Great picture but had an issue within 6 weeks

The picture quality is terrific and the TV was easy to set up. I also liked the LG remote that came with the TV, The remote is simple to use and controls all the other components hooked up to the TV. Too bad we'll not be able to use the TV for some time. Unfortunately the screen developed an issue within 6 weeks of purchase. A whitish vertical line permanently appeared on the screen. It appears that an entire column of pixels is blown. It's under warranty so LG will repair the TV. The LG repair guys tells me he'll need to replace the panel (the heart of the TV). Which means I need to take down the TV, truck it over to the repair shop, wait for who knows how many weeks to get the replacement parts shipped and installed, pick up the repaired TV, truck it back to my house and re-install it. So no new LG OLED TV anytime soon. The TV is less than 6 weeks old and it's getting torn apart and re-built. Not exactly a new TV anymore. Because it's a new purchase, requires extensive repair, and I'll lose the TV for several weeks or more I asked both LG and Best Buy to allow me to return and replace the TV . Both companies refused my request. Very disappointed, rather than doing what's right, both companies chose to hide behind policy with no further consideration.

    Beautiful picture...awful/cheap manufacturing

After finally receiving the approval to purchase an OLED TV, I read many critics and consumer reviews and decided on the 55" LG. I had everything ready to go and when to plug in the optical out cable to my receiver and the spring popped out of the socket on the TV, so I took it back and got another one. Everything was working great for about a month and then I was having trouble with audio and picture drop out, but only when viewing cable television. I thought maybe it was the cable box, so I tried a different box, but had the same problem. Different HDMI cable, same result. Tried my Xbox One and had the same issue. Turns out the HDMI input on the TV is bad and I'm furious. Two of the same exact TV in less than two months, with two different problems, but sharing cheap manufacturing in common. I'll be taking it back and getting a Sony OLED instead.

I’ve always been an LG fan and have purchased many of their products. This OLED TV looked magnificent when I first purchased it. Now 10 months in and there is a greenish circle that is appearing in the middle of the TV Screen. It’s really annoying to see. I’ve had to reach out to LG support to see what they are going to do about it. I didn’t pay this kind of money for these problems . Apparently it is an overheating issue they have had on this model. So buyers beware. If you get an older model like mine you’ll have the same problem.

The picture quality is very dark out of the box in all picture modes. You must take off Energy Saver completely to see a phenomenal picture. The floating mouse used to control interface shows up and disappears whenever it wants to. After pushing all the buttons on the remote several times, the screen goes from black to finally on. The game mode has ridiculously bad motion blur when connected to a PS4. Games like Assassins Creed Origins make it noticeable when you turn your character left and right. Directly connected the tv to my Sony receiver via hdmi and I get no sound from my home theater. I’ve even enabled the hdmi arc in the settings for the tv. Not a happy customer right now! Don’t buy this!

No owners manual and finding it difficult to get information on line to operate features. Bought an LG Soundbar with it and find that there are instances where the voice and lip movement are not in sync. Very disconcerting

Great picture quality. However, they bill this as a good sports TV that avoids the old altitude issues of the old Plasmas. It is not good for sports as the image isn't even close to fluid. Pretty disappointed with that really, as this was my man cave TV purchase.

Quality Control is not passed. The picture is all of the sudden disappear while watching and the sounds on and off, not once and many times. Need to return it. I am disappointed.

Disappointed with new OLED technology. Very blurry around edges. Returned for LED Sony which is so crisp and clear. Much happier now.
