Recently purchased the IRobot Roomba 860. I was skeptical at first, not knowing if an automatic vacuum would be capable to producing results similar to my stand up Dyson. Though, after one round of self-vacuuming, i was pleasantly surprised. It leaves the carpet fluffy and virtually debris-free. Definitely recommend this style for anyone living in an apartment, or with a busy lifestyle. I just turn it on, and the Roomba does the rest!

We have had our Roomba for about 2 weeks now and love what it can do. We do have a shaggy living room rug and it gets brave and attempts to clean. However it has got stuck a few times. However it does excellent on the hardwood and bathroom floors. Easy to clean and maintenance, and the app makes it very easy to operate.

Worked great. I loved that I could set it to clean while I was gone and I would have clean floors when I returned.

Purchased for myself last Christmas and I am so happy that I finally did. I have 3 kids, 3 cats and 1 dog. Our home is 2500 sq feet with hardwood, linoleum, carpet and rugs. Our Roomba does a fantastic job of cleaning all floor surfaces. I run her twice everyday. Now I only have to run my regular vacuum once a week, if that. It is unbelievable how much the Roomba picks up. You still have to move things that you don't want it to pick up, just like regular self vacuuming. No problem. I am so happy to have the Roomba help me with my housework. I have recommended the 860 to everyone I know. The only regret I have is not buying it sooner.

I always had my doubts on this vacuum I thought that it would not be powerful enough but I was wrong. We vacuum with our Dyson once a week (no pets) and I thought it was doing a great job then I scheduled this twice a week and I cant believe what it picks up. Its not too noisy quieter than my Dyson. tI has gotten lost twice now and didn't find its way back home. Its hasn't scratched any of the furniture but one time it got stuck under the EZ chair but it sure makes it easier for me..one less choir to do..EZ to clean. I shouldve bought this sooner...PS,they say the 800 series is the best...

We have four dogs and one cat and the hair was making us want to pull out our hair. We have an Oreck vacuum and we use it a lot and it works great. But we would have to use it everyday to keep up with our zoo. I've been wanting a Roomba for a while now and when I got the email from Best Buy that they where on sale and in stock I ran out the door and purchased one. This machine puts our vaccuming to shame. Every time it comes to the charger it's full. EVERY TIME. I'm not sure if it had found a hidden dirty room or what but my wife and I are very impressed. Very happy. Very satisfied. And got a great deal from Best Buy.

Cleans very well, especially in places you would not clean regularly with a vacuum cleaner. Roams the space in a scatterbrain pattern reminiscent of a waterbug skittering on a pond. Bad news: Each time, the iRobot misses about 5% of the total space. Good news: The iRobot doesn't miss the same 5% each time, so what it might miss one time, it will get the next time. The iRobot will painstakingly clean in and around chair legs, but it will eat up a lot of battery doing this. Best to get chairs out of the way. The machine is most efficient at cleaning the perimeters of regular rooms with four walls. If you have irregular open spaces, the machine is not as efficient because it can't figure out where the perimeter is, but it still gets the job done, maybe on the second pass after a recharge. There is a spot cleaning mode if you just want the machine to clean an area rug. Runs about two hours on a charge, which will be enough for 3 average rooms. Extremely well engineered product.

Work well enough. Gets stuck from time to time and has to be emptied often.

Now I actually like vacuuming! It does a great job very easy to use. It's quiet not that you ever need to be home while it's cleaning. It gets everywhere and collects even my long hair! The removable bins and rollers make it hassle free.

I love my Roomba. We ran it twice everyday. It moves around easily from wooden floor to rug and carpet area. It doesn't do extensive cleaning at one run, so a daily schedule cleaning helps to keep dirt, hair and dust from accumulating. You do need to empty the waste bin and clean the filter so they don't plugged up. The Roomba althought moves effortlessly at most part, it does get caught up on loose hanging cables.

We generally use it to spot clean and it works great. We can get two rooms on a charge and it makes my wife's life much easier and efficient with an infant and a toddler running around. Has the upgraded roomba suction, but none of the other more complicated features. Just press the button and it goes. No worries.

We finally caved and splurged on this and we honestly couldn't be happier. We alternate running it between our different rooms with hard wood or tile floors (can I run it on carpet? I haven't looked into that yet) and it has been a huge help in the never ending dust/pet hair/dropped crumbs issue that we can't seem to overcome. The bin seems to fill up quick, but that could be my endlessly shedding dogs.. it's no big deal to empty it and keep going though. I'd much rather empty a bin a few times than have to manually vacuum under furniture and against base boards all the time. It says to change the filters occasionally, it came with two and we bought extras and just wash them in a bit of dish soap when they get too dirty to just shake off in the trash can. Having about 5 filters lets us just cycle them out so they have time to fully dry before needing to put them back in. I could definitely see us investing in another one if we ever make it into a bigger house so I can stop carrying this one back and forth between rooms.

I've been sleeping on a bunk bed mattress that my brother was pictured in back in 1961. There were dust bunnies under there who had been multiplying for about half a century. I visited a friend who had a Roomba roaming around while we talked. She loaned it to me for a week, and I was astounded at how well it got under those beds and other furniture. I had to have one. I opted for this model because it had a better battery, larger dirt collection bin and plastic belts instead of bristles brushes to scoop up the debris than the cheaper model. It eventually gets the whole room done, but it's maddening sometimes about how it will start heading for where you know there is a bunch of dust, but then it'll veer off in another direction. It'll hit that spot eventually, but not when you think it should. It's more fun to watch than prime time TV. I'm lazy and not much of a housekeeper, so this has made my floors cleaner and more pleasant to walk on barefooted than ever before.

I have used it everyday since receiving and I am amazed how well it performs. It has no problem picking up dog hair. The only complaint that I would have is the battery could hold a charge better. We have had to go on the hunt a few of times.

It is perfect for busy people who does not have that much time to vacuum. This little machine does a decent job cleaning living room with hard wood floor or carpet. You only have to empty it often since its container is small. It's perfect for dogs fur and keeps my house decent.

We have a lab that sheds bunches and I was astounded at the amount of hair this picks up off of the rug and the wood floors, and amazed how it transitions from one to the other so easily. I wish I could figure out how many square feet it will do on a full charge because it won't do the entire downstairs all at once so I'm still learning how to divide up the space. Also it seems to get a little confused around chair legs but does better if I space them apart enough for it to get through. All in all, I wish I'd bought a Roomba a year ago!

This thing is great, saves so much time by setting it up to run every day. We have a big house and should have two to do the job right but what a life saver this has been. We set it up to run every day at a certain time when we know the dogs are not around and there is NO CHANCE that anyone has had an accident after reading all of the reviews of others spreading the furry friends mess throughout their houses. I am picky but this does what it is designed to do. If you are expecting it to clean your house so that you don't have to do anything than you are setting yourself up for failure. If you are buying it to keep your walking area clean daily in between your weekend scrubbing of your home then this is the product for you.

I bought this model in hopes that it would not get clogged or have issues in our house since we have two cats and they have a lot of hair and litter. I was a little skeptical at first, but very happy with the product after a month. Initially it took a few days to get a lay of the rooms and figure out where to go. In terms of the cat hair and litter, I could not be happier. I have to empty it out daily, but the floors are always clean it feels like. This is definitely worth it if you have pets. The one downside is that it does get stuck sometimes under the TV stand or under the kitchen cabinets. We had to add a block of wood to prevent it from getting under the cabinets and the Tv stand. So other than that absolutely no issues.

We have 2yr old twins and they love to keep the floor messy with toys, food, anything. I'm in charge of keeping the floors clean because my wife has back problems, so before I had come home after an 8 hour work day to sweep the floors almost everyday. Now we just pick up the toys and let the robot clean the floors every other day and the floors are a lot cleaner for longer than regular sweeping. Per other reviews, yes it does miss spots, but overall the floor is cleaner now than it has ever been and I feel great knowing that the kids can be on a clean floor everyday without having to sweep daily!

Easy to set up and use. Does a good job. Noisy enough while working -so you know it's there-- then goes "home" to re-charge when done. The grandkids were afraid at first but now like to watch it work. We love Bob!
