I've had this dishwasher for 8 months now with zero issues. It's INCREDIBLY quiet & cleans very well. The 3rd (top) rack for silverware & large, flat pans is very convenient. Installed it easily myself. Bought this on an incredible deal & it turned out to be worth twice what I paid for it.

    WHAT!!! FOR THIS CHEAP!!!

I will tell you some accurate cycle times which nobody seems to list. So okay, let me start by saying I'm an employee of BBY and this of course is a BBY product..... that being said this dishwasher has totally blown away my expectations. I've had a whirlpool for years and it's been pretty much okay but lasted quite a while so I can say whirlpool is cool. My parents have a loud and not so good dishwasher that rhymes with Blam-Flung that we all hate and wish would just die in order to justify a new one. That being said we have both previously had GE machines that really did well, way to go GE!. On to the new machine that is this Insignia: Cycle times start at 90min and go up from there. The average time of a full load that I like to run at high heat (because I am horrible at pre-rinsing my dishes) is a little over 2 hours. If you run a heavy high temp load you are looking at 2 hours and 20 min. I still haven't run all max settings but according to the clock on top the total run time on full out is only 2hr 30min. But to be really honest I really don't care how long it runs at this point because it is so QUIET!!! My dishwasher is in my island closest to the living room (I know, not smart) but this new one is so quiet that I can still hear quiet ominous DC movie dialog right next to the thing. And despite my water being harder than a Russian prison my dishes come out totally clean (with some Jet-Dry of course). Stainless steel interior tub, adjustable middle rack, top rack for silverware and jar and tupperware lids as I've found, and no stupid center spike that comes up in the bottom rack to deal with. I've put some really deep (like 10qt stock pots) in the bottom rack and it still clears the center rack spinning washer thing. I wish I could elaborate more but this unit just works great. Get one, you won't be sorry.

Bought this during a kitchen remodel and because the old one was having issues. Have been using it for about 6 months, so I think I've had enough time to judge. The positives are what you'd expect: cleans well, stainless interior. But there are just some issues making me take it down a star. They've made me reconsider buying this model but it's really about preferences. My complaints: - I've been using it over 6 months and I still don't have an idea the best way to load it. You know how you develop a system that best arranges your various dishes to optimize space? The rack designs are just a mess and I feel like there's always wasted space. - There's no vent for steam to escape during the dry cycle, so your dishes will always be a bit wet. There seems to be a seam along the top right of the door, so now some steam gets out and puddles up on top of the door. It's generally fine if you pop the door open after it's done. - Maybe I haven't figured out a workaround, but forget about trying to sneak in/out anything after starting a cycle. I'm used to being able to open the door mid cycle to throw something in I'd forgotten or take out something I need, but that blows its mind and wants to start the cycle all over instead. - 2+ hours for a regular cycle seems too long. - The bottom rack loves to get off track. I took for granted the ability to push the bottom rack in with my foot, so now I have to make sure to push it in directly at a 90° angle. - Haven't figured out much use for the slender top rack except it's great for chopsticks. Am I picky? Absolutely. I won't tell anyone not to get it. Price was good, it'll wash your dishes no problem, just know it comes with the above annoyances and decide accordingly.

We needed a new dishwasher and I looked at a lot of places and read a lot of reviews. Best Buy had a great deal on this Dishwasher, some of the reviews talked about the control panel being sensitive, others talked about confusing codes, but no one talked about it being a lousy cleaning machine. I think this is a great cleaning machine for dishes. I really like the third shelf for silverware. Everything is adjustable, from height of middle shelf to 90% of the pins to hold dishes apart. 5 stars for the machine and 5 stars for the installation. In and out in no time. The Top Control is great, I have had no problems with it being sensitive, and have never had a code to look up because it runs great. I have even opened it up when it wasn't finished because it is so quite. Have now had it in house for 30 days and use it daily.

So far so good. Seems to clean well. Reasonably quiet. I like the 3rd row (pretty much a must have feature for me) and this was the cheapest 3rd rack model I could find. The one I received had a large dent in the back. It does not appear to affect functionality but I do wish it was packed a bit better and or used a slightly thicker metal for the tub. That said BB made good and gave a decent discount to account for the damage (I really needed a dishwasher and didn't want to wait for a new one). Overall I would probably purchase it again.

I am thoroughly impressed with the Insignia™ 24” Built-In Dishwasher. The top control design is intuitive and convenient to use. The addition of a 3rd rack provides extra space for utensils and small items, making it extremely practical. The Sensor Wash feature ensures efficient cleaning, adapting to the load for optimal results. The stainless steel tub not only adds durability but also contributes to a sleek and modern aesthetic. Operating at a quiet 49 dBA, this dishwasher maintains a peaceful kitchen environment during its cycles. Overall, it combines functionality, efficiency, and a stylish design, making it a standout appliance in my kitchen.

This dishwasher is the best i have ever had. I like the modular design of the racks. You can customize it based on what you are washing. It is also super quiet. It is easy to use, and washes and dries the dishes very well. I have not tried all the settings yet, but i am very impressed. The price was very good too.

Have had this for quite awhile. It does everything that it is supposed to do and has more options (all stainless tub and door, third rack, relatively quiet) than name brands at this price point. for medium duty use its great. everything gets pre-rinsed before adding, so large chunks of food are usually removed, so cannot report on heavy-duty use. Overall have been very satisfied with its use over the last couple years. One minor con is that I do not know how to silence the tone on it as it can be pretty loud if you have a young ones room near the kitchen.

Recently bought this on sale, which was timely because our old dishwasher had bit the dust. I'm super happy with all the features we got for the price (stainless steel tub, 3rd rack, very quiet). The install wasn't too bad, just a bit time consuming for someone who's never done it before. Overall, the only thing that remains to be seen is the longevity...the old unit lasted over 10 yrs. With any luck we can get something similar from this one!

I was thinking of getting a Bosch dishwasher because my old Maytag was finally dying. I was looking at dishwashers and saw the Insignia brand one and it was almost half the price with all the features I wanted. So I read the previous reviews and took the chance. The manager even gave me 10% off because I'm a veteran. I installed it with ease and have been using it for a month now. I can barely hear it running it's so quiet. Also it holds so much stuff and I love the third rack. I also like that you can move the silverware tray around to different locations in stead of one fixed spot. It also has the ability to fold down the fingers that hold your stuff so you can be more versatile for different big bowls or pans. The second shelf also can slide up and down for taller stuff. Best dishwasher for the price.

This dishwasher is awesome! Energy efficient, stainless steel inside and out, 3rd rack for utensils or lids, many cleaning options, and the best part is that everything comes out squeaky clean! I like to use the express cycle. Also, it's easy to use, it has the option of delayed start, and filters are easy to remove and clean. Best bang for your buck. Only downside is that when the cycle ends, there's still some water left on some dishes, so I have to shake off and let them air dry, or towel-dry before putting them away.

This dishwasher has been amazing so far. The 3rd rack is game changing - being able to put all of our silverware up there and freeing up more space in the bottom rack allows us to put more in, especially extra pots and pans that we otherwise wouldn't be able to fit usually. And larger utensils also fit on the top rack easily. If you do keep the classic silverware holder in the bottom, it is modular so you can take part of it out and give yourself at least a little more room in the bottom rack if you want. But so far, we just removed it entirely and haven't run out of silverware room yet. The bottom rack also has a flip up support to hold tall items like cutting boards or large pans. This is super useful, don't have to lean that stuff against other plates or items to keep them from falling over anymore. I hope it stays solid (since it can be flipped down, it isn't a fixed support), but it does feel like it will last and not wear out. Some of the other bottom rack supports can be flipped down too, but I don't think that is much of a help in most cases since basically everything will fit decent enough on the supports, and it is nice to have them there to keep things in place better with less likelihood of banging into other items. I like that it doesn't have a handle sticking out the front for kids to hang on or to press against when standing by the counter, it can sit flush with the edge of the counter which I think looks really nice. And the inside is stainless steel so staining and smelling shouldn't be an issue. It is much quieter than our old machine. Not as quiet as I have heard some other higher end machines, but more than acceptable for us, we can watch a movie in the next room which is basically joined and it doesn't drown out the sound anymore. It doesn't have a super annoying end of cycle song that plays, so you can delay the start for at night and not worry about it waking someone up. The only issue I had was installing it, and it wasn't a problem, just a difference that the initial install in our home didn't account for future machines. This dishwasher doesn't have as much empty space beneath it (probably why there is room for the 3rd rack??) so I had to drill new holes farther back closer to the wall for the electric, water, and drain to the basement since I couldn't slide back in using the old holes. It wasn't really a problem, just a minor install difference that was easy to accommodate - and is completely worth getting the extra space inside the tub for the 3rd rack!

I’ve had this dishwasher for over a year (purchased June 22, 2024), and it still works exactly like the day I bought it — powerful cleaning, flawless drying, and whisper-quiet operation. Even after daily use, it hasn’t lost an ounce of performance. Reliable, efficient, and built to last. I’d recommend it 100% and would buy it again without hesitation!

Very quiet, easy to use. Cleans all the dishes pretty good. Only complaint is the 2nd rack (for your cups) sometimes does not have enough clearance for a few cups because of the 3rd rack. Of course you can remove it (I haven't). The 2nd rack can adjust to make more room for taller dishes but than big pans on the 1st rack don't always enough have enough room. You just have to be mindful where you put your tall cups (I've just started putting them on the 1st rack and it's not a huge problem l. Just something to keep in mind. All in all, very good price, high quality and quiet.

Bought this a little over a month ago and I wanted to see how it did before doing a review. It is super quiet as advertised. Cleans everything really well. I love the 3rd rack to do the spatulas and cooking spoons etc. The drying system got a great grade from consumers report, but I give it only a four star. It does not dry plastic fully and even coffee mugs have a little left over water. Overall I am thrilled with this dryer. Quiet, great cleaning, mostly does a good job drying. If it lasts 10 years I will really love it! Highly recommend for the price!

Running well so far. Not too loud. Cleans quite well and if run during the night with the drying features on they are dry and crystal clear in the morning. Quality case insulation as well. The plastics and trays are somewhat flimsy and will likely not hold up to abuse, but so far it works well.

Great Replacement for our 8 year old Whirlpool

We had an 8-year-old whirlpool that didn't seem to be able to clean well anymore. Even though it appeared to be a sturdy machine, we no longer trusted it. We decided to go for the BestBuy home brand because we didn't want to spend 1000 bucks on one of the best-known brands. It arrived in good order, and installing it was a breeze. It worked perfectly from the start. It has a lot more space than the previous machine, including a third tray for cutlery (which will save us some finger cuts when somebody isn't paying attention and puts knives in edge-up). The machine feels lighter than our previous one, and I have no idea whether that means it is more flimsy or made with more modern material. We use it up to two or three times a day. It is pretty quiet, and so far, we don't have a single complaint.
