We were looking for a 32" for our bedroom. Looked around, comparing prices and reading reviews. Found great reviews on this site of these Insignia tvs and great prices advertised in store! Came in and was delighted to find a much larger size, 1080p, SMART tv for just a tiny bit more than a 32" plain ol' non-Roku model. Picture, color, options, apps, ease of use, ease of remote... I'm really glad we found this tv!

My E Series Vizio went pitch black on me, so I decided to do some research first and I decided to buy this product, I am amazed with the resolution more of a HD effect than my Vizio..Price is amazing as well..Hopefully, it will last...The only reason why I gaved it a 4 star is because it looks smaller than my 1st Vizio Led TV (37 INCH).

Lacks antenna tv features

You'd think all of the big tech websites would mention something about the, you know, tv features like the antenna input of Roku TVs but they do not. I couldn't find one review of ANY Roku TV that goes in depth about the antenna/broadcast features. I had to buy one to find out.
I've had previous Samsung tvs display the current program, what on next, and even some have a guide that pulls the info from all of the broadcast channels - similar looking to an X1 guid.
This tv just displays what's on now. That's it. Title and short description and the obvious resolution and Dolby, CC info. You can't see what's on next.
We all know what Roku can do by now and I just wish reviewers on YouTube would not focus on how HBO Go looks.
With all of the Internet related features, you'd think there'd be a way for Roku to pull a program guide or something.
If you're a big over the air watcher, you may need a smartphone app to help tell you what's on later.

Unfortunately these units do not provide future programming information, so this is not a available feature. I do thank you for the feedback, and will forward that requested functionality to our engineers. - Jon, Insignia Support

Just what I was looking for in a tv for the bedroom - 40" smart tv. Very easy to set up, picture and sound are as good as my more expensive living room tv. Price was more than reasonable.

I received this as a Christmas gift and I totally loved it. It was easy to use, the picture was good, and you can search for movies or shows in one spot and the TV will search all of the apps to find that particular show. Then One day while I was watching TV while the screen went black. I took it to Best Buy to the geek squad and they told me that they have to send the TV some where for r repair. It turns out the screen was defective. The TV has been in the repair shop going on three weeks now. I think it's a reasonable request the Best Buy just replace the TV with a new one insignia is their product and they should stand by it.

Easy set-up, user friendly, great picture, and very good sound! I could not be happier with this purchase. Streaming is easy and fun with Roku and cable box works perfectly. Even pairs with my laptop for perfect Windows 10 40in monitor!

Last I checked, Roku is a TV and not a PC, so it's main purpose is for watching TV programming and not surfing the internet. This TV is set up to show the home screen with the apps instead of the TV programming when it is powered on. Insignia says the Roku TVs are designed for surfing the Internet so there's no way to change that feature. Because of this stupid feature on this smart TV, you have to use 2 remotes in order to be able to watch TV. This is a TV so it's main purpose is watching TV programming, so that's what should come on when the TV is powered on. The home screen should only come up when you push the home screen button so that you have the option to use the apps that are available. I certainly would not recommend this TV to anyone until there is an update to fix this feature. That is something the user should be able to change. This TV has a great picture and great sound, but because The user is not able to completely personalize the TV to suit their needs, this is not a very smart TV. I will update my review for this TV when there is an update to make this a changeable feature.

There is an option to set the cable service as the default input, and can be set rather easily. I would suggest contacting us at www.InsigniaProducts.com/support/contact.html for step by step instructions. - Jon, Insignia Support

Great ROKU television

I ordered this television and had it delivered to my home. The instructions say to get everything hooked up before you turn in on. That was a mistake. I got everything hooked up, turned it on, and then realize the screen was cracked and it didn't work. I made a quick trip to Best Buy and exchanged the TV without a problem. They turned on the new one in the store to ensure it worked. The setup was easy, especially if you've used a regular ROKU product before. The ROKU is fully integrated and very simple to use. Using regular cable,a DVR, or other products are also a breeze. I've had the television for a month and haven't had any problems with it. Except for the initial problem with the cracked screen, I would highly recommend the television.

Fantastic Quality for the Price

This television has a crisp, rich picture, and much better sound quality than other mid-sized TVs I've seen. The Roku features are well integrated and icons for HDMI/USB devices appear right on the home screen -- unlike many TV models which require you to scroll through an input menu. The application menu is very quick and easy to navigate. A fair range of apps and streaming channels are available, and Roku makes them easy to find and add.
Remote (batteries included) -- size is comfortable. There is a 'home' button for quickly exiting an app and returning to the main menu; and there are quick access buttons for Netflix, Rdio, MGo, and Sling.

Kid-sized Remote-control is a bummer!

The remote for this television is small and difficult to use. Using the volume button is torture. You have to press hard, and then it still may not respond. Very disappointing and surprising considering the very high quality of the television.

I was a bit skeptical when I purchased this tv and some of the reviews weren't helping my decision. I've never had a Smart TV and in all honesty, did not know what one was. After I plugged this tv in I was PLEASANTLY surprised! This TV is awesome! I am from the old school of technology whereas I was ready to hook up the Wii, the internet, my cable, etc. but with this tv, NONE of those wires are required.

Absolutely love this tv. Quickest setup ever and you can customize it to your liking (i.e. Screensaver, apps and theme). Tons of video settings. Logs you in and keeps you logged in to your Netflix, Hulu, etc. Video quality is great! Sound is also good. I would definitely recommend it. My only dislike in the actual stand (legs) but it can be mounted so that's not really a con. Overall great, priced great and fits my needs perfectly.

Better than expected

Love my Roku, and even better built in value as I didn't have to buy another one and no wires or or external stick to deal with. My only disappointment was no composite video input, but the web description was very good and I knew that going into the purchase. The sound quality was much better than I had anticipated for built in speakers. Works very well without having to add a soundbar.

Roku Did not work - returned two days later

We purchased this TV on a Friday and ended up returning it on a Sunday.A ton of time attempting to trouble shoot connecting to our Wifi but no networks would come up regardless of how much the router would be tweaked. Eventually I contacted insignia customer service on a Saturday (customer service is not 24 hours, so they were not available on the friday) and they were unable to resolve the issue and ended up determining it was a defect with the TV as no networks would show (not even any neighbors) and told us to return it to the store. We informed the best buy customer service the tv did not connect at all and we wanted to return it. BB customer service wasn't any better, they spent 15 minutes opening and doing an inspection of the TV. I understand they need to ensure it is not physically damaged, but they went beyond that before giving us our money back, also confirming that the tv would not connect to any of their networks. It was clear within the first minute of taking it out of the box that the TV was not physically damaged, so why waste more of our time (I wasted a weekend trying to get a defective product to work and they waste more in store so naturally I was not happy). So the entire experience, from the defective TV, insignia customer service to BB customer service the experience was horrible. I will never purchase another Roku TV.

I replaced my bedroom tv with this one because i heard so many good reviews about the brand and and that it was a smart tv as well just made me had to jump on this deal. The transition between cable and Netflix is just so smooth. Set up was easy. Picture is good (i have a 4k so im spoiled), sound is good. Highly recommend this tv.
