NEVER AGAIN WITH LG BRAND
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the LG - 43" Class - LED - LJ550M Series - 1080p - Smart - HDTV 3 years ago. At first everything seemed to be fine. Starting recently, within the past year or so, I get these constant interruptions while watching TV: "This app will now restart to free up memory." I would never buy another LG TV again. This is very annoying. I've been reading about this on blogs and such regarding the exact same problem. Tech support is useless. Customer Service is useless. Apparently, this is a major flaw and nothing can be done. All that can be done is to turn off the tv, unplug it, press the on / of button on the TV remote for so many seconds, then plug TV back in and turn back on. This annoying message still comes up after a period of time while watching a program and you have to go through the whole routine again. My next purchase will definitely NOT be LG brand. :Very disappointed. :(

I have to wait 2 weeks for your repairman/geek squad to come to repair it. I gave it one star only because the picture is very clear.

Doesn't last
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TV was pretty good for about 3.75 years, then the back light (LED strips) went out. Had sound but no picture. We had a warranty for 3 years. The cost to fix it made the TV not worth it. Googled the issue and there's a lot out there about LG's and the back light going out. So get the 5 year warranty unless you want a throw-away TV in about 3-4 years
