Too much work because this adapter is not plug & play.

USB to VGA adapter for a lap with lite use should. Your geek squad admits this adapter is a of poor reliability and quality and should be expected to reamin workable much longer than 2 months.

Could not get it to work on the iMac, or find any Driver that it would get it to work. Even attempting to get it to work with one of two different Acer Monitors.

Skip it. I purchased this in the fall of 2020 and now need a new one in February of 2022. Not worth it.

I ordered this March 26th and got it April 17th when it was promised a 2 day delivery Not happy shipping got delayed and I had to have it sooner!

The driver is to old, and doesn't work with MacOs Mojave

Did not work well at all screen was blurry and could not make adjustments to clear it up

Had to return, wouldn't work with my laptop. Can't review it properly

This adaptor was not adequate to convert an LCD projector input site for my Dell.

I returned it no what I needed Apple product required

Wasn't compatible for my computer, so I ended up returning it.

This device costs roughly $40 and not worth the price

if you use this on a mac, it will work for extended displays provided you're not using the most recent version of macos high sierra. i just recently updated my computer to high sierra, and this WILL NOT WORK AT ALL if you're on 10.13.4 or later (as of this writing, 10.13.6 is the most recent release). i successfully wiped my hard drive and went back to sierra (10.12.6) and everything seems to be working again. again, if you intend to use this with macos high sierra (10.13.4 and later) it absolutely WILL NOT WORK. you must be on an older version than 10.13.4. it may or may not work with 10.13.3 (i was not able to test it), but can confirm it does work with 10.12.6 (which is the latest release of sierra). 5 stars if you're using this on sierra or earlier, but i have to dock it at least one star since it won't work on the latest version of macos. i've notified insignia to see if they can come up with a fix for the drivers, but this seems to be a pretty universal thing with usb displays in high sierra judging from a quick google search...

I bought this yesterday, because I ordered a different brand and, the hoops and downloads for the other brand were ridiculous. The thing would not work on new or older monitors. After 45 minutes of frustration, I packed up the other to ship back. Drove to my local Bestbuy looking for one from HP. They only had Insignia and I was doubtful. Less than 5 minutes with this adapter and done! It is great. Fast connections and downloads. Screens look great. I am a happy czmper.

I wish I could give this product 5 stars cause that is what it was till I updated to Catalina. Now I have been running around for months saving up for another hard drive to run time machine, as well as download all my files and possibly revert to Mojave. If you have Mojave it's a 5 star product. I was able to have 3 external monitors from my iMac via 2 USB C ports and the one USB 3.0 port.

Item description is inaccurate as of today. Description states product works on MacOS 10.6 and later however, per Insignia customer service, product will not work on newest Mac OS Catalina. Product looked good, just didn't work on my OS so back to the store it goes.

This product did not work with my device but more importantly the driver software included, the Insignia USB Display adapter software, led to some problems with my PC. My task manager crashed immediately on launch and Spotify opened but did not display. After uninstalling the software the issue ceased and this has happened several times.

Worked fine on OS El Capitan. No longer works after update to High Sierra on Mac. Can't get it to recognize adapter despite multiple solutions/suggestions posted on the internet. Adapter is dead at this point.

Doesn't work on High Sierra and Insignia's representative doesn't know anything.
