Ok ac unit when it works

It seems to do an ok job cooling but it cannot keep my 500 square foot attic office below 85 +degrees on 90-95 degree days. The WiFi performance is quirky, working, not working, and working again. The time scheduler function in the app doesn’t seem to work. I can only schedule when it comes on OR turns off based on x hours from when I am trying (not times, just elapsed time) but not both. And now, two months after purchasing it will no longer turn on. I have been waiting for a week for Lg to be able to schedule service. I am now very much regretting this purchase. Ps and the first unit delivered was damaged so I had to brave returning during COVID shutdown. Save $200 and buy another model. This isn’t worth the price.

Any time this unit is powered on, the fan runs whether or not it is warm enough for the compressor to turn on. I can't turn it on and leave the house with the hopes it will kick on if the weather warms up, because the fan will run non stop. I called the manufacturer and they said this is how the unit operates, the fan runs regardless of whether it's producing cool air. I can't stand the noise of the fan running unnecessarily, I cannot turn it on while sleeping, and it's a huge waste of electricity. I've never owned an air conditioner that has to have a fan running if it's powered on. I wish I had thoroughly tested it before the return window had passed. I'm so disappointed I wasted my money on this thing.

The bottom of the box had already been cut all the way around it as if it had already been opened. I had to turn the unit on it's side to be able to get in the door and up the stairs, or it would have fallen out. I have had the unit a month and I will honestly say my cheaper $300 unit cooled my room better than this more expensive one. Truly disappointed.

Honestly, it did not cool down our 500sq foot room as well as we'd hoped. It's also pretty loud as well. We ended up swapping it for an LG in wall unit that's working much better than a this portable unit did. However, I did like the wifi options, it was a nice touch.

Don't expect it to cool your garage in the summer time. Set at 80 degrees it can run all day and be lucky to reach 82. Probable better off with a window unit for that application. Probably will do well with an interior room during an extended power outage. The app works well for controls.
