Great microwave gets food hot quick and not noisy like others

The microwave is very nice looking in my kitchen. The inside is a little dark as I'm used to white rather than dark gray. The buttons are harder to push than normal. I also wish there were 2 settings on the night light like my old microwave.

just received my microwave a few days ago and I love how sleek it looks. I'm very pleased with the installation and purchase thus far. I've only had it a few days, as stated above, but I don't think I'll have any regrets.

That is kinda a contradiction but when I run the microware the fan is a little noisy. This works like any other microwave but the reheat button is great. I do not have to keep adding time when I use the reheat button. So far food is always hot and not over cooked.

So far, it has been a welcome addition. Much quieter than my old one and just a few less functions. For some reason the buttons are not as responsive as I would expect, but we will just press harder and keep heating away.

Cooks well. Numbers on the panel are difficult to read unless in bright light. The grey on black prints is not a good option. This is true on all LG products.

Nice looking microwave. Works great so far, has lots of options

We selected this model because it has a timer that can be used separately from cooking. There are other models that have no independent timer. We like the interior since the slick gray color doesn't show every spot and it is easy to clean. Looks great and works fine. Installation was a challenge because the mounting bolts were so close to the side edges of the upper wood cabinet. Had to remove a cabinet reinforcement block.

This LG microwave was a replacement for another. It does a fine job and has 1000wats available for warming or cooking. However, I gave it only 3 stars because it is noisy (the fan). I would recommend it if your finances are tight. It does work well.

Installing it was easy and it works fine as a microwave

I purchased an LG range and a matching otr microwave (LMV1831SS). I had the MW installed by a contractor 2 weeks later. The microwave didn't work out of the box: key pad was the issue, some buttons didn't work. (you can hardly see them as many reviewers note, but we are not even there yet.) the part has been backordered and we will get a new keypad when LG gets around to supplying it. I asked them to just send me a new microwave that worked and have it installed (which it needs because it is connected to a vent that goes outside). I got a run-around from the customer service people that LG has a "protocol" they have to follow and could not just replace it. So, I have no working microwave and don't know when I will. So much for buying any LG product if their products have such poor quality control. And the return period has expired. I still have no idea when I will have a working one as no one can tell me. As others have noted, the vent is very loud, the keypad hard to read (particularly if it is across from a window that is reflected on it), and the down light is pathetic if you need it (we do not, but others might.) I wonder when i will be able to say whether the MW is otherwise good, or not?

you really have to push the keypad buttons hard to function. Basic quick features do not exist on this model. I will most likely go to a higher model next year. This is quite the bare bones model with a couple perks. My fault

A very good quality over-the-range microwave. I was looking for something in black stainless to reduce the appearance of greasy finger tips. This matched the LG gas range we had purchased 2 years earlier, right down to the handle style for the door. I don't know why manufacturers can't get together to standardize wall mounts and overhead screw locations. Since this was a replacement, I had to do that all over again. I've got 3 set of holes now in the wood cabinets this is mounted under. The control layout was similar to my last unit, which was a plus. For function, it cooks well and the fan loudness is average. I knocked off a star because the lighting beneath it is a single bulb and just a little better than a night-lite in terms of brightness. My last unit had dual bulbs and both were much brighter, lighting up the stove top and and adjacent countertops very well.
