Big Performance Boost with Sleek Design

This laptop was an amazing upgrade for me, coming from a 4060 laptop with 16GB of RAM. The difference in performance was immediately noticeable. Games open quickly and run flawlessly on high settings without any issues.
One thing that really stood out is how well it manages heat. Even after running games at high settings for hours, the laptop doesn’t overheat, at least in my experience. The fans are also not very loud, which makes long gaming sessions much more enjoyable.
In terms of battery life, though, it doesn’t last very long. If you plan to use it for gaming or heavier tasks, you’re definitely better off bringing the charger with you. It performs best when plugged in.
On top of the performance, the design is very sleek and clean. It looks premium and doesn’t feel bulky.
Overall, I absolutely love it. It’s a powerful, smooth, and well-balanced machine that feels like a true upgrade.

Strongpoints
-CPU
-4.4 lbs (lightweight)
-Gaming Laptop with 5060
-High Quality Build (Feels Premium)
-Looks Pleasing and Professional
Weaknesses
-Battery Life (All settings turned down for best battery life, getting around 4 Hrs)
-OLED Screen (Yet to be determined how long it can go without screen burn in)
-VRAM only has 8gb, thanks NVIDIA
Overall:
Not recommended for gaming. Go with a desktop with a 5060TI if you must game. Otherwise go 5070TI with 12gb VRAM is a must for a laptop. You spend so much money on a laptop, why get this computer? Get the 5070TI. The performance is way better. This or any computer shouldn't be something you buy for gaming with only 8gb VRAM. Modern games will eat that up causing you to lag. This computer is meant for a more professional stance. Lightweight and portable. It should have came with the 255H chip for more battery life. Hence why Lenovo decided to go this route for their next Gen 11 models. The HX chip is too powerful for a 5060. The combo doesn't complainment each other. The 255HX is a great chip though however. That will eat up any professional work. So if your an engineer student. This is a great laptop for you. If you need that extra Graphics card from NVIDIA this is a nice computer. But only on sale. I grabbed it for $1234 on sale. I will buy a Warranty with Lenovo. It's cheaper than Best Buys and make sure you buy Accidental Damage Protection as well. So you protect yourself from screen burn in problems. Like I said this computer isn't for everyone.

A Powerful, Smooth, and Stunning Gaming Laptop

The Lenovo Legion 7i is an outstanding gaming laptop that delivers top‑tier performance in a clean, professional design. The 2.5K OLED display is easily one of its best features—colors look rich, blacks are deep, and the high refresh rate makes everything feel incredibly smooth. Whether you’re gaming, editing, or streaming, the screen quality really elevates the experience.
Performance is excellent thanks to the Intel Ultra 7 255HX and RTX 5060 combo. Games run smoothly at high settings, multitasking is effortless, and the system stays responsive even under heavy workloads. It’s a great machine for both gaming and productivity, and the 32GB of RAM ensures everything runs without slowdown.
The build quality feels premium. The Glacier White finish looks sharp, and the laptop has a solid, durable feel without being overly bulky. The keyboard is comfortable, the trackpad is responsive, and the overall layout is easy to work with.
Battery life isn’t the strongest, but that’s expected for a laptop with this level of power and an OLED display. For plugged‑in gaming or creative work, it performs exceptionally well.
Overall, the Legion 7i is a fantastic choice for anyone who wants a powerful, visually stunning laptop that handles modern games and demanding tasks with ease. It’s fast, reliable, and absolutely worth recommending.

I bought this laptop for 3D Modeling and Game Engine work when I can't be at my main Desktop, and it performs great for both tasks! Games run phenomenally on it as well! It can easily reach 90+fps in most modern titles. However, I don't think I would recommend this over a Legion Pro if this is going to be your main Gaming PC. I haven't tried more graphically intense games or multiplayer games that usually require high framerates, but single player games are a treat to play on this machine. The OLED display is fantastic, and the 165hz really shows in single player games that don't require as much of your GPU.
I will note that the battery life isn't something to write home about. If I'm being conservative with my use, I can get about 3 hours at most before having to plug it in. However, I carry the charger with me most of the time, so that usually isn't a huge problem when I'm just commuting between classes or work.
Overall, this is a great laptop for a college student or "light" gamer, and it can handle professional tasks very well!

Super Cool Laptop, powerful, and super high quality. Just for reference, I was able to run native resolution Maxed out settings on Fortnite (as a general Test) and it stayed around 120 fps on balance mode after loading in (it was plugged in so I dont know if it gets affected but still), for a LAPTOP thats pretty good in my eyes running for a 2.5k screen resolution.
I liked the design and even though most of the shell is plastic, it felt premium. Not only does it feel premium, the weight and thickness is super low comparing it to other laptops, a lot less than other 5000 gpu series laptops. I bought this looking for a laptop that uses most if not all of the gpu since others throttle, and I did a bit of research, this apperently uses all of the gpu (unlike other options that use the 5070 but throttles preformance down to fit wattage and temperature requirements.)
If you want a sleek, powerful, and great overall laptop, this one is it
She may be a little power hungry though, Im wouldnt be suprised though considering the hardware, I didnt plan on using this without the charger being nearby anyways, battery seems to be like 1 minute per percentage on google, having sd cards and such connnected, and like 40 seconds per percent on fortnite (it keeps it at 60 fps)
bring the charger!

Great laptop. Fast, great screen and runs everything I’ve thrown at it. Just wish it had 16gb vram instead of 8gb for longevity. This has been my second Lenovo gaming laptop and I have been impressed by both.

Powerful laptop in a gorgeous white finish that is remarkably resistant to fingerprints. Stunning OLED display at 165Hz, powered by the RTX 5060 with a TDP of 115W, so it outperforms most other 5060 laptops. The Core Ultra 7 is a worthy CPU that won't leave you bottlenecked. Lastly, the laptop is deceptively thin and light for a 16" gaming laptop and also serves nicely in a creator capacity. Relatively quiet and decent battery life, keeping in mind the gaming context. Worth a purchase, especially if you can snag this at a BB sale price.

At the time I got this, it was on sale at a good discount compared to its retail price with specs that could not be beaten at that price. So far, the performance has been great with any game that I've thrown at it. The screen is also very impressive.
Lenovo is considered one of the top brands out there for laptops based on multiple reviews read; and in particular this model. The White color is also quite sharp.
If I could make one knock against it, the battery life could be better. This is to be expected for a machine with a dedicated GPU. However, it can be improved by adjusting the settings for whisper mode from what is set by default. There are a few guides online that can help with that.

My wife loves the size, weight, performance for work tasks, crisp display, and especially the keyboard feel plus she can make the keys purple. One issue i did have with the laptop right out of the box was with the mediatek wifi adapter. Everytime i restarted the laptop i would have to reconnect to the wifi no matter which connection 2.4/5/6 ghz band. I even wiped the system and reinstalled windows with same results. Finally after finding newer drivers for mediatek via the Asus rog forums ive had no issues like described. Minus the wifi driver issue its been a great laptop so far and a happy wife is a happy life.

This laptop is a huge upgrade over my previous, which was still too new to actually do a trade-in with. Kudos to Lenovo for offering this beauty and kudos to Best Buy for having the best available price for it! I have the cached ram set to erase every hour or so and I have 0 issues with my complex work or with any game. Battery is not good, but what do you expect from a computer pushing out 4k to the oled display and running as well as this does?

Hi JonathanA-
Thank you for choosing Lenovo and sharing your experience with us. We are happy to hear that you are enjoying the performance and product design of the Legion 7i. We aim to offer great user experience and would love the opportunity to provide some actions you can take to improve your battery life.
Firstly, we recommend running and installing all available drivers updates through Lenovo Vantage and Windows Update Settings, these updates are crucial to the device’s health and will affect power regulation leading to improved battery life. To check for updates within Lenovo Vantage begin by launching the application, then select the “Check for updates” button on the top of the right-hand of the display. To check for Windows Updates, start by launching the Settings app, then selecting the Windows Update tab on the left-hand side of the page, finally select the “Check for updates’ button located in the top right of the page.
Secondly, the Legion 7i allows you to change the computer’s thermal mode. This will allow your device to cycle between higher performance, quiet, or automatically adjust based on your needs. To start, launch the Lenovo Space app, Under the CPU and GPU Performance gauges you will find the option to toggle performance profiles. We suggest using Quiet mode which will lower the temperature of your Legion 7i when under load and improve battery consumption. You can also toggle thermal modes simply with the Fn+Q hotkey.
The Legion 7i also includes the option of controlling the “GPU Working Mode”. You can find this within Legion Space, just below the Thermal Profile modes from the previous step. This allows your device to switch between the integrated GPU and discrete GPU. By switching modes, you can enhance battery life through the Hybrid-iGPU Only Mode which will lower the power draw of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 graphics card or enhance performance with dGPU Mode which will enhance display performance.
Please reach out to us through the Q & A section of this product page if you have any questions or need any assistance.
Best wishes, Lenovo

This is my first Lenovo. I have no complaints with the laptop. The setup and everything associated with it went smoothly. I just wish it included touch screen capabilities. If you can live without touchscreen, this computer is great!
