Installed this subwoofer in a 2006 Honda Pilot where the factory sub used to be. Used some mdf rings (frontside and backside of the metal panel) to accommodate the depth of the sub and too stiffen the area around the sub. After some minor modifications, the factory side panel with built-in subwoofer grill fit fine over the sub. It sounds great. Bass is clean / punchy. Connected to a 5 channel Alpine S-A55V amp which delivers up to 300 watts RMS @ 2 ohms to the sub channel.

Honestly, these are the first pair of subwoofers ive ever owned. I have 2 of these in an enclosed box. They were a little underwhelming at first but with some tuning they sound so good, and so loud if you want them to be. Literally makes my front and rear windshield shake when im playing my music at 3/4ths volume. Very good, very recommend

I have 2 of these in a sealed box with 1.15 cubic ft of air per sub in my VW Jetta. Sounds good between the music I listen to (rock and hip hop). I had a L7 in a ported box and it handled lower notes a bit better (sub 32hz), but the bass sounded kind of muddy with a lot of rock music. Two of these in a sealed box sounds a lot cleaner and is still more than enough power to give me a back massage and tickle my ears if I turn them up. Would recommend if you're looking to fill in your low end and actually feel the bass.

I had kicker subs when I was in high school. I was one of the annoying kids with the loud systems you could hear blocks away. Now I’m an annoying adult with a loud system lol great subs paired with a kicker 800.1 d class amp. Very crisp clear bass that added the depth to my music.

Good sound and thump for the price, the black with red stitching is a nice touch. 2 of em paired with a cx800.1 and wired together for 1ohm, measured at around 1.3-1.4 actual.

The Kicker comp 10 reproduces the actual sound of a bass guitar, not just bass. You can hear the attack of the beater on the head and again, the sound of a bass drum, not just bass or a thud. I just have one 10" in a sealed enclosure, running off a 500 max mono Kicker amp. I've played drums 30+ years and recorded and mixed live / studio, always had a system since i was 16, these Kicker Comps are on point, even for particular ears.
