I received a new laptop and wanted to connect to dual monitors. It required this new video port connector but my monitor didn't have. This adapter did the trick.

After purchasing this with a monitor and driving 50 mins home, I had to deal with this not working. I spent over 2 hours troubling shooting the adapter not knowing if my problem was the adapter or the monitor port it was connected to. Ended up bringing it back and made sales team test the adapter. Sure enough, the adapter was bad. They asked me if I wanted a different one, I laughed and said nope! Went to RadioShack and pick up a different adapter. Problem solved!
