Great value|Posted .I would recommend this to a friend
This is a powerful computer at a low cost. My wife uses it for meetings where she down loads the agenda materials and follows them during the meeting. It is very compact and fits in her satchel. Great battery life. The only down side is the color. Ours is a gray/blue that I don't think looks very professional. Black or silver would be better.

I really wanted to like it...Posted .No, I would not recommend this to a friend
The Lenovo Flex 11 has had some very good reviews by reputable sources. I have owned an HP Chromebook 11 G5 for a little over a year, and although it has an excellent touchscreen, I really wanted a 2-in-1 design for traveling. I have had a great experience with a Lenovo X1 Yoga laptop at work, and so the Flex 11 Chromebook seemed promising. Maybe my unit was defective. The touchpad -- although incredibly precise and responsive -- rattled loudly with even the softest tap. And worse, the touchscreen was so insensitive that it was nearly useless in laptop mode and required strong pressure in tablet mode. Scrolling on the touchscreen was hit-and-miss. And as if to be the final dealbreaker, the full-size SD card sticks halfway out of the chassis when using it. Looking for a half-height card seemed pointless given the touchpad and touchscreen issues. Within an hour of unboxing the Flex 11, I powerwashed it and packed it back up. I ended up exchanging it for an ASUS Flip C101PA. Although the ASUS has only a 10.1 inch screen, the build quality is outstanding, especially the aluminum chassis. And the touchscreen is every bit as good as my X1 Yoga laptop and HP Chromebook.

Worst computer purchase everPosted .No, I would not recommend this to a friend
I bought this chromebook for my 8 year old son at Christmas so he could do his homework and play some games instead of him trying to take my phone all the time. His school uses chromebooks so I thought it would be good for him for a couple of years. He had it for three months and it worked fine though in retrospect I think the screen size is too small. At the end of March the operating system crashed showing only a message that the chrome operating system was damaged or missing and the unit would no longer charge. It was still under warranty so I contacted Lenovo and had to ship the machine to Kentucky at my own expense. It arrived there on 4/13 and for the last 18 days I have talked to 4 representatives and 1 supervisor since 4/19 who all have said that the repair is in progress and that the motherboard was defective. The Lenovo online repair status system says they are still waiting for the machine and when I asked each rep about that they said check back in 24 hours and of course 24 hours came and went without an update each time. I may not be the most tech savvy guy alive but even I could replace a mother board in less than 18 days and counting. This is the absolute worst customer service for a computer under warranty. It will certainly be the last time I buy a Lenovo product!
