Lacie is the go to brand for a hard drive for me. Not only do they make a hard drive that's fast, that can take a few drops and water, but they also have a warranty that has data recovery included. Why would you want all your precious data on another drive that once it goes down it's down for good?

These have been my favorite hard drives so far. I shoot massive loads of videos and over the years have tried to use many different external drives. Since I travel a lot to film ima meats on the fly trying to dump my cards and these LaCie drives are perfect due to their size, their water resistant a moth especially when shooting in the rain, and the strong runner coating makes me feel secure from accidental drops. Every time I get a long term client I make sure to get them their own LaCie drive. I haven’t had one go bad on me yet.

I've heard people rave about these drives for a while and decided to try one out. It's fantastic. Rugged, Portable, Fast, and a lot of storage to boot. A must for any traveling photographer.

Best durable proof storage, this is my second one. I had the first generation one, but since I upgraded my MacBook Pro to the new one with all USB-C I did not want to deal with carrying a dongle and saw this came with a USB-C cord I instantly pulled the trigger on buying this. Well needed if you need more storage and have a MacBook Pro 2017 model. Especially since I’m a photographer and take a ton of photos I need the additional space for my Raw files as they add up pretty quickly.

Great product. Just plug and play. I bought two in order to backup ALL of my personal photographs. I made a copy of the first drive onto the second drive. I update just added photos. This is the easiest and cheapest way to secure my personal / scanned / family photos. They are 5400 RPM but fast enough for what I need. They store easily and I love the rubberized case.

I love this thing. So tiny, so cute and sturdy but most importantly....2TB of memory! It's great for an on the go item. I take so many pictures and needed a way to store it without filling up my computer and this is it. I love it.

It's been great so far. Amazing that they can fit 2TB on this little thing. That is a TON of storage. It's fast, light, seems very durable. Great drive!

I'm a photographer and this external hard does the trick. The orange rubber guard really helps the drive from taking a tough fall. The usb-c compatibility speeds this drive up. I have it on my Surface Book 2 and it's fast.

I am someone who needs so much storage in my devices since I am a memory hoarder of sorts and this drive does not disappoint. I moved all my games from my laptop onto it because my laptop was running out of space and the drive still has SO much space in it. I think it’s worth the purchase for anyone who is just like me.

I use this as the Time Machine on my macBook Pro. I'd had in service the 1TB little brother to this new 2TB for over 5 years without a hitch. The 1TH was maxed out, hence the need for big brother.
It was just plug-and-play without any issues and has been running continuously for the past month. These LaCie rugger drives have been excellent. Small, quiet, self-contained, fast, LaCie has given me good service.

It is nice and compact - a decent compacity and fast - I've used it on a number of jobs transfering TBs of 4K footage - moves fast when connected via Thunderbold/USB-C

This little guy is packs such a punch! I am a professional photographer and this changed the game for me. I am able to import and export images in a timely manner due to the speed of the hard drive, also it’s almost impossible to break it. You could throw it against the wall and it would till work. I am impressed!

I use this for regular Time Machine backups on my Macbook Pro. It has given me no problem at all. I even run a Windows 10 image using VMWare Fusion off of it on those rare occasions I need to boot up Windows on my Macbook. It's a bit slower for that, but for something I only occasionally boot up. So, it's fine for me. I'd recommend a real SSD if you want speed. Otherwise, for backing up files and entire drives, it works great. LaCie is a bit more pricey compared to other similar drives from other companies, but I've always trusted them for reliability and quality. I'd recommend this.
