I purchased this TV mainly because I liked the TV Stand. I have my TV on a console and not hanging on the wall so I wanted a nice looking strand. BUT the TV is awesome. The TV I had before was 7 years old and doesn't have half of the features this TV has. It's super sleek looking and has a beautiful picture. I am very happy with it. My mom had to go out and buy one after she saw my TV. She loves her TV too and likes all of the features.

Large viewing angle, low glare, fast refresh rate, all at a price several hundred dollars lower than comparable televisions.

This is a really good value TV. I’ve experienced some light bleed in the corners but it’s not distracting, even in dark scenes. There is a bit of motion blur in fast-paced sports. If you’re a serious film addict, this isn’t your TV, as the contrast gets lost where bright and dark images are near each other. I bought it as a secondary TV in my basement. I have an OLED as my primary. It’s nowhere near as crisp as the primary, but it’s a great secondary screen for the kids, or watching multiple sports at the same time.

This television is excellent. The image quality is great. The screen brightness is also excellent. The only drawback I've seen is the sound. The sound has a sliding numeric scale onscreen as you raise and lower the volume. I honestly don't notice a difference between a setting like 20 and a setting like 50. It could be because the sound is bouncing off the wall from behind the television. The television could benefit from the addition of a sound bar.

So far so good. The picture is very nice. I just wish the Cable company didn't suck!!! Cable TV technology is way behind TV technology. This TV has a ton of bells & whistles & in time i am sure i will become efficient at using them. This is my first LG. I have had heard nothing but good things from other LG customers. I have always owned Sony & Samsung. Both have been bad experiences over the last 4 years. I am hoping this LG will be durable & not start experiencing screen issues , etc. after the one year warranty expires.

I'm happy with the TV overall but there are some challenges. 1) The channels change extremely slowly (probably connected to reception/antenna quality, based on what I've read); 2) The picture calibration options seem different on various inputs and it can be a bit hard to figure out how it works; 3) The base does NOT swivel. The picture is good; there doesn't seem to be any lag with real 120HZ; and the apps and smart features work well (Google, Apple, etc.). I'm not sure HDR is all that good and I've read at this price range it's to be expected. Overall, this is a good mid-range TV that handles my smart and streaming needs.

Picture quality is decent. The local array dimming on this TV has a really weird effect when compared to Sony's TV's, not good at all. When you have a completely dark scene, the screen glows around what's being displayed and is just distracting - I would just turn the feature off. Love the remote and built-in OS. I use the feature that allows you to use the TV as a bluetooth speaker alot. Highly recommended as a bedroom TV, but if you want this for a home theater you'll probably be disappointed.

Amazing depth, it almost looks 3D. The colors and, more importantly, the contrast are just striking. Good size, price and value and the TV speaker is fine, no need for external audio for most shows. This is my first TV since owning a really nice plasma screen and I must admit, I liked the plasma better. The sharpness of this picture is not as warm as the plasma.

When I went to Best Buy I was interested in a purchasing 48” tv . But after much discussion with the sales rep I realized that this LG Nano 55” Smart Tv was the best choice. I based my purchase on my desire for a screen that would make viewing DVDs an absolute pleasure. So glad I made this choice! And I was encouraged by friends to upgrade the audio with a great sound bar. My rep helped me make the appropriate choice.

Got this as an open box at quite a discount. Took a chance not knowing what the "minor defect" was. Turns out to be a 6 inch scratch or blur of sorts on the left side. It's only visible occasionally under certain conditions and I've learned to not see it. Other than that the LG is awesome. Amazing details and colors. Great applications. Personally I would not pay the full retail price but if you can afford it get one!
