Using it on my monitor that had a difficult connection.

3 stars bcuz nothing was wrong with the product but it didn’t work for what I needed. Sales guy said it was what I need but it wasn’t. 14 day return policy is not a great policy. I have receipt but it’s hard to get to town in that timeframe.

Affordable. Compact and very durable product to use.

This is a very handy add on just did not work for me.

Needed this for a customer to use a 2nd screen as no one around sold display port to vga/dvi and could not wait for shipping one. Anyway, it works but is a little slow and buggy. Pc is 6core 8gb ram, ssd, so its powefull enough.

Doesn't fit a standard large plug for VGA display. Probably works well if you have the newest tech usb's.

My computer did not have usb 3 connectors, seemed to work okay on usb2 but was a little lacking in graphics. Some pixels.

I've tried this product with users in my facility. I couldn't get it display from a laptop to a projector. I'm trying to locate a driver to see if it works.

I thought the piece was quite expensive and the device needs to have a longer cord

I bought this to connect my laptop and monitor. I found it to be a pain to have to connect back and forth to the tower though.

Not a huge Bear Buy shopper and my latest experience solidified why. I found myself amongst others scrambling to get some work from home adapters for a remote office setup. I was given a sales associate who sadly was young and nervous. He was able to answer my questions but gave me bad advice. So I went ahead and purchased the two adapters he advised were correct (took pics of computer and all inputs and brought with me). After a couple weeks of trying to get one of the adapters to work, I brought it back to Best Buy. Apparently I was a day or two outside the return policy window... DURING A PANDEMIC. So now I am stuck with a useless broken adapter some sales associate Recommended only to not be able to return it due to technicality in the return policy when most Americans are too scared to even go to the store. Just a very eye opening experience and hope others avoid Best Buy moving forward like me.

I need this adapter to get dual monitors. It does the job well but is grossly overpriced!

I just purchased this product, followed instructions for my Macbook Air, and... it unfortunately didn't detect the display. After speaking with a representative from Insignia support, I found out that the current driver is not compatible with macOS 10.15 and that there's no definite timeline when a fix will be pushed out. As many are switching to WFH during this time, I urgently needed a display adapter from USB to VGA/DVI/HDMI. It's unfortunate that this product doesn't support the latest version of macOS. I asked if he knew of any products that would be supported on macOS 10.15, and the rep referred me to j5create's USB3.0->HDMI adapter which is $60. I already thought $40 was too much for an adapter, and would feel really unhappy about spending an additional $20 for a substitute just because of lack of driver support.

Just what I needed, but thought the price was much too expensive.
