The heart of the IdeaPad 330-15 is Windows 10. With regard to learning your way around Windows 10, you may want to try YouTube.com (just type that address in your browser address window). There are hundreds for free instructional videos there about Windows 10. Just type Windows 10 Introduction in to the YouTube search window. You can watch free videos there that will show you the basics all the way up to tips and tricks videos and they're all free.

My charger broke off into my computer, short battery life and very glitchy. Only installed steam games and any time I leave the window and go back to a game the color is inverted

Posted .We are sorry to hear that you are having compatibility issues with installed software on your Lenovo 330-15 laptop. We recommend you always check the requirements and compatibility of any games/software you install before investing in a new computer, or installing new games/software to an existing computer. Try resetting your IdeaPad 330-15 to original factory settings. This system is equipped with OneKey Recovery System. There is a very small pin hole on the left side of the device, right near the SD card slot on the device. You will need a pin to push this reset button. Plug the device in. Let the battery charge for about 15 minutes. Push the reset button. The system should boot to a choice screen where you can choose "Restore To Factory Default". Select this. It will delete everything from the hard drive except the original factory install of the operating system. You will need to reinstall all programs and files after the reset. If you don't have copies of the files, try to make one before you restore by selecting "Boot to desktop" and trying to back up your files. If the problem persists after the factory reset, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686.

The first month it worked good however after that I kept having problem with it. The fan would be very loud and it started slowing down. After a while we stop using it. I finally started using it again and the same thing happen again. Took it to Best Buy and hoping they could fixes it. Would not recommend

Great Laptop with A Few Compromises
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Good: 1 - This is a very fast laptop with 8GB of memory. 2 - It has a quick charging feature. 3 - The screen while not IPS looks very good and has good viewing angles. 4 - The keyboard is very good for quick typing. 5 - There are lights for the num lock, caps lock and power. 6 - It has a DVD drive The Not So Good: 1 - You can't charge it from the USB port. 2 - There's no easy way to upgrade the drive or add memory. 3 - Only 2 USB ports* 4 - USB ports are only on one side (left) of the laptop. 5 - Audible fan. 6 - Audible hard drive. Comments: I was looking for a laptop with great performance, a very good screen and the ability to upgrade easily. Lenovo delivered on the performance but adding memory or upgrading to a SSD will be a chore because it has a dozen small screws instead of a compartment like other brands do. While this is just a minor annoyance (you don't upgrade that often), what I find both confusing and annoying is the USB type C port. When I looked at this laptop in the store, I saw the sticker on the front that said USB-C 3.1 and it also says "Fast Charging" so naturally, I thought I'd be able to charge it like my cell phone but you can't. It's nice that the port can do high speed data transfers but I would rather have a third regular USB port which is far more flexible. Although I intend to change to a SSD at some point, I have no real complaints with the 1TB drive this laptop came with. The drive is very fast for a conventional drive but in a quiet space, the drive activity noise can be annoying. As for the fan, for people who like me have a work space that is dead quiet, this could be an annoyance. It seems that the fan never turns off but for the speed of this laptop, it's a compromise I'm willing to live with. All in all, in my opinion, this is the price/performance leader in laptops as of the time of this review (I just looked and it's on sale for $60 less than I paid for mine). Thanks for reading

Posted .Thank you for choosing the Lenovo IdeaPad 330-15 laptop. This model is not user upgradable. A certified technician must do all of the work, so as to not void the warranty. Your certified technician can replace the existing 4GB of RAM in the one memory slot (there is another 4GB of RAM soldered to the motherboard) and replace it with an 8GB RAM stick. Your certified technician could also replace the standard hard drive with a compatible solid state hard drive. Check with your certified technician for your options.

Only cons are the battery life, which is on the low side (3 hours on average, 4 hours 15 minutes at the very best), and the fan, which is slightly loud. Overall, a phenomenal purchase for multimedia and college use.

This system uses the Dual-Core/Four-Thread AMD Ryzen 3 2200U processor. It will generate heat whenever it is turned on, even at idle, this is normal. The onboard fan will maintain the proper operating temperature for the device. You will hear the fan whenever it runs, this too is normal.

And by that, I mean that if you're looking for a gaming laptop and whatnot, it might not work for you. I read all the negative reviews (I find these more beneficial than positive ones) before I made my purchase. The main complaint that I saw repeat was how slow the laptop is. I can tell you that this is a Windows 10 issue on this laptop. Because Lenovo does not provide a firmware update tool for Linux, I kept the windows installation which comes preloaded to make it easier to update the firmware whenever there is an update (and there will be one when you first use the laptop). I noticed how annoying and lagging performance was. However, I waited until I installed the Linux based system that I was going to actually use before deciding whether this is machine related to Windows related. The machine is perfectly fine and performs well. Battery life is about 4 hours (it's a small capacity battery as indicated in the product description). I also read complaints about the fan noise and HDD noise; both are legitimate to a certain extent. The fan noise is audible, but it doesn't go too loud as I expected it to based on reviews, perhaps it goes higher when using Windows 10. As to the hard disk noise, you can only hear it when it "parks" or starts. During use, it is barely noticeable, if at all. Overall, I'm satisfied with this purchase and it serves me well as an advanced user.

The only thing I don’t like is the tracking pad, it’s very rough and seems didfixult to click things without putting force , I’m not sure if the sensitivity is adjustable. I got this laptop for the purpose of downloading light games like roblox and sims. The graphics are good . I looked at the reviews before I made this purchase, it doesn’t seem amazingly fast ,but it had pretty decent speed for the cost of this laptop . Extremely easy to set up. If you’re like me and plan on doing “light gaming” aka downloading a few games and browsing the web this is good for you. But I would advise getting a mouse to click, overall I’d rate the laptop a 4/5. This is my honest opinion

You can get there by clicking on the magnifying glass at the bottom left of your Windows 10 screen. Type "touchpad" in the search window. Select "Mouse & touchpad settings" from the list of choices. You can make general adjustments to the touchpad there. You can also select "Additional mouse options" for more detailed adjustments to the touchpad sensitivity by increasing the delay of the touchpad.

I'm not a gamer, but I fell in love with this machine because it's faster than anything else I've ever worked with. I realize it may have a little too much power for to expand upon in the future, but I do plan on using it for a very long time since it technically was an investment.
