Purchased for an 8 yr old boy. Replacing a Kindle Fire. Perfect size for a child - I suppose even an adult would find it manageable. Great processing speed for random video watching and light web browsing. Decent sound quality. Modern design. Is doing just what we need it to.

Great for kids....easy to use. Clear screen. A little flimsy.

Needed an expensive tablet to mate with a piece of exercise equipment. didn't want to spend a lot and the insignia fit the bill. So far it has worked very well. It's a bit slow at times, but handles the program applications well once connected. I cannot review any other features of the unit as I haven't used it for anything else.

I bought this product for my mother who has minimal technology expertise. It was easy to get her set up and to transfer her apps from her old tablet to the new one. She uses it daily to check family via facebook as well as to play games and check email. Very happy.

My rating reflects the price of the tablet ($40 on BB special), and my expectations. If you are looking for lightning speed, super display, and all the bells and whistles, then definitely choose a different tablet and prepare to pay 5x-10x more. If you are worried by lack of mobile network capability in this tablet, just turn your cellphone into a hotspot (also known as tethering) and connect this tablet to it - you got yourself a connection. My only surprise is the really slow web browsing speed, and somewhat slow touch response when using basic apps like email, etc. Otherwise, I'd give it 5 stars. For $40 I got: - GPS receiver with directions when using Navigator offline maps app. - email when on wifi. - offline movie, music, audiobook player - ebook reader (with FB Reader, Nook apps) - streaming video (netflix, xfinity, youtube, etc.) player when on wifi. - FM radio offline (yes, the real FM one, not streaming through internet) - boredom aid with offline game apps like mahjong or sudoku. I do not expect this tablet to shine with 3d games, etc.

As always with any Android Tablet I've tried it did not live up to my needs. Battery life was about 4 hrs and the camera was poor. On a good side it was fast in most cases. Gaming was slow and the music was tinny as you might expect, but it was on the order of a cheeper one I had so it was no good for me. Others my find it useful.

Good tablet. Wish the battery would last longer but for the price I am pleased with my purchase. Plenty of memory when using the SD slot. Would recommend to anyone needing a inexpensive tablet.

Purchased this for my 11 year old grand daughter for Christmas. She loves it and so far it has performed as well as the larger and much more expensive tablets. Great picture and color. Easy to use. Fits securely and well into a generic case.

It's an Android tablet, so you won't go wrong software wise. We bought this for our 2 year old to use and we purchased the device insurance they Best Buy offers. Physically, it's a little flimsy, but so far it has held up well.

Hello best buy I got my tablet today I turn it on to set it up my email all of that there one thing about it it didn't come whit no sim card reader it should come whit it and it pretty slow ever time I type on the tablet the letter get stuck I guess that what you get for cheap thanks you

For entertainment like Netflix or YouTube and basic gaming this tablet works great. It isn't a powerhouse tablet, but it gets the job done for general stuff. It can be laggy at times, though for the most part it runs smooth.

This works well to free up my phone for playing videos/music and streaming them to the TV via Chromecast. Also other tasks such as a quick reach into my email or calendar makes this a helpful device. Speed isn't all that great when browsing and using apps but all in all it works well.

I actually got this to be an ebook reader as I have ebooks from both B&N and Amazon, so i needed a single device and this was far cheaper than buying a nook and a kindle. I don't really do much else with it, but its perfect to carry to the gym and read books and listen to music.

This Insignia tablet is the perfect size not too big and not too small. Ive had this brand in the past for my 10 yr. old who loves it! I will purchase Insignia in the future, never had any problems. The price is also great!

This isn't a top of the line tablet, though it wasn't designed that way; you're getting what you pay for at the lower price point. That said, it's useful for running standalone apps, playing short videos, checking social media, etc, as long as you're not attempting to do more than a few things at a time. I wouldn't use this for gaming, or streaming movies, or anything data-intensive.

We needed an Android or iOS device to set up a Google WiFi network because it uses an app interface. The Insignia tablet was an inexpensive, easy solution to accomplish this. I think we will be using it for other applications in the future, but it works well for this so far.

This is a great no-frills beginner tablet. It offers enough memory for gaming but could get filled up quickly if movies are wanting to be downloaded. If you're just streaming movies then it's great for that too!
