Sometimes you just need a very short cord and this fills that need. As are all Apple accessories, it is pricey for what you get, but at least it's well made and since it will get limited use it should last a long time.

i like this short charger it doesn’t tangled and i can hold my cellphone and the charger at the same time without tangling. easy to carry both with your hand.

I need to carry a backup charger for my iPhone 6, if I'm going to be out and about for a good part of the day. I bought this cord because of its size - much easier to transport in your pocket.

This product has a shorter length which is great for a portable charger when traveling. The smaller length takes up less room in your luggage yet allows you to charge your device even while in the airport.

This cord is short which makes it less expensive. Many of the cords I've bought stop working after a short period but I have had this one for about 8 months and it's still going strong!

I use this with an external battery for my phone and iPad and it works great. Haven't had any problems with it not being supported. If you don't need a long cord it's worth it.

I wanted a small lightning cable to use for portable charging. This was the right price and the right size.

In the case of Lightning cables, the theory of "you get what you pay for" holds true. Prior low cost cables that were purchased for vehicular use didn't hold up. Looking through the store, I had the following criteria in place for selecting an appropriate cable: 1.) Short length: The shelf in the car where the phone will temporarily be held is directly below the USB port. Using too long of a cable would result in slack that was not required. 2.) Sturdy build: The knock-off white cables tend to fail too early. Either braided/reinforced cabling or more robust connections between the ports and the cable were a must-have. This Insignia cable was the perfect length for what I needed. Upon plugging the cable into the USB port and my phone, the Apple CarPlay functionality of my stock headunit worked consistently and as expected. It has held up well since the time of purchase. Reasonably priced for a well built cable.
