This is the first new washing machine I've purchased (along with a dryer) and it's extremely nice; definitely a wise investment. The machine has a large load capacity, multiple washing mode selections via the control dial and touch panel; a locking glass hood (which engages after you've made your selections and started the machine); the machine uses water efficiently; it's very quiet; and the drive motor has a 10 year manufacturers warranty. There's also an app available for setting custom programs and timers if you're into that. My only negative is that I wish the wording for the washing selections on the touch panel were backlit. Otherwise it's a great machine and worth the money.

Bought matching LG set of washer/dryer and both are top notch units. This washer saves $ with lower water usage versus my previous model. Love the large capacity and multiple wash cycles . Highly recommended!

This washer does everything I need it to do and then some. Being a pseudo techie...I love the ability of having an mobile phone app to view the progress of wash cycle. I caught a nice deal by price matching with a Best Buy competitor

Purchased LG model 7200 Top Load Washer from very knowledgeable sales associate after asking numerous questions and competitive a great price that included delivery, required hoses for the washer and setup. Two friendly, highly qualified members from the GEEK Squad delivered the machine, carefully moving the it into place, installed it and tested it while they showed me the basics of the machine. I am very happy with our purchase from Best Buy!

This LG washer looks solid. The drum is deep and doesn’t wiggle unlike our old one. Clothes come out smelling as it should depending on the detergent used. So far so good.

I came into the store and talked about what I needed and how I used a washing machine. The sales people took me straight to this washer. It is perfect, washes our clothes really fast.

lots of inside condensation inside lid I had to wipe it down after every load. Even on a Luke warm temperature the condensation was bad it got out around the lid. Clothes didn’t wash well and smelled stale. Cycles were way too long and results were way too poor. I bought it after reading great reviews, but returned it. The only good thing was how quiet it was. Don’t waste your money......I’m glad Best Buy took it back. It only looks cool, but the performance is horrible. And I had bought the same machine from Sears and returned it too before I went to Best Buy. I’ve had the same issues with the other one.

The agitator disk broke and came off after only 5 weeks of use. The disk has a plastic spline that mates to the metal drive spline. The plastic spline stripped out. This is not a fluke but a design flaw in the unit. Buyer beware.

We bought this washer in combination with the dryer. The panel is easy to use, although it can be a bit confusing at first (touching it is somewhere between buttons and a screen, so it feels a bit off the first few times). It cleans properly, even when you put it on delicate or cold. It also rinses very well, much better than the cheap one we used to have. What I like very much compared to the one we used to have, is that this one does a short test-cycle, wherein it makes sure the load is even enough during spins, and weighs what you have. It seems to determine the number of minutes based on that, so sometimes it will go down a lot, sometimes it will go up. I am also pretty sure it rinses longer if the weight is higher, and when you put it on bedding. It is also soooo much more quiet than the average washer. The test cycle does sound weird as it does certain drum motions for balance before going all-out into spinning. I definitely appreciate that it tests first, so it can warn us if it's not balanced enough. We have not had that pop up, yet, though. The drum is also plenty large for a queensize bedding, and I am pretty sure that a kingsize could fit in there as well. We have a beautiful quilted blanket that is between queen and king, and it fits in there without a problem. It also makes sure excess moisture has drained before you take it out, due to its dry spinning cycles. Compared to our previous cheap one, our clothes are not soaked when we put them in the dryer, but are just moist. It can connect to wifi through your tablet or smartphone (and warn you when its finished). Once it has connected, it stays connected and sends the info to the app on its own, even when you are not in the neighborhood. I use their signals to add up the times we used it, and then I can see how much electricity it uses compared to our previous older one.

we decided to go with a top load to quit having to deal with the smell from front loaders (even if you try to treat for it). we used 2 front loaders for the past 12 years. this unit is quiet and efficient. it is a 5.0 size and to be honest we feel like it holds more than our 5.4 front loader did. you certainly dont feel like you are overloading it at all. the controls are simple to use. highly recommend it if you want a top loader.

I wanted a high efficiency washer to save on water and electricity. This one certainly uses less water and the extra high spin removes a lot of water from the clothes which helps reduce drying time in my electric dryer; thus, saving electricity.. It holds A LOT of clothes, but I do not fill it up because my dryer cannot hold all of them. I did not get the matching dryer since my old one is still working. But the clothes take a long time to dry because there are so many that it fills my dryer to the top. After the first couple of loads like that, I started to wash smaller loads. And this is still saving water because the machine adjusts the amount of water needed to wash just what you've put in. If you are used to a standard washer, this type of HE washer certainly does not wash the same at all. It senses/weighs the clothes before filling, then adds some water. It does this several times while in the wash cycle. Some reviews stated that the machine didn't add enough water, but I have found that it does, but it just takes it a long time because it doesn't do it all at once. There is also a Water Plus button to where extra water can be added, if you want. It takes much longer to wash; a normal cycle takes 90 minutes. I like how each cycle can be adjusted for various levels of soil and spin speeds, etc.. There is a Fabric Softener button to optimize the fabric softener effectiveness. I don't understand why that wasn't done as a default setting...who would want to minimize its effectiveness? Even so, with the Fabric Softener feature activated, it still does not do as good a job softening the clothes as my previous standard washer did. I like the automatic dispensing of detergent, bleach and softener. It was always difficult to remember to add those manually. The automatic drain is a good safety feature, but when I had to stop the washer and search for coins that I forgot to remove from a pocket, it drained before I could find them. Then I didn't know how to get more water back into the machine since the directions do not explain that. It eventually added more water later, but I added a few gallons of water myself with a bucket because I was afraid the wet clothes would be damaged without any water in the machine when it started agitating again. I like the WiFi capability where I can see how much time is left on the cycle from my smartphone and I can even start the machine remotely, if I need to. It's a good machine and has worked well so far. But I've only had it for a month.

Very Nice Washer so far works well. This saves energy costs water, electric and in drying the clothes comes out almost completely dry. Also likes how it tells you when the clothes will be finished. I have recommended it to other people and they did purchase. I should sell these washers I love it sooo much. Even Purchased for a Rental Property!!!!! Also highly rated from Consumer Reports that's why I purchased them

After reading all the reviews and talking to a relative who has this washer and another relative who is a customer service rep, I decided on this model.to replace a leaking 12 year old large capacity Maytag. The capacity of the LG is much greater than our old Maytag. The cleaning ability of the LG is excellent and our water bill has decreased .Liquid detergent works best. One negative is that due to the depth of the tub you may have difficulty reaching the bottom if you are under 5'4" I am very happy with this washer.

I’ve had my washer for a few weeks now and couldn’t be happier. The options for the different cycles make it easy to customize for specific needs. I haven’t experienced ANY of the negatives that I’ve seen in other reviews (they are easily corrected by reading the manual). The large capacity makes it easy to save on loads of wash per week. Washing bedding is an easy task now! I’m no longer dealing with the many hassles of a front loader. Even my husband (a retired engineer) who is not interested in the finer points of laundry is impressed with the engineering that went into the development of this product.

My previous washer was a Whirlpool Duet Front Loader that I bought 6 yrs ago. I was a little hesitant at first going back to a top loader. But my research on HE top loaders and their overall lower price convinced me to give it a chance. This LG model was “recommended” on Consumer Reports and has a huge 5 cubic feet capacity. My previous duet front loader was 3.8 cubic feet capacity. I love my new washer because it is so much easier to load and holds A LOT more. Consumer Reports rated it average on quietness, but I think it’s great. We had a great experience with the Geek Squas delivering it and installing it (was free with our purchase). So glad we used them because within the first few loads it was making a horrible sound on spin cycle. I took a video of the sound and went back to Beat Buy the next day. They agreed it was faulty, and had it replaced in just a few days. It turns out that a piece of the styrofoam packaging on the underside of the unit had gotten stuck in it when they installed it and was burning out the motor. But the Best Buy and Geek Squad staff were all so professional and friendly and apologetic. Mistakes happen sometimes and we all understand that. They were all great to work with! I will continue to buy from Beat Buy because of their excellent customer service.

I had a Maytag top load that lasted about 20 years. Unfortunately, it finally gave up the fight and I needed to get a new washer pronto! Anyways, the reviews on the Maytag top loader was not great and I was concerned that the door hit the knob when you opened it and I could see that over a number of years that could be a real problem. My experience with Samsung appliances has been horrible so I decided to go with this LG unit. Here are my impressions - The sucker can hold a huge amount of clothes Another benefit is it is extremely quiet! It has a cool door that you can watch your clothes swirling around inside. Now for the complaint - it doesn’t get clothes clean! My wife ends up having to hand clean anything with a food stain etc on it, because it does not clean nearly as well as that old Maytag did. My only other complaint is that the tub is a little deep for my wife to reach to the bottom. I think that the loss of the beater in the middle is maybe part of the issue, but the main function of a washer is to get your clothes clean and this one doesn’t do a great job. I would recommend you maybe look for a model with a beater as it may do a better job.

I had my doubts when I looked inside the tub of this washer and didn't see an agitator, but it works great. The clothes come out clean. The large capacity can handle family sized loads, it's easy to use, and it's way more efficient than my old washer. What more could I want. I am happy with my purchase and would recommend this washer to my family and friends.

Easy to use. Very big tub I can get a lot of bath towels and washcloths in one load. Everything comes out smelling really clean. I do use the extra rinse a lot. I think that helps things smell better. I think this is the best washer I have ever had. I can get my washing done a lot faster now because the tub holds so much. I am 5' 7" and I can reach the bottom of tub with my fingertips. Short people might have trouble reaching the bottom of the tub.
