different, or perhaps a unique problem simply because of my gaming setup. This headset is pretty fantastic, and all the issues I have, I have found easy solutions or fixes for (except feeding the mic through my headset, still can't figure out how to do that). I didn't give this product 5 stars for two reasons: the mic doesn't feed through the headset, so people tend to have to yell at me if they want my attention; there isn't a HyperX software I could find to equalize the sound. When I tried to use my computer's equalizer, it went through the USB sound card and it didn't change anything. This may not be a problem for others, but if those things were there or if I at least had the OPTION to feed my mic back through my headset, then I would give this 5 stars. Plus, 5 stars should be reserved for studio quality headsets, and this is great, but there are definitely better headsets; but not for the price.

I bought these and the razor man-o-war 7.1 and did a comparison. I ask the guys/gals on p/c, Xbox one, and PS4. The majority of my friends in chat almost all agreed that this one sounds better on there end. As the razor manowar sounds a bit lower and some say I even echoed a few times in voice chat feedback. Now listening to the 7.1 in gaming is much more louder in this headset then the razor with the volume dial turned up. They both have the same capability to make it sound like someone is walking around you or shots fired from a certain direction, it’s just that the cloud 2 just sounds more louder and clear. The design for the headset isn’t as fancy as the other headsets but for me it works and it is comfortable. I like the fact that you get another set of ear cups, giving you the option to switch out the cups with either the pleather style cups or the soft suede style cups. Unlike the razor your stuck with what they have given you on the headset. I also like the removable mic so if your not in the mood to chat just pull out the mic and set it aside till plan to use it. The only downside I have against this is that with the razor it had a toggle for mute and volume dial. So when your playing on consoles you have no control over the volume unless you happen to buy one of those stereo adapters for your controller. Last that little sound card usb thing they both include, sounds much more nicer on the cloud 2 then on the razor manowar7.1. I really was trying to find a way to give razor an upper had but this one just hands down flat out beat it. Oh and if your wondering about weight, this one is a little lighter then the razor manowar7.1 and the v2 kraken. If you are wearing glasses or those gaming shades these are slightly forgiving on your ears then the ones on the razor. These cloud 2 will not disappoint.

I purchased this headset after my SteelSeries Siberia Elite Prism broke after a light drop. Went to Best Buy a few hours later and bought this headset. Immediately I realized that it was better. First of all the comfort is amazing. I can wear this for hours and not even feel like I'm wearing it. The sound is great (7.1 surround sound is a nice touch on a headset for this price however few games really support and it and utilize it at all. The mic being deattachable is nice (personally I don't use it) but it is nice. The different set of ear cushions are greatly appreciated and something even my twice as expensive headset didn't offer. But one at half the price has it. The sound card is nice because it makes the mic usable in certain programs which other wise can't be used I using 3.5mm jacks. It still keeps the 3.5mm connectivity for use in phones, PlayStation 4 among other things. If you want a good headset for below $100 I can strongly recommend this headset over anything else. Thanks for reading my review and I hope you found it helpfull. PS this headset can easily rival headsets at 3 times the cost.

I did a lot of research before buying this headset. The packaging was so nice I had a hard time throwing it away. Very impressive! The headset is very comfortable. I use it everyday. It seems to be well built and sturdy. The mic quality is very good according to my friends who listened to me through a chat program. The surround sound feature sounds really good. I have no complaints.

If you want a good-sounding gaming headset for less than $100, the HyperX Cloud II ($99) is one of the most comfortable, stylish options you can buy. The headset's virtual 7.1 surround-sound capabilities do an admirable job of highlighting your games' more subtle sounds, and its lightweight design makes it a cozy companion for marathon play sessions.

Great sound light weight and clean looking headset the only thing I’m not impressed with is that when you hook up with the 3.5 mm cable to controllers you have no easy acces volume control Thing are named right being clouds, super comfortable and light compared to stealth 700 maybe not quite as good sounding but also $50 cheaper overall nice set of cans

I needed a headset I could use with my PC, cell phone and Xbox One. I searched and read reviews on a variety brands. Once I narrowed down the choices, I went to several local stores for a hands on listening experience. By far the HyperX Cloud II headset fit my needs without breaking the bank. The removable mic is great for when I just want to listen to music, movies etc. It has a digitally enhanced, noise-cancelling microphone with automatic gain control functionality and echo cancellation. No one can tell I'm using a headset when I'm on my phone. Sound is excellent! HyperX Cloud II is Hi-Fi capable, with 53mm drivers for superior audio performance and rich sound quality with crystal-clear low, mid and high tones and enhanced bass via the sound card. This sound is further enhanced by the hardware-driven virtual 7.1 surround sound. Finally (but not to be minimized) the headset is very comfortable to wear for hours on end!

Comfortable, nice that you can swap between two ear cushions, great sound, nice volume control, 7.1 surround is great, great for fps games, nice microphone. Random strangers in games comment how nice my mic sounds. The only negative is the 3.5mm jack cord is too short! The headset fits controllers with a 3.5 audio connection and i guess it's made short for those controllers. But use it for anything else and it's way too short. Guitar amp or computer connection it sucks being that short! The rest of the cord is usb and plenty long enough. Nice that you have both connections, but the 3.5 is not versatile beyond a controller. I prefer wired so no messing with recharging and battery failure. Some reinforcement at the end of the usb cord would be nice. Mine attaches straight up from the top of my pc. Worried that bend won't last as long as it could. So far zero issues.

I've tried various other headsets throughout the years because the microphone on this headset is good, but not the best. Every time I switch, I come back to this headset because of the comfort it offers me for long gaming sessions. I don't get any ear pain at all even after 8+ hour days of gaming and working with this headset. If you want comfort, don't hesitate to purchase the HyperX Cloud 2. If you suffer from ear pain from other gaming headsets, give these a try, your ears will thank you! My wife has a pair of HyperX Cloud 1's that are also very comfortable. Also please note that my first pair of Cloud 2's broke after about 3 years. I am not the kindest to my gear and it could have lasted longer. This next pair I've had for about 15 months with no sign of damage.

The Hyper X Cloud II is, put simply, one of the best gaming headsets in its price range – solidly built, well designed, extremely comfortable and it sounds great. Mic levels are fully adjustable and the simulated 7.1 surround works quite well. If I have one small gripe with this headset, it is that the actual mic audio sounds over compressed – which stands in sharp contrast to the very warm sound you’ll get out of in-game audio. Though it must also be noted that the noise canceling is quite good. You will be able to stream with Blue Switches using this headset. Another added bonus is that the Hyper X Cloud II is semi modular, so you can take it with you on the go – leaving the base plugged into your PC - and have a great set of stereo headphones you can use anywhere. Top quality headset for a mid range price.

Had these for a couple months now, upgraded from my Turtle Beach XO Four Stealth after my third pair broke on me. Theyre lightweight, really easy on the ears, and comfortable to wear with glasses. The sound is gorgeous, I have a bass booster on it from my previous headset and I love playing PUBG with them (except for when I'm in a red zone lol). Does a good job of cancelling your background noise, I turn on a box fan and piano music when my SO lays down and my friends can't hear it through my headset. The braided cord is always nice too. I'd definitely recommend these for console gaming if that's what you're looking for, my PC isn't up to snuff for gaming so I couldn't tell you about the audio controller and whatnot.
