    I dunno if it’s just me, but the drive doesn’t seem to maintain indexing w/ my ‘20 MacBook Pro, which makes it slow every time it mounts. Otherwise I haven’t had any issues.

    I used to swear by Lacie. This is the second external hard drive by Lacie that died within a few months. Because the drive is so inexpensive I did not pay the 25% extra for the 2-Year Accidental Geek Squad Replacement, so that is on me. But I am done with Lacie. I have six year old Lacies that still run, but apparently the company is no longer good.

    Do your homework and buy a different brand. Is it really worth it to you put everything you care about on a drive only to see it fail? Because that will be your future. And if you already own one of these, get your data off it immediately and throw it in the trash.
