Got it for deal of the day, I’m kind of confused how it works on auto mode, because I’ve only heard it turn the fan on and actually filter the air once the whole time, I know the air quality is not that clean so it should be running more. And I don’t want to just run it in manual mode 24/7. Little skeptical of it, but it looks nice.

I've been very pleased with the Instant air purifier. It's small yeah it packs a punch when it comes to clearing out odors from a small apartment. I found this out for certain after accidentally melting some plastic on the stove. If you have ever done that you know the terrible odor. I turned up the setting too high on the AP100 and left the apartment for 1/2 hour. When I returned whatever smoke there was, was gone and I barely noticed any odor from the melted plastic. That says a lot in my book, if it worked on a smell like that, it will work on most anything. From an aesthetics perspective it is a very attractive product. It blends in well with surroundings and is quiet while running. However, I will say when put on its highest setting it does generate a fair amount of white noise. I specifically say this because it's a benefit to me. I enjoy that sound to block out ambient noises, particularly at night when I'm falling asleep or when I’m working from home. I like the auto shut-off of the lighting when the room goes dark. Or leaving the light on as a night light is pretty cool too. I also really liked the clean smell that that plasma ion generator creates. It’s the same type of “smell” you get after a lightning storm outdoors. Lastly, I funny thing… The LED light is a nice white color when turned on, and you can adjust the intensity level. There is also a yellow hue, and a red one. These colors come on when the unit senses air quality is decreased. Well, I don’t know how I did it, but one time when I turned it on I was able to choose what the ON color was. I ended up leaving it on red, because it the dark it doesn’t dilate your eyes yet provides enough light so that you can walk around without stubbing your toe. But unfortunately, I shut that off, and now I can figure out how to do it again. I don’t know if this was a hidden feature I uncovered, or just a fluke. It would be nice if the manufacturer would allow the user to pick the light color. Overall, I'm very pleased with this unit, it offers everything that I need for a very low price. It appears to be well built, using quality parts period time will tell but I think it will hold up. The filters aren't too expensive, so the cost of ownership should be low too. It's a deserves five stars!

I LOVED this thing. I am a massage therapist, and concerned about catching colds, flu and Covid and using this 5 days a week at work I managed to escape Covid for 11 months! And when I got it - it wasn't from my work environment. Sadly, today at 1 year and 4 days old it simply stopped working. So, I am here looking into warrantee info and hoping to get a replacement. If it still worked - I'd have given it 5 stars!

The people who made a name for themselves selling Instant Pots now are in the business of getting rid of all the cooking smells eminating from those pots.... with a new line of Instant Air Purifiers. Despite the name, they cannot clean the air instantly but this model, rated for very small rooms of about 130 square feet, does a pretty decent job in a few minutes without just the push of a single button. Like most air purifiers, this one is essentially a container fitted with an air filter and a fan. A small control panel on top, with touch controls, allows you to decide how you want to use it -- either in manual mode or automatic. Most will opt for the AUTO mode since that takes all the guesswork out of what to do. And getting there could not be easier. Just touch the power button and the air purifier automatically starts up in AUTO mode. As with most devices of this type, it sniffs the air first to determine the proper fan speed based on air quality (low, medium or high). It then downshifts, if necessary, to a lower speed once the air quality improves. In low and medium speeds, the Instant Air Purifier is very quiet. Nearly silent, in fact, at the low speed setting. But cranking the fan up to high makes it quite noisy and unsuitable for any room where you are sleeping, talking with other people or watching TV. Fortunately, it should not need to operate at high speeds very often unless someone starts a fire in the kitchen or something similar Instant claims the air purifier not only eliminates odors but kills viruses and uses a medical grade HEPA-13 filter to get rid of dust, dander and other fine particulates. The Instant Air Purifier is designed to be on all the time but may not actaully be running if air quality is good. In ECO mode, it samples the air every 10 minute and then shuts off if finds no problems with air quality. A little leaf symbol lights up on the control panel to indicate the machine is running in ECO mode, which happens automatically if you start in AUTO. I got the Instant Air Purifier for a small laundry room, which also happens to be where my cat boxes are located. My cats are not always the best about covering up their business so the room can get quite smelly, not good since it is just off the kitchen. I am happy to report this nifty little device usually took care of that problem, although I had to switch to manual and select a higher fan speeds when the cats left particularly smelly deposits. AUTO mode was not always very good at picking up on these smells and upshifting to higher fan speeds. This particular model is the smallest one Instant makes....about the size of a two gallon bucket. The bottom half of the plastic shell is covered with a pattern of holes that allow air to get pulled through to the filter. Clean air is expelled out the top, which is ringed by an always on light. The color of the light changes depending on air quality, with red being bad and transitioning to white for good. There is a button on top that allows you to set three different brightness levels or turn the light off entirely if you wish. Setup is easy, but also easy to screw up if you dont read the instructions. For some reason, Instant has opted to ship the device with the filter installed but wrapped in a plastic bag. You must pull the device apart (the bottom unscrews), remove the filter, remove the plastic bag, then reinsert the filter and screw the bottom back on. The device cannot function unless you do this first. This is clearly explained in the instructions and on a label covering the control panel. But some people are notorious for NOT reading instructions. Kudos, by the way, to Instant for an including a printed instruction manual that is big enough to read (despite the fact the text is gray instead of black, which would be much more legible). No app, registration or password required, thank goodness. Filters are supposed to be replaced every six to eight months, per the instructions. A light on top also reminds you when it is time to change the filter. Cost is unknown at this point since they are not yet available but these things tend to be pretty pricey. The only thing that might cause some people pause is that the Instant Air Purifier uses "plasma-ion technology" to help rid the air of viruses. This process generates ozone, which at high enough levels can cause repiratory problems in some people. But the company suggests that's not a concern because the device "complies with the maximum allowable concentration " of .05 parts ozone per million. Overall, this is an attractive, well-designed little air purifier that seems to get the job done with very little effort on the part of the consumer. What more could you ask?

The instant® Air Purifier AP100 is a small (can fit on a desk size) HEPA-13 air filter that is great for small rooms. It is quiet! It does not intrude on phone or video conferencing calls. It automatically goes into night mode to ensure ultra-quiet and low-light pollution operation. It also has an eco-mode for energy conservation. I took out the filter and then replaced it to see how easy it would be to change. The result – a minute’s time and supper easy! It uses activated charcoal filtration to eliminate odors and plasma ion technology to remove viruses (like COVID-19). It is attractive while being unobtrusive.

This air purifier is small and lightweight and can be moved easily from room to room. I have been using it in my office but tested it in several rooms in the house. It is rated for 136 sq. ft of space and does an excellent job in the smaller spaces I used it. The unit came well packaged and was easy to set up. The filter is located inside the unit and is accessed through the bottom of the purifier. Be sure to take note in the manual that you need to remove the plastic wrap on the filter before using it. There are a number of buttons on the top of the unit to turn the unit on, set fan speed, control the lights on the unit, a filter placement notification, a button to turn on/off the ionizer feature and auto button that allows you to set it and the purifier will determine the quality of air in your room and adjust accordingly. It has stayed at the lowest fan speed in my room in the auto setting. There are 3 fan speeds, the first 2 of which are virtually silent with the highest speed being pretty loud. I find this to be the case with all air purifiers. There are 4 settings for the lights from low to high and a night mode that turns the lights off completely. The purifier has been doing a great job for me and is the perfect size. The unit seems to be well built and is actually pretty good looking. There are no apps to see the status of your air quality which I don’t find to be an issue. One feature that I wish it had was a timer. I have a couple other purifiers that have a 2, 4 & 8 hour timer options and it’s nice to be able to set it for a time to shut off so I don’t have to remember to shut the unit off. Other than that, I think for the price it is a great air purifier that does exactly what it supposed to do. Clean your air.

The Instant small room air purifier is an attractive, functional and effective if you are looking for something to cover a smaller area. Something like an office or bedroom, which is what we decided to use it for. It is simple, and lacks some of the frills that others may have, but in striping it down you get an extremely effective product for a very reasonable price. The device boasts a 8 months of life on the filter if used in eco mode. Obviously there is no way for me to tell if that is accurate only having it for a short time. There is a light that is supposed to pop on when the filter is done, which is a feature you expect to have. And speaking of the filter, it is very substantial. The machine is super quiet. I have three machines in my home, and by far this is the most quiet. That could be because it is only having to work in a small room and it does not need to have a more powerful motor. But regardless, it is not even noticeable, maybe a slight white noise to it. This is not a connected device, meaning it does not have an app nor can it connect to you wifi or be operated by your phone. It is a very simple device that just works. Times are uncertain right now, and there is really no end is sight for this COVID environment. I deal with people all day, and having something in my office is a good piece of mind for me if nothing else. If you need something for a small area that is reasonably priced and effective, this is a great option for you. I highly recommend it.

An excellent addition for your Home Office/Den. The AP100 was a welcomed addition to our Home Office, which has become a staple of new norms for the post pandemic world. After using the AP100 for a week, we have noticed a reduction in dust and the overall air quality of our office is noticeably improved. Normally, I would need to dust our office about every 3 days, with our animals being the main contribution to our dust build up, the addition of the AP100 has eased that need back to the weekly norm of most homes. Its footprint is small enough to fit on most executive size desks and its auto fan feature is a nice set and forget control. The highest fan setting can be slightly distracting during conference calls if you are not using noise cancelling headphones but livable with. Set up is easy and the instruction provided are straight and to the point. The built in light is a nice touch and can double as a night light should you use this little air purifier in a small bedroom or even as you are shutting down your office work for the evening. Overall, I couldn’t find anything negative about the AP100. Its sleek, priced right and does a good job.
