Screen Break Easily

My main issue is that it wasn’t a natural 2560x1440 resolution but a 2560x1600 instead but the main reason I am writing this is because my mouse usb part got inbetween my keyboard and screen and broke it. It’s made me genuinely depressed because of my financial situation but it would be unfair to give this 1 star.

It’s a beautiful computer, I’ll give it that but it black screened on me 2 minutes after first startup. Where I thought it was just idling during the updates, was actually a dead screen. It would only work on an external monitor and after many failed attempts of hard restart & resetting the graphics card, I gave up. For the price I paid, I didn’t bother calling guest services. Instead I chose to return the item.

We understand your perspective, and since we strive to provide the best experience possible, we'd like to work with you to try to improve your experience by sharing some tips and insights on battery.
To start, regarding your issue with battery – as you may know there are lots of variables that contribute to battery and in gaming laptops that can increase even more due to their high-powered processors and graphics cards. If you want to squeeze out more battery life and are completing non-intensive graphics tasks, you can utilize the MUX switch built into this model to turn off the dedicated GPU to greatly decrease power draw. This can be done in the Lenovo Vantage app > top right box > GPU working mode, then choosing your preferred method. Users can also take advantage of the keyboard shortcut, Fn + Q to toggle thermal modes and easily switch between prioritizing battery life or power, or even the best of both words, along with custom settings configurable in Lenovo Vantage. You could also press the Fn + R key combo to toggle to a lower refresh rate for even greater power conservation.

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to like it and keep it however this model kept restarting on me seemingly only on battery and also seemingly only while in use on my lap.. so it seemed like it was unable to throttle down fast enough while more air was being blocked from having it in my lap ?? or the battery wasn't strong enough to properly power the machine or what was being demanded of it .. ? mind you this was not even while gaming just browsing. I'm not sure what was causing it but it was brand new and fully charged so I took it back. maybe the processor generation was too old no idea.

I got the open box model for a great deal just to play Gears of War on the go and this thing delivers. For me I’m not so concerned with battery life because wherever I use my laptop I have an outlet anyways
