I bought a pair of Klipsch speakers on sale. They sound good. I only wish the cabinet came in brown instead of black. I realize that the cabinet must be a certain size for acoustic reasons, but I still wish they were a bit shorter for a home environment.

I have had these about 2 weeks now. They sound excellent! Great depth of sound, very clear, good highs mid and lows. They were on sale for $420 and excellent value for the price. I was looking at the $1000 plus and I can’t say they are any less quality. Very happy.

Super towers!

I've always wanted floor tower speakers instead of using bookshelf for my main left/right in my older setup. Enter the Klipsch 800F and wow. Just blown away, literally and figuratively.
In the box comes the one tower, paperwork, screws to install the feet, front and rear feet. Installation is easier with 2 people, but I did it myself on a cushion on the floor to avoid damaging the beautiful finish. It's simpler to open the top, take out the package with the screws and feet then turn it upside down on a cushion (not really needed as it has a large/thick styrofoam piece to protect it. Make sure the feet are orientated the correct way then screw in the screws but not too tight as it can damage the tower.
I used 14 AWG to connect both towers to my Onkyo receiver's left and right channels and also ran another pair from the receiver's Height output to the tower's 2nd input for Height for the Atmos speakers on top of them. Love how this makes adding Atmos later so easy.
Sound is clearly amazing. Highs, lows and mids were on point. In my 7.1 setup you can hear everything and feel the punch from them. If you just want towers, at least pair them with a great sub like the Klipsch 121SW and you'll be golden.
The grille is magnetic so if you want to show off the beautiful copper cones, it's a great option. The black cabinet is nice to look at and would fit in any room. Would recommend these in a heartbeat to people looking for great towers.

I have a small listening room, it's a 12x16 living room in a small 1 bedroom apartment so these speakers alone are more than enough to fill the area with awesome sound. I have them as my fronts on an Onkyo TX-NR6050, replacing a pair of R-620Fs which got bumped to surrounds, which in turn bumped my R-610Fs to the rear. I also have an R-52C center and a pair of R-12SW subs. These R-800Fs are definitely more than I needed sound wise as far as filling the room but they do fill a gap that was present between the 6.5" woofers and the 12" subs and I don't have to push my amp hard to get plenty of awesome sound filling the space. This keeps the heat generated by pushing amps down and will therefore prolong the life of them because heat is an amps worst enemy, only second to user error. I have never melted an amp either in my home setups nor my car audio systems because I always make sure there of enough power to be able to run the amps at moderate levels to accomplish big sound. It's not really any more expensive, especially if you take into account the cost of replacing a fried amp, you just have to know or be willing to learn how to pick your components and when and where to shop for them. I got these at half the MSRP retail price. I grabbed them because I could and I'm very glad I did. The previous reviewer who did the overview article mentioned a few times that they are lacking somewhat in the mid range and I would have to agree but unless you're a snobby audiophile who wouldn't own Klipsch Reference series speakers anyway its not very noticeable and it fills in some as they break in. When I first turned the system on after connecting them I was far from impressed but I turned up the volume a bit and ran some albums from a few different genres that are standards recommend by experienced speaker testers and then a few select tracks that I have picked out myself for a final break in session that I have put together myself based on my listening preferences because I don't generally listen to commercially produced music. I have amassed a substantial collection of music from genres, artists, and labels that I guess would be considered "underground" to those who don't understand that there is a vast universe of great music out there that is not exposed via the major record labels and radio exposure that is repetitively served up for the masses. That is where my listening preferences reside. The basic genre structure is the same, it's just better music by better artists and lots and lots of it and thanks to modern technology it is now available to anyone who desires to step off the beaten path. Although not surprisingly, few seem to have the willingness to do. Very few people recognize any of the music I listen to although they do claim to enjoy it however step right back into their fabricated comfort zones as soon as they leave my presence. Sadly for them and most people it seems they are limited in scope and not ready to step out of the box. It's a shame but not much I can do to change besides just keep exposing it as much as possible in hopes that some of it at least will catch their attention enough at some point in order for them to start seeking on their own. But after my own personal break in and the standard and a couple of movies that I also use as reference to the same tune as my musical interests, the mid range has stepped up a notch at least as far as I hear it. I am super happy with these and any mid range that may be left lacking in these is quickly filled in when I set the system to utilize all of the channels with the other speakers I have. So this condition is not even a factor for my system because the Onkyo handles the surround processing for any video that I feed it and I usually listen to music in "all channel stereo" mode and if I do want just 2 channel stereo for music I am able to set either the fronts or either of the surround positions to play it that way so if these are missing any of the full range of sound, I can simply set it to play on the R-620Fs or the R-610Fs. These are definitely the right ones to completely fill in my sound requirements and I do recommend them to anyone looking for a similar outcome. If you mainly listen to commercially available music in 2 channel stereo, these will still sound decent to most people but if you are a serious audiophile, there are probably more suitable options on the market. Hope this helps in your quest for the ultimate speakers for your preferences.

I purchased two of these speakers and they are MONSTERS. You can push these speakers louder than you ever need them to be and still the sound quality is clear without distortion. Great for playing music, movies, really whatever. They have tons of bass which some might want to eq a bit. The build quality is really great, they are pretty heavy and a bit bigger than I thought. Make sure you have the room for them.

Those speakers sound phenomenal!!! I'm not a big sound tech guy but in my opinion they're well balanced.. treble, bass, and the loudness of them is excellent especially for price of them! I purposely waited until the holiday season to buy those to catch a sale. The materials used to bring those speakers to life is great and the way I can take the cover off and it just snaps back on is unbelievable compared to the other tower speakers I've had in the past. Great job Klipsch... I can't wait to purchase some more of your products!

Fantastic speakers for a home system. Plugged into an Onkyo tx-nr646 and they sound fantastic and im barely pushing them. I also picked up banana plugs to plug in all the wires, I've just shoved them in the screw holes in the past but wanted to do it right with these.

The only bad thing I can say about this is that it arrived damaged (chips off of the edges straight ouf of the box despite all of the packaging around it) and Klipsch would do nothing about it, nor would Best Buy, but it was going to be such a hassle to return it that we kept them both. Performance-wise, they are the best speakers we've ever had and are worth the price.

Very crisp sounds with horn tweeting. Nice woofer sound with the 8s. Love the thin cabinet. Copper look is great! Still not very smart when it comes to copper and it’s value yet? The only thing that had me messed up was there are connections for wall speakers but there are know speakers there? Can you buy these and wire them in? Just wondering because that would be cool. In a nut shell these speakers have been awesome. I live in apartment so I can’t really appreciate. I hope this was something that can help the review. And thank you so much

Have 4 800’s connected to Onkyo tx nr 6100. Horn tweeter , mid range and base produce excellent sound. If you like it loud these are for you. Also have the klipsch 820’s. 800’s slightly better. Great speaker for mid range price.

I was really surprised when i bought theses speakers. I read all reviews. Some were bad, and some were really good. I took the chance and bought theses. And let me tell ya!! If you want loud and shake your house type of speakers. Cant go wrong on purchasing theses speakers. I would diff buy 4 more of theses speakers To add to my stereo collection. Klipsch speakers are buy far the best quality sounded speaker. Beside Martin logons but, who want to pay 800 a speaker. When you can buy juat as good quality as Martin Logan for half the price. Just make sure your receiver is klipsch friendly. Onkyo 6100 or 7100 or rz52 is a great pair with all klipsch speakers

These speakers are just amazing! I returned some definitive tech that were twice as much, and got these and wow are these better! Never getting anything other than Klipsch. Watching movies and listening to music on these is amazing. The lows are great, but paired with the 12 in klipsch sub it really rumbles the room.
