Nice little HDTV set for the bedroom.

I bought this TV to use for my bedroom. I am an avid TV watcher and video streamer, and I am very satisfied with the HD picture quality and the TV was easy to set up in my room. The sound quality was great, except it was missing a little bass. I hooked up my rabbit ears antenna onto this HDTV set and received 31 over-the-air broadcast channels! Probably because I live in a big city, I tend to get more over-the-air antenna channels in my area. Roku LT worked great on this TV set as well. The features were easy to set up and the quality so far for me has been good considering it's an HDTV set at a bargain. Using Xbox 360 on an HDMI cable also gave the picture quality a great looking HD picture quality to it. I mostly view this TV set from 4 to 5 feet from me while I'm sitting down near my table on a folding chair. I had no more need for a converter box as I get to watch 31 over-the-air broadcast channels through my antenna and I was quite satisfied with the antenna channels I was getting. And the picture quality is amazing!
My only complaints about this TV would be the size of the HDTV set can be too small to view while I'm watching the TV in my small little bedroom. Which makes me squint my eyes to see the picture. And some of the programming on some channels, I get the left and right side of my programming cropped and I get a square-like screen format while watching some TV shows and movies. Some DVD's I play on my Xbox 360 and movies I watch on Roku LT also have the same problem where the screen format makes it difficult to watch the picture and programming considering the size of this TV set.
Overall, the quality of the TV was great. I had to buy an affordable HDTV set for my bedroom as I found my old Magnavox analog TV to be obsolete and it took too much space on the table where I normally put my TV. I would recommend this TV for people looking to put a TV set in a small bedroom or kitchen more likely. It was affordable and I'm pretty satisfied with it.

We purchased this TV for our kitchen, so one of the main things we wanted was for it to take up little space but have a decent screen size. Thankfully that is exactly what we got with this particular model as it fit perfectly in our kitchen without taking up any excessive space. The picture quality is also good and without any problems. The same can be said about the audio as it sounds perfectly fine.
Now there is one slight problem however, the remote control. There appears to be a slight delay whenever we use the control to turn the TV on, switch channels, and so on. We press the buttons on the controller but unfortunately the TV does not receive them as quickly as it should sometimes. I did check the batteries, even switched them to a fresh pair, but the problem is still there. I also checked to see if there might be something else in the room that might be causing interference, but did not find anything. Ultimately, it does seem to be just a problem with the remote control (maybe I just got a slightly defective one), but it is not a huge issue as the TV itself works fine so far.
Like I said before, the TV fit perfectly in our space and looks and sounds fine. The remote control may have some issues but it is currently not a deal breaker for our family. I would recommend this TV for rooms where space might be an issue as it does not take up much room and the price is just right.

I was looking for a small HDTV for my home office, and this one fit the bill. It is small, lightweight, easy to set up, has good brightness and contrast, a decent picture, and 2 HDMI inputs. It looks small sitting next to my 27 inch computer monitor, but it works great in the space.

I bought this 19" Insignia HDTV for my wife as a Christmas gift. It was on sale which made the price a great deal at around $120. We have an office/home gym with a treadmill and indoor cycle so this was an addition to pass the time while doing her cardio. Of course she loved because it had all the basics needed to watch quality picture programming. It has 2 HDMI outlets so I hooked up our AT&T U-Verse Wireless Receiver and a DVD Player for her favorite shows and fitness routines. The screen is small but it does have a great resolution and multiple color and picture formats. The television weighs very little so you don't have to spend much money to purchase a wall mount to support and is easy enough to handle that one person is all it takes.
My only complaint is that the volume is very weak. I am sure it would be good if it was used for everyday viewing but the main purpose was to be watched while operating a treadmill and bike. It is so hard to hear the tv over the sound of a treadmill motor so you have to raise the volume all the way up which doesn't make it better just higher pitched. We have to use subtitles if we aren't on the bike which operates at a much more quiet level. But you do have to take into consideration that it is a small TV so I wasn't expecting deep, thunderous THX quality surround sound. As with any HDTV, no matter what size, use HDMI to get the best picture quality regardless of what you're watching. I guarantee you will notice the difference!

Bought this TV over a year ago to go in my kitchen. Before I mounted it to the wall, I used it to play a little Xbox first and it looked amazing. Then I mounted it to the wall with a full-motion bracket. I use this in the kitchen all the time now. I'm generally a casual TV viewer, but it's nice having something to watch/listen to while I'm making dinner. Also, my 18 month old daughter likes hanging around me while I'm in the kitchen, so I'll plop her in her high chair and she'll watch Mickey Mouse on the TV while I cook. Unfortunately, as much as my wife loves TV, this new TV in the kitchen still hasn't convinced her to take up more interest in cooking.
BTW: This TV would make a great PC display as well, as it has a VGA input, plus it has 2 HDMI inputs, which is pretty rare for a 19" TV

I needed a new television for the kitchen and wanted a tv with a small profile that would fit into a built in cabinet. This tv fits the bill. The picture is great. Easy to set up. Very good price. Sound leaves a little to be desired, not much bottom end. The sound is not a major disappointment, considering that a 19 inch TV would not be expected to have large full range speakers. Over all I am very happy with this purchase.

There are not many TVs in this size to choose from. The big name brands focus on their larger sets. I found that Insignia provides an excellent and inexpensive set that has most of the features found only in the larger and more expensive units. There is an ample variety of input and output jacks available on the side and back panels to accomodate most desired hookups to other equipment. The picture quality is excellent - a 1080 resolution is not necessary in this screen size. The speakers, as is the case with all small sets, are necessarily small, resulting in, what I found to be, an intolerably horrible, tinny sound. This led me to another extensive search to find decent external speakers. It all depends on what sound quality you find acceptable. Since the sound problem can be dealt with, this is your best buy in a 19" TV.

We have no wall space so we needed a TV that would fit between the counter and upper cabinets. This does so nicely, fitting closely to the rear of the counter retaining counter space for working in front of it. Overall sound and picture are good.

Was in the need for a new security monitor and this one was perfect. Great size and picture and the price was perfect. Now since this is a tv with hdmi outputs, it becomes a multi use product. I can take my Apple TV and use it to mirror my other apple products and use it for presentations. It's light and compact, so moving it is a cinch.

Chose this set for the kitchen when we cancelled cable and found out it was almost as inexpensive as the crummy digital converters we would need for our old analog set. Very happy with it in that setting. The broadcast HD channels look quite nice, and even the standard definition stations look good. It was easy to set up and tweak the picture. Picks up all the channels our 50" plasma can get with just a very cheap external antennae. It does require you to enter the full channel number (i.e., 4.1 rather than just 4) which is annoying (all other digital tuners we have will default to 4.1 if you just press the "4") and channel changing is so slow you really can't "surf." Still overall quite happy with it.

I bought this to replace an old 19" TV in the bedroom. I had this on a wall-mount up near the ceiling and I discovered several problems once I had the new one installed. 1) The picture seems much smaller than the old square 19", even though it's MUCH clearer. 2) When viewed at any angle other than straight-on, the screen gets fuzzy-dark. I had to adjust it a lot to get a good viewing angle from the bed. When standing next to the bed, the picture is not so good. 3) The manual ON/OFF switch is on TOP of the television, so I can only power it up or down using the remote.
Bottom line - this television would be excellent placed atop a dresser or somewhere that the viewing angle is less of an issue and the controls are easily reached. I made the wall mount work, but it wasn't easy. Installation itself was a snap, as was connecting and tuning it to my various devices.

The TV is just the right size for the smallish bedroom. It fits compactly on the dresser and hardly takes up any room. The picture is very vivid and the sound can be heard quite clearly. It was easy to install. A good price. Just what we were looking for.

This product is excellent value for the money, especially compared to the competitor products. Lightweight, elegant and an extremely clear monitor. We returned and bought a 2nd one of these TV's to replace a old-fashioned portable TV in another bedroom due to the great quality and value. It does not include an HDMI cable, you need to purchase this separately.

I bought this to replace a dinosaur that finally gave out after 25 years. I like the picture, easy set up, the price was good but there was a dead pixel straight out the box. I've been traveling and was going to return it upon my return only to find that I had missed the deadline. After researching the web about dead pixels some have suggested that it is so common that it may be better to just keep it because the next one may have more than one dead pixel. I am going to call Best Buy and check my warranty. Its just one red dot and you can barely see it but I expected more after reading the reviews.

This is a very nice basic TV at a great price. Just wanted simple TVs for kitchen & bedroom. The sound is tinny, but all of the flat screnss seem to have poor sound; the menu has several presets for sound, and some of them improve the audio. Easy to set up, and the picture looks great. Has all the connections, too. Have it connected by HDMI to my ROKU box.

The picture is great for this size TV. Displays changing pictures clearly and cleanly. Adds the appearance of depth very nicely. "Auto aspect picture" is a very good feature enabling easy switching from HD to non-HD. Sound is average. Some programs are slightly garbled unless volume is increased. TV seems slow to respond to remote control input commands. Channel changes are slow and other functions (picture aspect, audio) are slow to activate when changes are made.
