My wife and I just bought a brand-new construction as our first home. We looked at going to an energy efficient washer because this house rated as an energy-efficient home. This is a great user friendly washer that comes with a great service program. This program entails simply calling the customer service number provided & holding up your cell phone to the washer while it detects audible transmission codes they can tell you if your washer is broken, in need of maintenance or perhaps just simply push a few knobs and fix the problem yourself and that gives great peace of mind. Thus far the quality has been excellent.

I wanted one of these for sometime now and decided to get this when on sale, glad I did.. It can do double the loads my old one did, and with less water..

When I moved in to a new home with my boyfriend and our three-year-old twin girls in July of last year, we had a really old top loading washing machine. I won't mention the brand; I have nothing against them the machine was just getting old. Anyway, the machine was my nemesis and worst nightmare. Seriously, most often there would be water left in the tub and my clothes would be soaking wet (I think the water pump was wearing out) and I would have to rerun the spin cycle to attempt to drain the water, which it never really did a good job of. That led to longer dry times and a more expensive gas/electricity bill each month. Another problem was using fabric softener. The machine had a dispenser for softener on the agitator that should’ve distributed the softener during the 1st spin cycle, so it would be in the tub for the rinse cycle. This feature failed to work 60% of the time, so I opted for a Downey ball to get the job done. Well that failed 100% of the time. I have never had a Downey ball fail to open before and couldn’t figure it out, so I tested it in a friend’s machine and it worked just fine. Ahhhhh, this machine was getting on my last nerve, and it took me all weekend to get my wash done. It was like “sorry, girls we can’t play moms stuck in the basement fighting with the darn washing machine so we can have a sorry excuse for clean cloths”. That was the last straw. I spent a week or so reading reviews and pricing new machines, obviously this one passed my scrutiny and I found that BestBuy was the best value with the added bonus of free delivery and setup as well as BestBuy Rewards which was like getting money back. My Machine arrived a few days later and was set up while I was at work. I spent 7 hours daydreaming anxiously awaiting to get home and see my new machine in action. When I got home I headed straight for the basement and there in the corner was a stunning sight my new washing machine. I quickly added the load I preselected the night before to be the maiden load, added my detergent, fabric softener, and scent beads to their assigned compartments, turned the machine on and was welcome with a pleasant little jingle. I took a seat on the floor in front of this beauty and hit the start button. First the machine’s drum began to turn to the left and the right in short intervals tumbling the clothes, which was fun to witness, this was the load sensing technology weighing the load to determine water amount and the time it would take to complete, 104 was displayed. I sat there perched on the floor watching the machine as it added the water in short little bursts and suds began forming as my clothes tumbled round ‘n’ round in the drum. My twins came over and looked at me strangely and ask “mommy, what’s ya doin?” I told them and they joined me there on the floor. They laughed and loved to look through the window and identify their clothes when they tumbled past and disappear only to reveal another colorful article of theirs they could watch. There the three of us sat through the entire load. I was hoping the machine would get the clothes clean, especially a blankie that belonged to one of my girls that went with her everywhere. This blanket was once off-white with little flowers. Its current condition upon entering the machine was dire, and resembled a dingy rag to say the least. At last the machine was in its final spin, and then another pleasant jingle much like the first rang through my basement. It was time to inspect the clothes before putting them into the dryer. I opened the door when the lock released and emptied the contents into a basket. I rummaged around the contents and found what I was looking for the precious blankie and…. It was astounding; I couldn’t believe my eyes it was almost restored to its original condition. My daughter immediately snatched it from me and said “mama you clean it!” she was overjoyed and I was amazed. I looked at the other garments in the basket and all of them looked great, my clothes were finally going to be clean. I would recommend this washer to anyone I am in love. Another added bonus I discovered as the first few weeks passed was the condition of my skin. I have really sensitive skin and I believe now that the reason for that and the little irritation bumps I was experiencing was caused by my old washing machine not rinsing the clothes properly thus causing the problems I was having with my skin. Now all of that is a thing of the past. I couldn’t be happier this was a great definitely long awaited, well-needed investment that I am thrilled I made.

When our old, top-loading washer began to fail, we started looking for a new one. We knew we wanted a front-loader simply for the fact that it washes clothing better while using a lot less water. When we stumbled across this LG when it was on sale for $599, it was a no-brainer. The build quality is great. It washes clothing very quickly and was no problem at all to balance. When it's done with its cycle, it also sings to you to let you know its done. Another great feature is its self-diagnostic button. If something is wrong with the washer, all you have to do is call LG customer service and press this button. The washer will then play a specific tone and the tech is able to figure out immediately what is wrong and how to fix it over the phone. We haven't had to use this yet nor do we expect to, but it is a great feature to have. The only down side is that it isn't quite large enough to handle a king-sized comforter. We did a queen in it that barely fit, but a king is a no-go. We aren't concerned about this becaise there is a laundry service just down the street when we need it. We couldn't be happier with the washer and expect to get many good years of service from it.

I had an old top loading GE washing machine that came with the purchase of my first house. It seemed to be getting clothes cleaned but I knew it would just be a matter of time before it stopped working. I starting researching new top-loading washing machines but with so many choices, options, good reviews versus bad reviews I was overwhelmed. The GE washing machine eventually stopped and I stumbled across the LG at my local Best Buy. It was an opened box item with a few scratches but came with a full warranty. I paid $499 for the machine and am extremely happy. After the first load of wash, I was shocked to see how clean my clothes came out. It made me wonder how dirty my clothes were using the old GE machine. The LG washer has several options, an easy to use control panel, is super quiet and spins clothes to near dryness. I am extremely pleased with the purchase and hope it will last as long as the old GE machine it replaced.

Very pleased with its performance. Simple to operate. Cleans clothes well even with cold water. Stays balanced when spinning. I like the larger door and the tilt of the drum makes it easy to get clothes in and out. This is just a good all around machine with not a lot of unnecessary features that you pay for and end up not using. I highly recommend this washer!

Very happy with this appliance. I bought it almost a month ago and am still in love. It is very quiet, easy to use, holds lots of clothes and spins them until they're almost completely dry. I searched around quite a bit and for the price, this is by far the best washer I could find.

We bought this washer as a replacement for an LG that quit working after 9 years. It does a great job, very efficient, can do large quantities at once. It offers a lot of versatility and cycles are shorter than our previous washer, washing is well done. The only thing I wish it had is a sanitizing cycle, but I don't use it that much, so it only warrants loss of one star.

So far so good. I have only had the machine for about a month and I wash at least 4-5 loads on the weekend. It gets stains out, washes quietly enough, and spins the clothes out fast so you don't have to dry the Clothes for a long time in the dryer. I like the compartment where you pour in the liquid soap. It is better than the old model because it gets to be dilluted and drained into your load. In the old model u poured directly on a little space for detergent and you would end up having soap dry up on that part of the machine.

We chose this LG washing machine based on purchaser/user reviews, consumer reporting agency reviews, energy-saving features, and price. There was a "last item, open box" sale on this particular machine that prompted our final decision to buy it. I had a 14-year old front-loading Maytag washer that I really liked, which needed repair and (at the proposed cost for those repairs) had to be replaced. The LG washer DOES wash clothes excellently in very little water. It spins water out much more than any top-loading washer (as my Maytag also did), although it has left loads of blue jeans a bit more heavily wet than I had expected. It has washed dirty work clothes very well, and handles large items like blankets and bedspreads just fine. Negative features or problems: The door does NOT open easily; it has a very stiff latching mechanism and I have to use both hands to pull it open, which can't be normal and is probably a manufacturing glitch on (hopefully) just a few machines. Doors on similar washers in the stores opened easily. You'd think this door was locked every time you try to open it. The digital cycles and controls are easily to use, as advertised, but there's no option to just "spin" a load, such as when the clothes are still heavy with water when a regular wash-&-spin cycle finishes (as several loads of blue jeans were). They needed another good spin -- but you can't do it, you have to totally wash, rinse and spin the load again. The LG washer is NOT available in your choice of door-opening hinge position, like my former Maytag was. So your laundry room must be designed to hold a washer with a left-hinged door. You can't even special-order one with a reversed/reversible hinge. I understand this as an economical manufacturing decision (making different hinge-position doors costs more, and what if you don't sell the "other" hinged door and are stuck with the inventory), but it does limit how a consumer can use the machine. The unchangeable left-hinged door puts my washer in a dead-end corner where my wonderful old Maytag happily worked (with a right-hinged door) for so many years. I loved having the door hinge on the RIGHT. Another "iffy" problem: We just can't get this machine leveled. My husband is a handyman fix-it kind of person, and he has tried leveling it for weeks -- to no avail. The machine still vibrates strongly and shakes the floor (and the floor in the next room) when it spins a heavy load. So I'm not storing any china or glassware in the laundry room cabinets. Overall for the price, especially since we got it on sale, I'd recommend this machine. But I wouldn't buy another one if I could have gotten a different manufacturer's model with the right-hand door-hinge that I wanted, or if I could have gotten another machine just like my old Maytag. This machine is good but I still miss my Maytag.

It holds large loads, seven bath towels came out very clean, and my whites came out very white. The clothes come out almost dry from the washer which greatly reduces the dryer time, saving energy. It does try to walk across the floor from the vibration of the drum spinning, so I placed a washer tray under it and that keeps it to a minimum, and also prevents the feet from digging into my new soft-vinyl floor.

This washer has all the necessary cycles and then some. It is energy efficient, quiet to run, and best of all it's easy on the wallet. I have a family of six and average two loads per day. It is so easy to use that my kids are fighting over who gets to do the laundry.

I love this washer, first at all it weights your clothes and decides how much water is needed (no water gets wasted!), is silent and the clothes are really cleaned! LG is just the best for washing machine!

This is a great washer at a low price. We found that Consumer Reports rated it as high as some of the highest priced washers with noise and vibration being its weakness. The vibration is a little excessive, but certainly not overly noticeable. We notice as we are in an older wood framed home on blocks. I don't think we would notice the vibration and certainly not the noise in a slab home. It washes great, uses very little water and can handle a much larger load than we (3 adults, 1 toddler) have thrown at it in the two weeks we have had it. I would purchase it again.

This washer has done an excellent job. Gets stains out, handles large loads, lots of settings. The main complaint my friends have had about front loaders is a smell coming from machine. This will happen if you don't follow the cleaning and maintenance directions. But if you follow these directions and don't leave your laundry in the washer for an extended period, this is a great washer. I couldn't be happier with performance.

Was hesiitant to purchase this new style tumbler washer but am glad I did since it has surprised me in ease of operation, cleaning ability, large heavy load efficiency, all while being energy and water efficient.

This LG is more than I expected. I'm a fan of LG to begin with. Any LG I've owned has longevity. I LOVE the options on this model and it purrs through a load. It weighs the load, so no water is wasted. It looks good and it's smarter than I am. That says a lot. :) One thing I like about this front loader that's different than others, is the ability to open the door after you have already started the laundry to add another item, just by pausing and pulling the door lightly and it unlocks. I hang dry all my clothes. Not because I don't have a dryer but because I care so much about the colors and elasticity. Love it!

This was bought as a direct replacement for a LG washer whose tub bearing failed. The cost of the repair was close to the replacement cost so we decided to buy this new model. We have a stacked setup with an LG gas dryer . The old unit performed well until it failed. We use it a lot. We like the way the old one performed so we purchased the newer model. We like the features on the new unit . The price was very good and the delivery process was very good. We are happy with the overall performance so far . I am not sure why the bearing failed and I'm not sure if it was a design flaw or if we overloaded the machine or a combination of both . Lots of discussion on the net as to the reasons. This machine looks to be well made.
