So, bought this product because it had a WiFi app which was great. The app let you know the status of the unit with alerts for open freezer door, temperature, loss of power. The app just disappeared from Best Buy. When I called Best Buy, tech support said the app was taken off with no explanation of why. - so they have me a 50.00 gift card- wow I feel so much better now! NOT!!!!

To be clear, this 2-star review is directed toward the Best Buy department responsible for validating that the provided dimensions listed on their website match actual/real-world dimensions. To further clarify, the Insignia 13.8 cu. ft. WiFi convertible freezer/refrigerator (m/n NS-UZ14XSS8) quality/features/functionality, delivery and removal of old freezer rate a 5 out of 5 stars. Here is the issue... Best Buy lists the "Product Height" as "61.02 inches," this is incorrect. While the height of this unit, *minus* the door and top hinge cover, are indeed 61.02 inches, the door and hinge cover add almost 3/4 of an inch (i.e. actual overall height is 61.73", *not* 61.02"). For consumers who are only concerned with the height from the rear and 25" forward, not the total 29.53" depth, this will not be a problem as the measurement provided on Best Buy's website is accurate (i.e. 61.02"). But for those individuals, like me, who have an object at 61.60" right where the freezer (with door) is to be installed, installation will be an issue. Fortunately, I was able to make a modification to the object (a round water meter that sticks out about 8"); however, I was not counting on needing to make an adjustment to a water pipe to accommodate this freezer/refrigerator. Note to Best Buy, please unbox one of these units, go get a tape measure, measure the unit and update the product height on your website so your customers will know if this unit will fit prior to purchasing. Also, after you update the information on your website, please acknowledge this change by responding to my review so your customers are not confused when they read my review and see that the product height is no longer 61.02". Once again, I want to make abundantly clear that this 2-star review is *not* related to the fine gentlemen who delivered this unit and removed my old freezer, nor is it related to the quality/features/functionality of this unit; so far it is working great. This 2-star review is solely directed at the Best Buy department responsible for validating, then providing critical details to their customers via their website. Finally, as for if "I would recommend this to a friend," my current response is "No;" however, if Best Buy corrects the product dimensions, then my response will be "Yes."

The Insignia App needs to be fixed ASAP. The App does not work for upright freezers. It will not correctly read any temperature below Zero. The App will not set the Freezer to temperatures below Zero. This defeats the whole purpose of buying Insignia for remote control and monitoring the temperature of the freezer. Recommend don’t buy until App is fixed.
