LG series 8; 55” TV nanocell. Picture is as good if not better than any others I considered and was at the bottom of my budget. I was looking at $1k sets so for $599 I am a happy guy. The LG magic remote is awesome

TV has a great picture and lots of extras. Easy to set up and use. Crystal clear images even with older movies. Far exceeds my expectations and at a great value cost wise.

I recently replaced all three TV's in our house as part of a home renovation project. I bought an LG OLED, 55 inch, for the basement home theater and an LG OLED 65 inch for the family room over the fireplace, We needed a 55 inch TV to mount on the wall in the bedroom, but I could not see spending the money for an OLED display just to watch news programs for a few minutes in the morning, so I bought this NanoCell model for the bedroom. It's has a great picture, and if I were not comparing it to the OLED technology, I would give it five stars. Excellent picture. Built in Smart TV interface is OK. Since I only have LG TV's I don't know how the LG interface compares to other brands. If you are going to watch 4K content and want the best possible picture, then an LG OLED TV will produce a better picture. But if you don't want to spend 2.5 times the money for OLED technology, this is a great value, and you won't go wrong. It's a huge upgrade over the 10 year old LCD TV that it replaced. Very pleased.

Vivid, crisp colors and at a low cost. Matched automatically to soundbar without any configuration. A lot of online features, bloatware, privacy settings need to be removed to make sure no tracking.

Went from a 1080p to 4k Nano. I chose the nano over the OLED because I read the nanocell for LG and Quantum dots for Samsung have longer life than OLEDS. I expect to use the TV for a long time. It's a great upgrade where the black are blacker than my 1080p LCD/LED TV, forgot which. It also uses only 1/5th the energy. Pictures are sharp. Sounds are loud enough for me even at level 12 or 13. People say there are light leaks and the black parts are grayish when watched in the dark. I usually don't watch TV in the dark, as it's bad for the eyes. I did tried the black in the dark room and indeed the black looks grayish instead of black like it used to, but it don't bothers me much in my case.

So far this tv has been great. Colors are very vibrant. It has the magic remote, it takes a little getting use to, it is very sensitive to movement. I have cable, so I don't use it often.

I honestly didn't do much research on this TV before I bought it. I just knew it was one of LGs more premium TVs and I missed having one. I've never had an LG smart TV slow down on me. I love almost everything about it. But there is one strange thing I've been noticing. Whenever I'm on a black screen, say a loading screen for a game, I notice that only the side of the TV where the loading logo is lights up. I'm not sure if that's some kind of special feature of the TV, but it makes me think there is something wrong with it. I'm guessing its this Local Dimming thing, but i'm not sure. I want to go exchange this one for another one, but it's such a heavy TV to be doing that all over again.

Love it - so clear. Ok sound. Good quality. Only issue so far is the stand - the screen sort of leans forward. I check the ones out at the store and they do the same thing.

Great TV. The picture quality is clear. It's easy to use. The control can be sensitive and the sound is not the best. It's not loud enough. I use a sound bar when watching movies and certain shows. For the price, it's good though.

I bought this TV to replace a 65 inch Samsung that only lasted 5 years. The picture is outstanding, even better than Samsung's UHD models, in my opinion. I had previously purchased a smaller LG for my bedroom and was impressed with the picture quality and reliability. So I decided to replace the living room Samsung with this LG. To date this LG has exceeded expectations. I believe LG's reliability is superior to Samsung's. I reviewed consumer rankings prior to purchase and the ratings had Sony as the top TV. LG and Samsung were tied for second place.

Glad to have snagged this during the holiday sales. It might be hard to use for someone who is a bit more technologically illiterate. Otherwise, the picture is great, the price is right, and I enjoy the versatility of the programming.
