I was trying to transcribe while I was listening to my audio file, all of a sudden the machine is down. It take forever to boot up. I will have to call in to Lenovo.

The drive is 256gigs and so far windows is taking up 40 with updates... but it also has a card reader so I got terabyte solid state card and I'm using that for storage. At this price... buy it.... I'm an mcse, mcsa, mcdba, mcsd and mcp….. I built a tech company... this is a PROFESSIONAL opinion ;-)

Works like a dream and I haven’t had any issues with it. The battery life is excellent, i7 processor is one of the best according to what I’ve read, and the 256GB Solid State Drive should be able to handle pretty much whatever you’re throwing at it. Getting it on sale was a steal and I couldn’t be happier. Someone gave an iffy review since it had a matte screen instead of glossy? It does have a matte screen, but that has no bearing on performance and is a personal preference.

With a decent amount of space in the RAM and SSD. Also with the great CPU, it worked a lot faster than my old laptop and was definitely an upgrade. Considering the price that I had paid for this laptop (I got it on sale), it was the cheapest out there for the same quality.

The wifi is also super fast with the new technology compared to my old laptop. It does have a Matte display which some people complained about , But there is no glare from the screen as with my old laptop. This was a great buy. Would recommend to others, you won't be disappointed.

SSD helps load times and the processor & RAM ensure that you won't have any issues running most applications. Battery life is decent. Not too much bloatware.

I have been a fan of Lenovo laptops for years and was pleased to see this model with a significant markdown for the holiday promotion. Lenovo builds a quality product with good responsiveness on the keyboard and an overall "solid" feel. This particular model came very well configured (Intel i7 with 12GB of RAM) and has worked out well for me since I run multiple resource-intensive Microsoft programs at once. The screen is not as bright as the HP model it replaced, but that is less of an objection than an observation.

The i7 along with the SSD makes this a great performing laptop. The specs indicate that it cannot go above 12GB of RAM, but checking with crucial, it sounds like an 8GB stick can be replaced with a 16GB stick and take it to 20 GB of ram. (it seems there is 4GB of ram soldered to the system somewhere) This laptop is going to last for a while!

I wanted SSD, more than 8GB Ram and a full screen with keypad. I’m an accountant (nobody is perfect). I found 5is laptop online after an IT professional recommend Lenovo. It has performed very well. I had no problems migrating data and programs. It’s done exactly what I wanted and done it well. It was definitely the right choice for me.

Good Home Office Laptop

I like the design and the processing speed is good. My one complaint is with the audio which continues to shut itself off for some reason. I have yet to resolve this but will keep trying. When it works the audio is fine. The color is quite nice. I chose this over other similar models with an equal or higher price such as HP for the larger memory.

Posted .Thank you for choosing the Lenovo IdeaPad S145-15 laptop. Regarding the audio turning off, try tapping the HotKey at the F1 position on your keyboard when the audio turns off. This HotKey toggles the audio on/off, an inadvertent touch of the HotKey will turn the system audio off. If this is not the issue, be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10 installed on the computer and that all of the supporting BIOS files and drivers are also up to date. You can easily accomplish this by scanning the computer with the installed Lenovo Utility software installed on the computer. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. If the issue still continues after these updates, we recommend you call Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686 for additional help.
