Overall they tend to be reliable and rugged enough for my day to day travels and I love that LaCie includes the proper cables for both old and new computers. Great, reliable drives!

I have stored allt on it and when i want something back on my phone i just connect it via the wire and add it back on. Very simple. I cant tell you how many times i dropped it and no damage occurred.

The USB-C jack is slightly aggressive (I have to really yank it from my MacBook), but this also ensures that it doesn’t accidentally disconnect.

This LaCie external hard drive is a keeper. I rarely unplug it from the new computer and it holds while traveling in the book bag.

I purchased this to replace another similar model that died after about 3 years. I would have hoped to get more time out of the last one but understand that sometimes that is the life of a hard drive. Since it was just a backup, corruption of the last device was not an issue.

This has been working GREAT! Especially the Type-C connection. Files in Gigs FLY out of my computer and into the drive with ease and boot up with ease as well when opening folders. I love it!
