Good Earbuds, Poor Customer Service

The only reason I rated them 2 stars was the non-existent customer service from the Jlab web site. Purchased these ear buds to replace my Bose Noise Canceling headphones. They worked fine, but when the AUX Adapter was broken by a passenger passing me in the seats, It made them inoperable. I tried to find a replacement on the Jlab Web site, could not find one. I sent an email to the Support Center, never heard back. Sent a second message a few days later, never heard back. Tried a 3rd time a few days later and finally found replacements on Amazon. If I buy a new set, I will try another brand. I do not like buying from a company that will not service their products.

JLAB Epic Executive Wireless Active Noise Canceling Earbuds
SUMMARY: JLAB has this Earbud thing nailed down. These earbuds hit far above their price class considering their build quality, the reliable wireless connectivity, call features, and sound quality. Noise reduction falls a little short of the best in class — but JLAB offer noise reduction at this price! And, it’s most effective where you want it most, in the low, engine rumble/drone frequency range.
SETUP: Bluetooth connection at setup was quick and easy. I wandered around my house, leaving my phone behind, charging, and I never lost connection. JLAB provides a nice collection of ear tips (6) and separate “cush fins” (2) which you can choose to use or not. The “fin” or wing allows you to go a bit smaller with the ear tips while still allowing a secure fit. I’m a big fan of these wings. The JLABs felt very secure, but stayed comfortable. Or, leave off the wings if you prefer.
SOUND: I went to my more challenging music — female voices — and, at the other end of the spectrum, deep acoustic bass and cellos. I was already connected via BT, so I used that to judge quality, initially. Considering I’m accustomed to headphones costing multiples of the JLAB price, I was very impressed. These are very satisfying earbuds. Nicely balanced, nice treble detail, and rock solid bass. I forgot I wasn’t wearing my best earbuds, and dug through my music collection, quite enjoying myself. I sampled my thumping, lower fidelity pop rock and these JLABS didn’t mind at all. They can rock with the best. Are these as lush in the upper octaves, or is the bass as tight as my premium over-the-ear? No, not really. When earbud manufacturers make good choices and don’t sacrifice balance for overemphasized bass or hyped treble you find headphones that are easy to live with. These are very easy to live with. I eventually hard wired into my laptop using the provided cable. Sound quality never changed. Still great.
NOISE REDUCTION: JLAB’s easy-to-find, easy-to-use operation continues here, too. A single button push and a green light lets you know noise reduction is on. Against a silent background, the slightest hiss is introduced, which disappears behind program material. This is typical for many Noise Reduction devices. Meanwhile, external background noise is significantly modified. Voices lose low frequency tones completely and are lowered in volume. I experienced a loud lawn mower crew one house away from mine, and they magically appeared to move much further down the street when I switched the noise reduction on. Other steady droning or rumbling from other sources just disappeared. The noise reduction is real.
FEATURES: Playtime is advertised at 7 hours. These earbuds are wired to each other but they are wireless to your phone, laptop, etc. Unless, of course you want to wire them up. This can be useful, for example, if you run out of battery power, and the included wire serves double duty: charging or hard wired for sound via a headphone port by adding an included 3.5mm jack adapter. Minimal stuff to carry around in a small, hard, protective case.
Controls are located on the right side wire where they are very easy to find and use. The controls are very well thought out. A VOICE ASSISTANT lets you know when you are powered on or off, battery level, and BT connection. Very reassuring.
JLAB also includes this neat neckband with a slot for the earbud-to-earbud wire. It turns your earbuds into the neckband style, but only if you want it. It’s small enough to just leave in the carry case.
Phone calls are handled with ease and sound natural. Callers had no trouble understanding me.
COMPLAINTS: (or the opposite of) Who are these JLAB folks? Their instructions are completely understandable, with large readable test, and labeled drawings! Jlab even includes XSmall ear tips, a potential solution for the very petite females in my family. And that included accessory neck-band? I’ve got nothing negative.
RECOMMENDATION: I wouldn’t wait too long to buy these JLABS Epic Executive Earbuds. JLAB might figure out that they are priced well below their value.

I have been generally impressed with jlab and the quality of their earbuds. The best thing about jlab is they keep innovating and listening to their customers feedback to improve their products at an affordable price.
The epic executive wireless earbuds do a great job at noise cancellation. They did come pre-charged and lasted me around 7 hours out of the box. Since I travel every week and am on flights noise cancellation does matter and these headphones do an excellent job of noise cancellation. An additional feature id that you can connect these to the in-flight entertainment system by using the plug-in module and then go wired. The foam tips are snug and stay in no matter what activity you are doing. Also these paired with my iphone without any issues as well as a samsung tablet.
The call quality was excellent even when in noisy places like an airport terminal and the other party never complained of excessive background noise. The package comes with 5 different sizes of foam tips, multiple cush fins, a removable neck band, an aux adapter as wellas the regular micro usb cable and a travel case.
This is an excellent pair of noise cancelling earbuds with lots of accessories to fit everyones need with smart addons.

Good Headphones with Active Noise Cancellation

What's in the box
-----------------
1. 5 Tip sizes + 1 Cloud Foam Tip (12 total)
2. 2 Cush Fins sizes tips(4 of them) - Wish they included more, this is difficult to find
3. Travel case
4. Neckband
6. Micro USB cable for charging
7. Aux adapter for using it in wired mode for plugging in flights outputs
Summary
-------
Basically this is a bluetooth headphones with active noise cancellation and added adapter for wired mode. The active noise cancellation is something i have never tried before and to me it works OK. But do i need it? i think i am OK with passive noise cancellation which i think with fin type tip and in ear tip, i am good. The sound quality is good for bluetooth headsets and i think it is better than any bluetooth headphones costing under 75
Build Quality
-------------
I think the build quality is decent, it comes with an optional headband which i dont think is much of a use, i like to be light. The buttons are placed correctly and there is also a plastic cover over the microphone jack to protect it.it id IP54 rated so it is great at the gym where you are sweating it out. the eat tips will hold the headphones well and does not slip and it is comfortable.
I would however would like a better build quality, may be make it more attractive
Features
-------
1. its got track controls on the headphone in addition to volume control which i think is a great feature, i also have an anker headphones which only has a volume rocker.
2. it has a mic for you to talk on a connected phone and i tested this and the other party could hear you pretty well without having to be loud.
3. It supports Bluetooth 4.1 and i did not notice much of a difference between wired and wireless audio quality and did not notice any dropped connections when playing music.
4. ANC or active noise cancellation feature works decent, i tested it when on a train.
5. its got a wired adapter
Verdict
-------
Sound quality is good, noise cancellation is decent but i could hear a hiss if it is a silent room and ANC is turned on. on the build quality front, i wish they made it more attractive.

Solid headphones

The TL;DR on these JLab wireless noise canceling headphones is: they have a lot of fit customizability and good audio quality, but questionable noise reduction.
I’ve been using Bose wired earbuds with my last two iPhones, but really wanted something wireless; seeing that these had active noise reduction sealed the deal.
Upon opening the package, I was immediately impressed with the number of options for fit. In addition to the usual three sizes of rubber tips that go in your ear opening, there was a set of foam ones, and a set of triple-flanged ones (like ear plugs). I found the foam inserts to be the best when doing anything that caused me to sweat, and the triple-flange sealed out the most ambient noise.
Sound quality for music was on par with the wired Apple earbuds that come with the iPhone; fine for the average listener, but audiophiles would likely find it less than great. Phone calls resulted in 2 people remarking that I sounded hollow or far away, but were fine on my end. I suspect I had the mic opening facing away from my face for those two calls, because no one else mentioned anything.
I must admit, I didn’t notice any difference when I turned on the active noise reduction (ANR). I tried it multiple times, in a variety of situations, and was able to detect the same sounds with it on as with it off. I’ve not used ANR headphones before, so I don’t have anything to compare it to, but if all the well-known ones produce the same result as these, I don’t understand the hype.

I purchased these for listening to music at work. Sound quality is great, they're very comfortable, good battery life (last all of a 10 hour day), very short charge time (maybe an hour to charge from dead to full), and a great price. The only thing I don't like is call quality is horrible, I can't use these at all for phone calls. Not much of a problem for me since I use them at work but for someone who needs to be able to use them to talk, they may not be great for you. Overall very happy with my purchase!

I was quite please with these. They are true noise cancelling, the best feature is you can turn this on or off. Sound is good, bass is passable, but if you get the right ear pieces on, the bass is improved. Comes with many size ear cushions, even has a memory foam one. Stays in my ears, battery life is what the advertise.

After my 5 year old Sony's wore out, and spending around $100 and 'noise cancelling' low budget headphones, while not getting the quality I once had with my Sony's, I went into Best Buy looking for the next best thing and was prepared to spend almost $100 on a pair of high quality ear buds. I started looking for wired, because I didn't want to deal with the battery charging stuff and I honestly think you lose quality transmitting over bluetooth. I mainly use these headphones riding my dual sport motorcycle long distances, other headphones, I almost have to have on full volume to gain the clarity I desired. With these, I was instantly surprised. Even without the 'noise cancelling' they were far better than what I've been used to. The noise cancelling seemed gimmicky while turning it on/off driving home and sitting in the office. I dismissed it, until i got on the bike. There is so much wind noise, engine noise, and road noise, that it can be overwhelming. I turned the noise cancelling on, and it somehow deafens those noise, bringing clarity to whatever's being played.
I'm also possibly the lightest sleeper on planet earth. I have discovered the noise cancelling works great to drown out partiers, critters meandering around in the woods at night, and some annoying co workers.
I had never heard of JLAB prior to this, and would definitely recommend them. The battery life is great, they re-charge quickly, the packaging was awesome, it comes with a neat little case, I don't know what they could have done better. Superb product JOBY, well done.

These are very nice wireless headphones. They paired easily with both my phone and computer and I have yet to experience any dropouts. Furthermore, the sound is great, and they come with a connector so you can use them wired if you don't want to use the battery. My only two negatives are they are not magnetic, so they don't stick together when putting them away or wearing them around your neck, and the build quality feels less than premium. Otherwise, great headphones.

I bought these in July. Very impressed with the sound. Deep bass and good fit in the ears. Comes with extra sizes on earbuds and in ear fit pieces. I used these a few times in the gym but mostly on my walks around carlsbad. Just yesterday, I went to plug in my unit and charge them up for my walk in the morning and the red light never came on. I tried a different cord, nothing. Different brick, nothing. Different plugs, nothing. The unit will not accept a charge. I will mail them back for warranty repair tomorrow.

Well worth the money if you use them alot and are ok spending 100$ or so dollars on headphones. I use headphones for 14-16 hours a day, If I dont use noise cancelling they will last me 12hours, 10 hours of actual use...but they charge to 50% in 30 minutes...very comfortable.

I got these headphones for my dad as a Christmas gift. At first, they worked great. Quality sound, noise canceling was decent, and easy to use. Unfortunately within a couple of weeks it was acting weird when charging. Sometimes it would charge when plugged in and other times you would need to wiggle the connector a bit to get it into the unit. Soon enough, the unit would not charge at all. These will be returned back to the store for a refund. Very disappointed.

Great value with this purchase. They are light weight, the battery holds a decent charge, the carrying case and accessories are nice, and the sound is good. The ergonomics are okay, and the noise-cancellation is not that great. But overall a good set of wireless ear buds.

Things I was looking for: not true-wireless, ANC, good fit. These have those features and were an acceptable price.
PROS: ANC is acceptable, not the best but I was fine with it. They've got great audio quality. Neck band allows them to hang comfortably without pulling on your ears. The wings allow them to sit securely in your ear.
CONS: Battery life is so-so even with ANC off. Biggest con for me is that they fall out VERY easily when doing any exercises on your back (sit ups, bench press, etc) - the neck strap doesn't "clamp" strongly enough on my neck . Obviously this is very much personal choice, It was a deal breaker for me but I still have to give them 4 stars because they are still great headphones.

Finally broke down and bought a quality pair of wireless buds and first off they sound great, the battery last between 8-10 hours as advertised unless you use the “noise cancelling “ option which significantly reduces battery life and two be honest I don’t hear a difference not even the slightest not sure if it’s a gimmick or what but seems pretty pointless my only real complaint is that they really aren’t the most comfortable to me I’ve tried all the different ear pieces they come with and they just start to hurt after awhile I’ve had much cheaper buds that were way more comfortable and if you are looking for something that completely seals out outside noise these ARENT for you they are designed to sit in your ear not plug them which was a disappointment for me I work in a VERY noisy environment and my old buds sealed out basically all noise the Epic buds DO NOT if I would have known that I wouldn’t have purchased them if you are just working out or running they may be a great option but not for my circumstance
