We bought the TV on the day before the Super Bowl and astonished everyone who came. We got the soundbar and DVD player free when we bought the TV on sale.
The screen is a bit shiny and picks up the light through windows behind the viewer. Otherwise, awesome.

2 weeks ago I bought this 55 inch Insignia LED TV. I was very excited, I finally found the TV I was looking for. I had been searching for 5 months, so I know the TV's in and out; The prices at all the stores and the differences. I knew for certain that this was the TV I wanted. One major selling point was the Insignia 2 year warranty. After getting it home and turning it on, I found that it had 3 small dots on the screen. 2 Blue dots, and 1 green dot. The very next day I called Insignia and told them about the situation. They recommended taking the TV back to Best Buy and exchanging it. The closest TV to the one I bought was 400.00 extra dollars, I wasn't going to pay that. I bought a TV with a warranty, and I like the TV other than the 3 dots. I was then directed to someone who would help me schedule a time to fix the situation. They told me they would be there on wednesday evening, I asked off from work so that I could be home. Nobody came. There has been several things that has happened, with the Insignia service finally telling me, "WE CANNOT FIX YOUR TV." So, I am here to warn you.....DO NOT BUY AN INSIGNIA TV! THE WARRANTY IS NOTHING BUT A SCAM!!!! DO NOT BUY IT, YOU WILL REGRET IT ONCE IT NEEDS TO BE FIXED! When I bought this TV, I bought a service, and would expect Insignia to fix whatever is wrong within that 2 year time. I WILL NOT BE BUYING FROM BEST BUY! THIS IS WRONG! NOT PROFESSIONAL AT ALL!!!!

Disappointed

There is no indicator light that the TV is on. Since it is not instant-on, if the remote does not connect the first time, which happens frequently, you are left waiting to see if it is actually going to come on or not. When you finally hit it again, it usually comes on, but of course now you have turned off the receiver box, so it has to be turned back on. A hassle I don't need.
Sound quality is poor. I am not an expert, and my hearing is not as good as it once was, but even with the volume up louder than I like it, there is no question I miss a lot more dialogue than I did with my old TV. Adding auxiliary speakers helps, but of course, they can't be controlled by the remote.
Not enough input connections. One each for cables and coax, I can't connect all my components without upgrading at least one to HDMI.

horrible colors on PS3

ok for tv but for some reason it makes the dark scenes darker and the light scenes lighter, seems like it should be doing the opposite. Horrible for anything to do with PS3. the colors are very green tinted. have played with the color and other settings for hours with no luck. i would say this tv is really only good for people wanting to watch HD talk shows, i think it will handle those ok. I will be returning it after i speak with the tech department to make sure something isn't wrong with the unit.

The quality of picture was not so great because there was no HDMI cord. Had to purchase the HDMI cord at $180 in order to get the quality picture that we were expecting.

dead pixel, not enough to warranty

Bought a new LED 55" tv, has a dead pixel. So I talk to customer service and they tell me no problem, it has a 2 year warranty bring it in and we'll give you a new one. I get to the store and and they tell me it needs to have a few more pixels out to be bad enough to warranty so tough luck. I can pay more to get a new one if I want, but I will never buy another thing from Best Buy again, Thanks for the great service.

This is the 5th big screen TV I have bought. All from Best Buy. All are LEDs. Two are Sonys, 2 are Samsungs. All those have substantially better pictures than this Insignia. I wish I could return it. I would never recommend this brand, or buy another. It calls Best Buy's previously stellar reputation, at least with me, into question. Very disappointing.

This TV was decent for about 2 weeks until 2 enormous clusters of dead pixels emerged. The presets are ugly, the audio quality is extremely poor, the input options are lacking, and the build quality is questionable. This is my 2nd Insignia TV to die.. Returned the TV and got a 60" Sharp. LOVE it! Don't buy Insignia.

unit is defective....32 days after purchase, returning tomorrow,we will see what type of customer service is offered by Best Buy. I went in the store today and spoke with a manager, I'm not very positive. I spent $1,000 on a tv, I expect it to perform and not be without a unit for 2 weeks.

The price was the only attractive thing about TV

The image of the TV is totally different from what it looks in person. It is suppose to be an LED TV (thin), but where the speakers are it is as big as a plasma TV. Price was great but i would i never bought and paid the price for LED TV when it looks like a plasma on the wall. If it was not big and heavy i would i definitely returned it.
