So far it’s a great external hard drive. If your looking for something durable and on the go or just need more storage on the computer at home. This LaCie external hd is great. I’ve read some other reviews of other having problems but so far everything is going great. Both windows and Mac.

I’ve used LaCie Rugged drives for work for years. When it came time to get my wife a working drive to pair with her new MacBook Pro (that has a SSD that is on the small side) I went with what I knew would stand up to the rigors of being stuffed in a bag and pulled out over and over. USB C was also a must to connect to the new computer, but the drive also came with a USB A so getting content onto the drive from her old computer was a snap and no clunky adapter needed.

Ever since I use Macs, I have loved Lacie. Lacie (now owned by Seagate) specialized in Apple Mac drive systems, and they make excellent products. These rugged drives were expensive in the past, but since I got this on sale, I had to get the external rugged USB-C 2TB drive. It is very fast, and I know it will work top-notch. I have all my music on my portable and works like a gem.

It responded fast, rugged body and color is easy to reach for when i need it. I have tried last two weeks to see how it worked and it sure did a good job. My friends also bought the same like mine and he used that every day to store external memory for his digital camera.

I you own a computer with USB C Ports this is your drive, only concern it runs a bit warm, but is sturdy, and so is the cable provided

The LaCie external hard drives work very well. Ive used them for some big projects and they always hold up.

Great External drive for my computer. Has a lot of space.

So far so good. I shoot a lot of video and it's great to have such large storage space in such a compact package and such a low price. I have a Mac and I noticed there is a more expensive "thunderbolt 3 version, but I don't know that that is necessary. I don't see a difference. It's fast, too.

I bought this to keep any and all video and photography projects after I was done with them in case I needed them, so that I wouldn't have to take up storage on my Mac book and keep it running at full speed. I would recommend working off of an SSD as it is faster than a HD and then transfer finished products to the hard drive. Bang for your buck!

This hard drive is my go to. It's easy to transfer files onto and is reliable. I usually have two backups of each hard drive and these are easy to label and store. Overall, the most reliable hard drive I've used!

Bought this to transfer videos from my IPad Pro directly to an external hard drive. I like this hard drive because I don’t have to offload onto a computer first and can go directly from the IPad to this drive. Its well built and study so I know it will last. It’s also very easy to use. Just plug into IPad and start transferring videos. I bought the 2TB version and will most likely buy another.

Tough little hard drive with lots of space. I bought this because I needed something I could transfer large dashcam videos from my phone without the needed of carrying a laptop all the time. A very good buy. Will buy another in the future when I finally fill this one up.

I was looking for one of these, having relied on LaCie drives in the past. 2TB should serve me well. There was only one on the shelf after the Christmas rush or I would have bought 2.

I own a marketing agency that does video production and we're in need of an external hard drive on the go. The external hard drive works great and not that we plan on dropping it but if we were to it's external case would absorb the shock. It's also very compact. Would recommend it to others!

Works flawlessly and is super fast with the usb c cable. I have it hooked up to my NAS.

This is a great little hard drive. It is expensive though. If price is an issue, there are lower priced drives out there. I have more than one these in different storage configurations. Never had any issues whatsoever.

Durable and easy to use. Very little set-up required. This is the third LaCie Rugged 2TB I have purchased (each for a different computer) and I plan to buy others for any new computer I purchase. Great investment for peace of mind.

Good additional storage for my computer. A little on the expensive side though.
