Cools very well. Is louder than I expected but not really a problem. Easy to install. I chose this style because my bedroom window is at the front of my house that everyone sees when coming up to my home. I did not want a window A/C hanging out of my window and dripping onto my walkway and landscaping. My bedroom stays very hot, even in the winter time. This becomes a huge problem in the summer months. I have had this air conditioner for approximately 4 weeks and the weather has been fairly cool. My bedroom has still stayed very warm. However, once I installed the air conditioner it has made a huge difference. I have kept the setting at 68. Once summer comes around I may need to lower the temperature but I think it will be able to keep up. For the price this air conditioner is amazing! Very easy to install and doesn’t take up too much room. Haven’t noticed an increase on my electricity bill yet but I expect to see a change during the summer when I’m assuming it will run more often and probably for longer periods. I will attempt to update the review once I get a feel for the cooling capability during the summer months.

A little loud and unit is heavy, but product works great. AC cools down my 120 sq ft office quickly and its easy to operate. Going forward I'll probably opt for a mini split AC unit, but this is doing the job in the meantime. Picked up at a decent price.

Welp, this is a fairly good portable air conditioner at a reasonable price. It does the job, although admittedly it's a bit overpowered for the space it's cooling off. It's not overly loud but it's definitely not quiet; it does make for good white noise for sleeping though, and at this point it doesn't make a big thumping sound whenever the compressor kicks in, so economy/energy saver mode is OK for sleep unless you're a very light sleeper. As with all portable air conditioners, you need to vent the hot air out the window, and this kit comes with everything you need. However, the hose it comes with is slightly "proprietary" meaning that if you want to use a different hose or a different window mount, you'll have to do a little bit of hacking. That said, if you use the parts it comes with, it makes it really easy to snap the hose on and off (I had to use a different window mount because of the size of the window). So all in all, a pretty good buy. Time will tell how long it lasts. Look for the sales!

It blows cold air, cools the room fast. Great small area ac unit .its easy to set up, very affordable.

Picked this up as a temp solution while HVAC was getting repaired. 2 weeks use before the HVAC system was fixed but when I say this little unit pulled us through... it's an understatement. It worked so well, I got 2 just for GP. Easy to instal, has a remote, and gets cold cold cold. Paid just over 20% of the original cost, but it looked and worked just like new.

Worked great was small and compact and it really made my Living room cool has been blowing good the last 3 years I’ve had it no problems so far

This was a lifesaver during the summer while working from home in my home office. Installing it was a breeze, and I love that it comes with a remote and wheels for easy movement. The sound can get pretty loud at times, but it’s worth it for the cooling power and convenience it offers.

Wow… This thing saved my life. It was the middle of the Summer and it was HOT!!! And on top of that, I had surgery. My daughter had Freon put in my unit, but it went quick because of a large leak. I bought this out of pure instinct of survival lol. But seriously it worked so well! To make it more efficient I closed off my master bedroom off to the rest of the house and lived in the cold. It gets really, really cold. I would recommend for anyone needing an a/c in any area that that you need cold air,

This works great! It really cools a 10 x 14 room in summertime. Not too noisy. But when it comes to my electric bill, it adds at up to 200 dollars. Gosh! I can't believe it would add up too much. I turned it on almost every day because I need the room to be cold during summertime. However, it does its job cooling the room:-) There is only small amount of water that will come out. Every once a week we check and drain the water. Installation is not hard. This should be near the window.

This portable unit is tiny but mighty. It cools the room fast and efficiently. It was fast and easy to install, under 30 minutes to have the unit up and running. The casters make it easy to move if necessary. I purchased in order to trim the exorbitant power bill and it has accomplished the job so much better than expected. I would highly recommend and am considering purchasing a second one.

This portable AC is a bit loud, but honestly, for the price and the cool air it pumps out, it was totally worth it. It kept me comfortable all summer when things got unbearable. If you’re looking for an affordable way to beat the heat, this does the job.

I recently purchased the Insignia portable air conditioner, and I have to say, it’s been a real game changer for my home comfort. Living in a small apartment without central air can be tough during those hot summer months, but this little unit has made a huge difference. First off, setup was straightforward. I didn’t need any extra tools, and it was ready to go in less than an hour. It came with a window venting kit that fit my window perfectly, which I appreciated. Once I turned it on, I was impressed by how quickly it cooled down the room. It’s surprisingly powerful for its size, and I didn’t have to wait long to feel the difference. The temperature control is easy to use, and having a remote is a nice touch—no more getting up from the couch to adjust the settings. One thing I really like is the different modes. You can switch from cool to fan, and even a dehumidify option, which is great for those sticky days when you just need the humidity taken down a notch. It’s also relatively quiet, which is a bonus; I can still watch TV or have a conversation without shouting over it. There are a couple of downsides, though. It does need to be drained regularly, especially in more humid conditions, which is something I didn’t expect. And while it's pretty portable, moving it around can be a bit cumbersome since it's not the lightest unit out there. Overall, I’m really happy with my Insignia portable air conditioner. It’s made my summer much more bearable, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an efficient cooling solution for smaller spaces!

Serves its purpose. I live in an apartment with wall a/c unit in the living room and in the master bedroom, but nothing in the 2nd bedroom and it gets really hot in the summer. I'm a petite girl who lives pretty much by myself, I took it out of the box when I was in the car before I brought it inside. I used my little cart to wheel it, it is heavy, but I was cautious. Very easy to install, and so convenient with the remote and it gets icy cold. Love it!

This is nice and cold, a lifesaver to have in this heat. I love all the functions and remote control. I use it in my bedroom. Easy setup, I would recommend it. Be aware it is pretty heavy

Works great. Got my room cold completely. Subtle noise but there is a noise. Not too loud however.

I've gone through 1 summer so far and I've been very impressed with this little guy. Blows out consistently cool air, very easy to put together and attach the hose. Very good product for the price - would recommend.

This portable AC works fast and well to cool a small room ! It is a little on the noisy side and I have put it in “sleep” mode with the hopes that it would quiet down, but it does not. Set-up for the window was fairly easy (have vertical window set up) but I was only set 3 “pegs” for sizing of the window and needed 4.

Great performance and it cools the room fast. The only downside is it’s a little louder than I would like, but overall it’s still a good product.

This portable ac is very easy to set up. Quiet operation. Keeps the room cold and at a steady temperature. We have this set up in a medium sized bedroom and it has been working very well. Easy to maintain as well. Would recommend!
