I purchased this LG to replace a Samsung 65 inch TV that had failed after 3 years. I read all the reviews and viewed the product at a Best Buy store. Expected it to be as clear and vivid at home as it was on display in the store. It is not even close. Am told that the reason being that the cable supplier, comcast in this case, does not provide 4k resolution. Might as well have purchased the cheaper model for $300 less. In addition, I purchased this TV on April 25, 2017. On July 10, 2017 the screen failed. 2/3 of the picture is black or heavily shadowed. Luckily I had purchased an extended warranty. It has not been fixed at this time. Geek Squad is scheduled to work on it this week.

Everything is so simple, from set up to everyday use. The picture is incredible and the ability to use my smart phone as a remote is great!! This way I don't have 5 remotes around, JUST my phone!

Do not buy an LG TV!

Purchased 65" 4K tv on 10/29/16. TV has Blank screen/flashing blank screen. LG sent repair person to replace main board and another part. Did not fix issue. LG refuses to "give in to me" - those were the phone reps actual words! - and won't replace the tv. I have to take off work AGAIN so they can attempt to fix the issue. I will never purchase an LG product again. Terrible customer service!

I brought the tv on 4/9/17 and it was working fine with quality picture and sound. On 4/16/17 I noticed some lines on the upper right corner of the screen. There were no external cracks on the t.v. so I'm not sure what happened. Returning it first thing tomorrow since I've only had it for 7 days. I believe it is a defective model therefore I will be purchasing a different brand. I've never had any issues with purchasing plasma and LED tv's in the past.

I bought the 65UH7700 in November 2016, and the TV flickers. I've called the LG service number, and they advised to unplug it to reset it which I did. I noticed it cutting off again (flickering). This has been a very disappointing TV experience given it cost as much as it does. Unfortunately, I would not buy this TV again.

Bought this unit late 2016 and have been unhappy with the picture since day 1. Even my girlfriend, who doesn't pay much attention to this type of thing, walked in and said "your old tv looked better". And she's right, the 58" Samsung plasma I replaced w/ this had a much clearer picture. The screen rarely appears clean and crisp, either wavy lines (kind of like seeing heat waves in the distance on hot days) around people or variance in color when looking at what's supposed to be a clear sky, for example. Called LG to have the unit looked at and they told me to bring up the 'test screen'; and since that looked okay they deemed I had no issues and the tv was fine. Great customer service (sarcasm). Also having problems with Audio set up, when first got had the LG remote controlling my satellite dish and receiver as I have set up through my surround system. Worked fine for about two weeks then quit, all efforts to make work again have failed. Very frustrating. This is the first, and will be the last LG product to ever end up in this household.

HDR is dim. Noticiable "noise" when panining in games ans camera (very noticiable in sports) and blacks have more of a grey look to them. I returned mine and purchased the Samsung ks8000 on sale. A much better TV the Sony X800d is also a better option at this price. It does perform well in bright rooms and bright scenes

I really wanted to like this TV and there are certain aspects of it that are outstanding, but unfortunately screen uniformity was a major issue in the set I purchased. I noticed the "dirty screen" effect and screen uniformity issues immediately when watching a movie with this television set. Any pans of the camera across a consistent color (i.e. against the sky, a field, ice rink etc), were very inconsistent. Another thing I didn't like was the brightness of the television set. It just doesn't get very bright and in my living room with a large picture window, it wasn't ideal for daytime viewing even though the IPS screen did have nice viewing angles. I also wonder how good HDR content would look on this television considering it does not have good brightness capabilities. The final nail in the coffin for the TV for me was the bezel on it. It was highly reflective and distracting. I prefer something much more understated.
I ultimately spent an extra $200 and went with the KS8000 from Samsung. While I preferred the LG WebOS 3.0 and smart remote pointer over the Samsung Tizen interface, the screen & picture quality on the Samsung is what ultimately made my decision.

Had this tv on the wall for 7 days. My 4 year old Samsung plasma had a problem with the power supply. I tried everything to get this tv to look good, but I just couldn't get the deep black levels like my plasma. I end up replacing 5 capacitors on the power supply for $9 and my samsung is alive. Sorry but if your coming from a plasma lcd just don't cut it. I'm hoping to keep my plasma alive til Oled drops in price.
Although the apps are cool, and the remote is awesome, I'm returning today.

I liked the TV, it has the quality. It's way better than Vizio p series 65 (went through 2 replacements) prior to got this TV. But I wished it was brighter and has some more black.

Bought TV from Best Buy online and had it delivered. Once powered on, I noticed on black scenes in movies the top left hand corner had a white cloudy light leaking through. Later I found out it was called flash lighting and common with these LG models. Returned and got a Sony $100 cheaper and very happy now. Will not be buying LG products ever again.

The TV failed within three weeks. Been on the phone with LG customer service many times. the Tech has been to my house 4 times and still not fixed. The Techs are nothing but parts changers and cannot trouble shoot. The TV has been laying on my coffee table for two weeks. LG customer service is very poor and they do not stand behind their warranty. I will never buy another LG product and would not recommend them.

I'm returning this for the Samsung 8500 I should've purchased to begin with. This tv on just standard HD shows had terrible motion blur. I was suprised by this 4K tv with such a bad picture. I thought it was just the non hd channels at first but the more I watched in the first week the more I noticed! 2 thumbs down!!

I did not read in the depth the reviews other had posted and I can absolutely agree with them now. The actual panel is junk, the refresh rate and effects used to achieve them are awful. The panel "dirty" effect is noticeable immediately when solid white or black sections are shown, the LED local dimming is slow and distracting if you are watching anything dark at all it just looks terrible, like your screen is going out in complete vertical sections! I am returning this piece today and went ahead and dropped another $250 to get the Samsung like I should have in the first place. ALWAYS had Samsung til now and thought I would give the LG a try considering the price and the look of it in the store but nooo way, it’s junk if you are at all concerned about picture quality in your home-theater.

Purchased brand new two weeks ago. I had read plenty of reviews and was for sure this was the model I wanted. Had a great 4K picture in the beginning. Movies in Dolby Vision were fantastic. Two weeks later and now the only thing I see are multiple colors cycling through like it's in a screen burn in mode. I've tried everything with no success. Tech support says it will take over a week to have someone come out to fix. Are you kidding me? Now I'm stuck with a $1800+ paperweight until then. I used to have high praise for LG but this will be the last LG product in my house! Should have gone with a Samsung.
