I got this tablet for $1 when upgrading my cell phone. So far so good. It's a little heavy but the screen is a nice size and the images are clear. It's a little slow starting up when you turn it on but is pretty user friendly and easy to figure out.

So far, I've had to return one of these for not turning on anymore after two days of use. Thankfully, it was still under warranty. The next one suffers from slowness, glitches where it sometimes freezes up or loses all data service suddenly and must be reset. It's an awful product. If we didn't get it for our kid as a bonus item to keep him quiet during long trips, we would be far more upset about it. I wouldn't pay more than the $1 I had to pay for it. It's also a very heavy tablet, far heavier than you would expect for its size. Oh, and the 8" size is too big or too small for most (or all?) covers. Good luck finding one that actually fits. Even the insignia-brand cover for 8" tablets doesn't fit it well, stretching out the rubber holding the tablet to the point of near-breaking.

I wanted something that was a little bit more than a smart phone, but a lot lighter and a lot less tedious than my Dell Venue Pro to carry around, and I found it. It needed to be Verizon compatible and not cost an arm and a leg. The Insignia has met all expectations. I carry it around a lot more than I did the Dell. It is a lot easier to use and does the little things I need to do while on the go. So far, no complaints.

Tablet did what I needed for interviews

I got the tablet to be able to show multiple albums of design work while on interviews. I wasn't able to organize the photo albums the way I wanted to without downloading a free app - which I found out about by googling for an answer - but after that, it worked great. It is very helpful to have in the toolbox for this purpose. I am still learning how to use all of its other features. Very happy with it.

The Insignia tablet was given to me for free through a Verizon contract resigning deal, so I had no expectations about this tablet. However, when I opened it up and put it to use, it does all of the things that you would want it to (apps, games, business applications, etc). It is a decent tablet, but the problem I would have is the weight. Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 is great that is is sleek in design and light to carry; however, the Insignia tablet is a little clunky by its design and heavier for your standard tablet. Though tablets generally weigh next to nothing, I know myself well enough that the extra weight might cause me to over handle the product and be more likely to drop it or break. But so far so good.

To be honest, I only got it because when we upgraded out phones the sales guy said "and do you want an 8 inch tablet for $1?". Well, duh, who wouldn't? But it's really good, fast, stable and the wifi and 4G work better than my phones connections. If it were a little bigger and had more storage I'd probably stop using my laptop.

I tried using the camera feature, but it is much slower under low light than my old iphone 4. It used to load my e-mail messages up very fast but now it does not (will have to find out why). I got it for $1 (because I got an i6), plus a low Verizon monthly fee to see if it is really something I want. I plan to use it abroad when traveling so it is too early to tell at this point. In principle it looks OK. The price, well cannot beat that. But I will pay more attention at the weight factor next time I get a tablet. I guess it is a good "starter tablet".

This tablet is the newest version of my old Verizon Ellipse tablet and because of that it was extremely easy to use. I love the size & the features are wonderful. It's a mini laptop that is so convenient to use.

This tablet was only $1 with our cellphone purchases. It seems to work well and we're getting used to the way it works. We really like the tablet and are grateful it was on sale at the time we got our new phones.

An okay tablet considering it was free when I purchased a new phone. Far from the quickest on the market but will get the job done.

This tablet is just OK. It has a lot of glitches. Its not the greatest processor and it's slow on downloads. It would be fine for my son, who I gave it to but if I had paid for it it would have been returned.

The Insignia tablet is a good basic tablet, especially for $1. The size is a little different from most other tablets, important when you are getting a cover.

The insignia tablet was initially hard to start up, but seems to be better now. Screen size is good. Sometimes touch function on small target is not accurate. Seems like a good entry level type of product- can't beat the price point.

I bought this item for my mom and it works perfectly. She uses it to read and check things on the Internet. This is the first time she ever had a tablet and was very excited to get it. She takes it with her everywhere and reads while she is waiting in the doctor's office. This is a great gift to give someone who will use it for basic things. I would definitely recommend this item.

Tablet is easy to use, works best with kids or adults with small hands. could be clumsey otherwise. it boots up fast, the only problem is you can't increase the memory. If you want to have a lot of games, email, music or movies, this is not the tablet you want. I like it because i just use it for a few games.

I got this for my son. It's not really fit to be of much use but a toy. I bought it with the Data to use for on the go. The sim is jammed in it. The processing speed is slow and it wasn't really worth buying. I'm spending extra money for something I'm not using and to take it off is even more expensive. I want to return it.

This tablet is on par with other Android tablets. It comes with 8GB of storage but it can be expanded with a micro SD card. WiFi connectivity is good, but having the Verizon 4G built in makes it really useful. It only has 1 camera, so it is good for Skype and similar services. The lack of the second camera (like iPad) isn't really that important unless you intend to do a lot of videos or shots with it. Great display. The tablet doesn't really fit in the 'universal' 8" cases. If you want a case your best bet is to get one designed to fit the Insignia.

I don't like it because it's slow and the battery does not last long at all. Also it cracked and shattered the first 2 weeks, it's made cheaply
