    My old LaCie for my old Macbook Pro had Firewire connection. I could not find an adaptor or converter, so got a new LaCie drive

    it does the job well. Just be careful during set up, i had to exchange one as it died right during set up.

    These drives are great. Just don't plan on keeping them in your camera bag if you're not super careful as they'll break even though they have the rubber padding. Not the fault of the drive, just a word of warning.

    Used this to store software updates on a older macbook pro. Once restarted the computer ran very slowly with this plugged in. If used just for file storage it probably is great.
