    It allows you to attach multiple items where if you did not have one you could only use one USB port. I needed the HDMI for video presentations.

      This mini docking station was designed specifically for the Surface Pro 7. The Surface Pro 7 is a great device with the exception of it lacking ports to connect to external devices that is where this docking station comes in.

    I love this product! Great dock for my surface and small enough to take on the go! I able to connect my monitor with the HDMI cable as well as my new Iphone charger and multiple USBs through the port.

    Great for adding HDMI and usb dongles. Did exactly what we needed to, does need to be plugged into a power source for HDMI to not stutter

    Works great! I got my brother a surface for his company and when he is home he uses the dock to connect it to the keyboard, mouse, and monitor.

    Good little device. It has been getting kinda warm to the touch when using a usb device through it. Haven’t used the hdmi port on it yet. Haven’t noticed any issues with it getting pretty warm.

    This has done what I need it to do and worked well. It does get warm when running a dual monitor via HDMI, but doesn't affect its operational capability as far as I can tell.

    This is the best thing I’ve had to assist in using more than one USB at a time. It docks securely and keeps everything in place. This has definitely been a ‘best buy’ for me.

    Does everything I need it to do. Only down side is that if you use the Surface charger it will be heading down; because if you have it head up it will interfere with the hub. I have tried charging through the hub, but I personally just like charging through the standard charger. USB A ports are finicky and it feels like I’m going to break the port or the appliance being plugged in every time. But they do work at full 3.0 speed.
