This Is an excellent blue tooth device. It does what it is suppose to do. The driver may have to be downloaded to your computer but once the device is installed you will have access to all of your blue tooth devices. Works with all of my Bluetooth devices with no problems.

This great little USB Blue Tooth connector is low-profile and inconspicuous; it installs quickly and easily and has performed without any problems.

It don't work. Have tried a lap top and a desk top, does not work. Not worth it. Instructions don't help. Spent more gas money purchasing and returning the cheap item. Suggesting name brand.

My experience with this Bluetooth USB dongle is mostly positive. I have used it on three laptops as bluetooth has become almost a necessity in my daily life with all these gadgets becoming dependent on bluetooth technology; headphones, mice, keyboard, etc. It works great when its plugged in and has all its necessary drivers and software configured for use. My only critique for this usb device is that the drivers provided by Insignia--which is supplied by Broadcom--is a bit finnicky on windows 8.1 and 7. When I say finnicky, I mean it experiences some occasional drops and finds trouble connecting to previously paired bluetooth devices. MY FIX for these issues were to use the drivers that Microsoft automatically finds and installs via Windows Update. However if your computer is not as lucky to find those drivers by itself, I searched for generic bluetooth drivers from the manufacturer of the computer you are using; HP, Dell, Lenovo, etc. EVERY laptop manufacturer has made a laptop sometime in the past with bluetooth capabilities so amongst all the drivers they all provide on their website, there are bound to be bluetooth drivers and software ready for download. As far as look, the usb dongle is very small and hardly even noticeable when plugged in which is a Very nice feature and design of the device. It does have a pretty noticeable blue light that blinks when activity is flowing through it such as music and sounds it needs to cast to your headphones or speakers. Overall, a good buy and Awesome alternative to adding bluetooth capability to your computer.

Over all I'm satisfied with the performance of this device. However, the instructions were erroneous. I'm not very knowledgable about these things so i had my son install it and he could not get it to work. I called customer service and the man i spoke with told me to use a different route than what the instructions said. It took so long to download the software that the man asked if he could hang up so he could work with a different consumer. He said to follow the instructions after everything was downloaded. After about a half hour it was finally done downloading and it still wouldn't work. Didn't have time to mess with it for another week and when i called the support line i got somebody to help me that knew what he was doing. We had to disable the security software in order to download the bluetooth software and it was done in about two minutes. Then he led me through step by step and got it hooked up. He even took the time to tell me how to hook up my bluetooth headset. real nice guy. He wanted a happy customer and i'd say he got one. It works well once i got it installed and the bluetooth headset works well too. Worth the money but they need to make instructions that work if they want people to keep buying their products. If the instructions don't work don't be afraid to call customer service and hope you get someone that knows what they are doing.Would i recommend this to a friend? I'm clicking yes because they don't have a maybe button.

This adapter was easy to install. Just plug it in to your USB port and your computer automatically does the rest; no disc, no nothing. It is compatible with my Apple compact products, Bose headphones, Microsoft Surface, etc. There are zero connection issues. As soon as your device is in range, it will automatically connect without hesitation. Well worth the money.

Bought this item because I wanted to hookup a Bluetooth sound system to my home computer. Set up was easy an it took me less than 15 minutes to do it all without wires. This item was well priced and saved me a heck of a lot of trouble running wires. If you have a PC or laptop that you want to hookup Bluetooth sound, this is the item that you need.

I bought (2) of these in order to add bluetooth capabilites to my (2) desktop computers so I can stream music from the PC to my wireless bluetooth speakers and my beats headphones. They do the job, easy installation, windows loaded the drivers with no issues and they have worked fine since purchasing. Great value for the price paid!

Initially, I thought it would be plug and play. It required some software, downloadable from the manufacture. Once installed works just fine, I stream audio to my onyx 2 and share files from desktop pc to tablet, phone and laptop. I will say I have experienced the blue screen of death from my pc a few times during and immediately after use, but after looking online for solutions it seems to be a windows 10 issue.

For the price, this is a pretty good item. It was much cheaper than other brands, and seems to work fine. The only concern I have is that once it has just suddenly quit working. A quick reboot of the computer seemed to take care of the issue. We are using this to connect an Apple wireless keyboard to a Windows PC. Except for the one hiccup, it has been working well.

Bought the Insignia Bluetooth 4.0 USB Adapter to give Bluetooth functionality to a Dell computer I'd bought used because I needed Internet Explorer to get into my work account from home. I had only Apple products at home. The Insignia Bluetooth 4.0 USB Adapter was my only choice at my local Best Buy, but it was priced reasonably. Never heard much good about Insignia products. To my surprise, it installed and worked flawlessly. While I do my office work from home, I can also listen to music via Bluetooth because of this little Insignia device.

Bought off the shelf. Downloaded drivers and worked as expected. Use it to transfer files with as IPOD. Tried out with blue tooth microphone - also worked. Four stars because other blue tooth devices appear to have more extensive software utilities bundled.

This item was very quick to setup on my desktop system running windows 10. i am not sure if it was the device though, or my computer, but when i plugged it in, the system did not try to install the drivers for it. all i had to do was go into the device manager, right click it and then click update driver. Windows found the driver automatically and installed it for me. i set this up to run with my Samsung Level U headset so that i could have wireless headphones and it works great. have had no issues so far.

I decided to buy a Bluetooth mouse, but I mistakenly thought that it came with the BT adaptor. It did not. So, if I wanted to keep the mouse (which I did) I needed to get a BT adaptor. So after going to a few places I finally found it in Best Buy. It works exactly as intended and does exactly what I needed it to do. I have paired my mouse and even my BT Headset to my computer. According to the instructions, I can pair another 4 (I believe) things to my computer with this BT adaptor.

The Insignia Bluetooth Adapter is an exceptional and easy to use product when attempting to add bluetooth devices to your home computer or pc. The speakers on my Toshiba are not the best and I love playing music from my itunes on my lab top when doing homework. I am able to connect my bluetooth speakers to my laptop now that I have this adapter. The price for this device was also much lower than I thought it would be. Overall great product and affordable price.

Recently bought a new desktop with no Bluetooth connectivity, got this adapter and wham. Works perfectly with headsets, my phone, and game controllers. Love it.
