    Don't have a problem

This was a great TV while it worked. Then a month later it turned off by itself and wouldn't turn back on. LG called third party service and they replaced the bad motherboard with another bad one. When I got it back it worked for 1 hour then the same thing happened. Not wanting the same experience with the same service shop, I took it 50 miles away to NYC where another third party service shop took over 2 weeks to pick it up and over 2 weeks to return it with gouges in the back and scratches on the screen. LG then informed me that the warranty did not cover scratches. I didn't put the scratches there though. Now I have a disfigured $2000 TV. If I had a problem with a Samsung or Sony they would have replaced the damaged unit with a new one then fixed the damaged one and sold it as refurbished. I will never buy another LG product.

I had thought I'd buy a Sony 4k and instead (likely due to friends having an LG TV - I bought the LG TV Installation was complicated - the Geek Squad has been back and thought they had fixed I moved the my other TV from the front room to the back office at an additional cost of $100.00 which I thought to be excessive as no new holes were drilled - only moved from its original spot to the mount already on the wall. Then as to the LG 4K, the picture is about 4-6 seconds behind the voice - so it's very frustrating for my wife who suffers from TBI and not much better for me - watching Wheel of Fortune - the letter comes up and the contestant says the letter about 2 seconds later - I've unplugged (as told my BBY staff upon my asking what to do - unplug and see if it comes together I have a smart remote - it's not much better - likely need a better review booklet to see what areas I can try Also the remote doesn't offer tuning or various bass values All in all - good people apparently doing their best - just not very good equipment to get the picture perfect - which of course is why I purchased this 4K unit Then I paid for the 5 year warranty - not sure how many other costs were associated - more for this - more for that - if I received a $500 discount - the extras were more than that - I'm sure Likely not coming back for more - I really hoped this to be a Best Buy!

Fantastic TV that died - TWICE

This is an incredible TV. The picture quality is ALMOST unbeatable with its perfect blacks. Just wish it could get brighter. HOWEVER... The first one I purchased died after only 2 days. It would not power up. The red light on the bottom was on, and when attempting to power on the TV, the light would flash a few times, the screen flashed with weird red lines for a split second followed by a clicking sound, then nothing. LG confirmed it was defective. So I returned it and got a replacement. All was good for a month, then the 2nd one did the EXACT SAME THING. I will say that the staff at my local Best Buy were awesome and very understanding when I brought the 2nd one back. Unfortunately, after this fiasco I had to give up OLED and instead got the Sony X930e which is awesome in its own right and has had no issues.

    Good/Bad

The Good- Great amazing picture and sound quality. The Bad- 13 months and the screen has dead pixels. The center of the screen has a four inch green/gray line going across. I'm pretty good with tech so I tested the picture across different inputs including a DVD and had the tv clean noise several times but the line is still there. This should not happen with a year old TV. Credit to LG- I called them to report the issue. They advised me that even though the warranty ran out they stand behind their product and they scheduled a repair guy to come out and fix or replace the TV. As a consumer, we want companies to stand behind their products and so far LG has done that with my problem. Hopefully this will be resolved soon and I will update this review.

My panel went bad at 18 months.

My 55" panel went bad at 18 months. The TV is useless and the company would not do anything. Make sure to buy an extended warranty from the retailer. LG doesn't stand behind their products. A corporate level supervisor told me "no man made product has an average lifespan." A person said this. Remember that the next time you see a 1 year warranty on a 3000 dollar piece of LG electronics.

Awesome picture, great for movies, fire looked like real fire. menus were weird but fast and easy to use. Loved this television till it crashed during use. would leave movies while watching and go to black screen. random time on that...checked settings turned off eco and timers. still did same thing. design flaw in this model. happened a lot after working for two weeks. went to Sony 900e and it had no such problem so far.

It sounds like we'll need to walk through some troubleshooting for your TV to see what is causing the picture to change to a black screen. Please head over to our support team via @LGUSSupport on Twitter so that we can dig into this a little more for you. ^CP LG

    2 Sets-Both Develop Horizontal Lines

    Posted

After reading reviews, I was pretty excited about these OLED TV's! First one I bought developed a horizontal line right in the center of the TV after only 3 days....Best Buy promptly replaced it with another set and it worked nicely for 2 weeks and then developed a horizontal line again! You would think a $1800 TV would not have this problem? I find it hard to believe, I am the only one who is experiencing this?

Do not buy any of the OLED. I bought one 6 months ago and it already has image burn in - ghosting. They said there is a tool to clear stuck pixels, it does not work. Also, the motion is NOT SMOOTH. There is a lot of jutter it makes watching action film unwatchable. The first scene in Rogue One when the ships flies across the screen was too fast for the tv to process so the ship seemed to flicker in and out of the screen.

    HDMI

Do not buy. Anything other than pcm through HDMI return (ARC) will be distorted. This happens with most all of the installed applications and even through a thumb drive. LG tell me that it is a known issues with no ETA on a fix...really!
