This new Lenovo IDEAPAD 2 in 1 is a great addition to the Lenovo 14 inch laptop family. It is competitively priced and has great features. It has one 3.1C HDMI port and two 3.0 HDMI ports. The keypad is second to none and this laptop has a speedy Pentium Gold processor. I used this laptop for about an hour before I installed a 8gb RAM chip and an Samsung 500gb SSD drive. Once I installed those upgrades this little laptop is as fast or faster than my I-5 laptop with an SSD drive as well. I exchanged the Lenovo Flex 4 that is sold by Best Buy for this because I like the feel of the keyboard, color and small features better on this IDEAPAD better. If you don't mind upgrading the RAM 8gb and Installing a SSD drive, then this computer is a steal for all of the features that it comes with.

I struggled for two weeks before making the decision to return this. Honestly, it has a great build to it, nice style, great keyboard and silky smooth track pad and big hard drive. The problem unfortunately, is that it uses a conventional hard drive coupled with a measly 4 megs of RAM. Running Windows 10 and any of the big applications (think Microsoft Office) brought this laptop to its knees, waiting for apps to open. My toes would literally curl. I'm using this primarily for business - a portable to use when I'm not at my office desktop. But the sheer unresponsiveness or lag with virtually every application I threw at it led to me to look for an alternative. And I searched high and low. I looked at the Spectras from HP and looked at the ASUS books --- you can find things wrong with almost all of them - folks complaining about the heat they give off, etc. I also didn't want to drop $1500 bucks on a laptop. So I thought about the things I loved about this Lenovo laptop and decided to trade up to the Lenovo Yoga 720. I will tell you so far I've spent the day reloading all my apps and I absolutely love the Yoga 720. It's got a solid state drive (just 250 gigs) but it's got 8 megs of RAM and let me tell you -that makes all the difference in the world. Every app I throw at it literally pops! Opens quick. The unit does not seem to heat up. No noisy fan. It's got the same great keyboard and even backlit. Battery seems adequate. Do yourself a favor - spring for the extra few bucks to get the 720 because its the difference between having a computer that can keep up with you or having one that is constantly lagging behind you.

I bought this for a friend who needed a computer with a good amount of storage and reliability with a good price. This computer filled that requirement with some great BONUS features like the touchscreen and the tablet-transforming ability. It runs great! A little slow once restarted but this normal for a 4gb RAM device but give it 5 mins for background programs to run and you everything is smooth afterwards.

I bought this laptop to replace my 10yr old Toshiba Satellite 15.6" laptop. I was looking for something in stock around the $300-$500 price point that was smaller and sleeker than my Toshiba. I am primarily a web and word processing user but am also getting into coding and web development. I wanted to get my hands on a demo before I purchased a laptop so I went to the store. The look and feel of this laptop gave me the impression that it is of good quality. The top lid has a rubbery feel that is not sticky and seems to be scratch resistant so far. It took some time to get used to a smaller keyboard without a standalone number pad but I've found this keyboard to function well and be comfortable. My backspace key is a little squeaky but it may get quieter as it get's worn in. The awkwardness of getting used to a smaller keyboard is worth it for the overall portability and comfort of having a smaller laptop in various situations. I don't use the touch screen much but it is pretty responsive and convenient. I'm impressed with the battery life on this guy. I haven't really tracked how long it is lasting me under heavy use but I'm not worried about always having the charger and an outlet at the ready. This laptop is quiet and generates very little heat when in my lap. Every other little thing I love about this laptop is mainly due to having the features and benefits of a modern laptop! i.e. webcam, bluetooth connections, and larger hard drives. My one negative about this laptop would be that the RAM cannot be upgraded. It's not really a negative for me now, but it may be in the future.

This was for my college aged daughter. I was tired of sharing mine. The performance is great in my opinion. Lots of features for what we paid. I would definitely recommend it. She loves it!

Bought this laptop when it was on sale for $100 off. Only planning on using this as backup laptop and to bring with me on vacations and traveling. I have upgraded to 8 gb ram and swapped out regular 500 gb disk hard drive for 500 gb SSD (from old previous broken laptop). Speed has improved a good deal, though still not going to play any games on it. Otherwise, just planning on using for email, simple internet browsing, watching videos, streaming, and light duty Microsoft Office work. This is a good decent laptop for simple use. Touchscreen not too bad either.

A friend bought me a Compaq laptop years ago as a Christmas gift which was awesome. It was my first one. The motherboard gave out and although I could replace the motherboard, I found out from the computer tech that the laptop had a defect and it would've killed the motherboard again. This time I bought a Lenovo because I've heard some good things about it. I love the fact that's its user friendly and it was on sale. I do hate that it doesn't have a cd drive, but I know most laptop they make now don't carry them anymore. All in all, it's great especially on trips or when I don't want to fire up the desktop!

I purchased this laptop for my “work from home job” I wanted a touchscreen for my convenience. After using it a month, when drawing a circle it is no longer a smooth circle but choppy(the circle has sharp edges if that makes sense) not sure if the screen can be collaborated haven’t figured it out yet. Also if the laptop detected something it would turn the laptop off in the middle of me working (I understand this maybe a safeguard). For the type of what I do this is not acceptable I could lose money or my job if it happen to many times. I brought a iPad as a backup. I will be returning. I would recommend but I would also share my encounters. This laptop is very light, it doesn’t have a Ethernet port so I had to buy a adapter and it only had two USB ports.

Excellent laptop. Could be a little faster but changing the drive to a solid state drive takes care of that. Love the versatility as well.

I bought this because I have a similar Leveno computer with an I7 processor and SSD drive that I use for work. I do not see much difference in performance with this new computer. It is a good size and weight to use around our home. And a great price for what I got.

Needed a laptop for my son to take away to school. He is very pleased with the computer and so am I. Highlights are the touchscreen and ease of use. He uses it mostly for music production programs and it has great screen graphics and a clear sound. Perfect size for travel, not taking up a ton of space yet the screen size and design make it comfortable for everyday or extended use.

Helped a friend pick out this computer for home use. Great hybrid laptop/tablet for medium use (web surfing/Office365/YouTube/Netflix).

Needed a more lightweight version of my Mac, but with the ability to use Microsoft Word docs in full (it's not exactly the same on an Apple) for school. I like how this feels very similar in terms of the mouse pad features (the swipes depending on how many fingers used) and the multiple desktops. If this is common now, I have nothing to compare to other than this. I like the touch screen feature too, and the ability to use it as a tablet even though I haven't used it much yet lately.

I was looking for a laptop for my 14 year old daughter. This one was a good price and has worked well for her, so far. It meets all of her needs for school and is still fun to play on. She likes the touch screen and the way it flips back as a tablet. Overall, satisfied with this purchase.

Nice and slim. The first one I bought had issues with the display. Returned it and was given another. It has been working fine since. The computer isn't as fast as I'd like but it meets my main requirement of small form factor and touchscreen capability.

Nice for my needs but colors are not crisp and vibrant. Look almost like a haze over colors.

For the price, its a great laptop. I like the size and durability, and its overall clean look. Definitely not a high performance machine but very versatile. Perfect for what I need it to do!!

Very light and well-made I like the keyboard it’s really well done as well as the platinum coding on the keyboard in the two and one features not the fastest computer on the planet because it doesn’t have an SSD drive or a faster operating system but I would highly recommend for somebody that just need to search the web pay bills and look at emails occasionally

It is a great value for the price. While it is not a powerhouse laptop, it was the perfect gift for my wife. Her use mainly consists of keeping up on Facebook, email, messaging, surfing the net and simple online gaming during the day. In the evening she uses it to stream television shows from Netflix and Hulu. She loves the fact that the keyboard can fold back into presentation mode for this and that the touchscreen allows for easy navigation. The sound quality from the built in speakers is what you would expect from a laptop so is usable, but she generally uses headphones when streaming. For me, the screen resolution is a little low but for her it works just fine. In fact, a higher resolution display would be money wasted for her as she likes the larger text for readability. All in all, if there is a better laptop for the money at this price point.
