Beautiful detail, brilliant colors. Love this TV! The picture is so much more vibrant color compared to my LG C5 OLED!

This is my 4th LG OLED tv, and this G5 is brightest one yet, while still retaining its excellent colors & deep blacks! Im sure LG will come out with a G6 OLED too soon but good luck topping this one!

Quite the upgrade from a 50" 60hz LCD panel to this. G-Synced games straight from my 4080 Super in stunning HDR. Whites so bright it'll make you squint.
*Dolby audio pumped out of a secondary ARC-compatible HDMI from LG TV to my audio receiver works like magic

I will start by saying the new tandem 4 stack OLED tech is every bit as good as advertised. Picture quality is great with unbelievably high brightness, I’d argue even brighter than most LED TV’s. Processing is top notch and build quality is phenomenal as well. Only downside is that there is a good macro blocking in low res content and black can crush in dark scenes. Overall, I’d say LG nailed it this year. Anyone looking for a high quality OLED with awesome gaming features and picture quality, just purchase it and be happy for years to come.

I bought the LG 65" G5 TV for movie watching & very specifically for fast paced FPS gaming while still being capable of an absolutely stunning 4K picture.
Overall I am very happy with this TV (so far) & would purchase this same TV again.
PRO's:
*High speed gaming is incredible.
*Gaming dashboard is a nice feature.
*Picture is absolutely amazing.
*All HDMI ports are high speed.
*Nice looking TV, very thin
CON's:
*No included owners manual with TV, it has to be downloaded. While a digital version is a nice option, an included hardcopy is preferred.
*The remote is 'minimalist' & very generic for a TV at this level, but does work properly.
*Would not work with my older expensive premium HDMI cables that I was using with my older LG OLED TV, I had to buy all new HDMI cables.

Will never be connected to the internet and will never be set to anything other than film-maker mode. I updated the firmware via USB because this model had problems with the stock firmware.
It's a big TV, the picture quality (in film-maker mode) is good. I can't speak for the other display modes, yuck @ all of that. The mounting system works well, but was poorly explained in the documentation. I hadn't upgraded TVs in over 10 years so it was a good step up in terms of picture quality and so forth. I don't know that I would ever recommend connecting these spy-devices to the internet.
The operating system and interface leaves much to be desired. It's ok, set it up once, and then you can never deal with the TV settings again thanks the HDMI E-ARC and a good receiver. Thankfully, a lot of the most offensive settings (motion smoothing and so on) can be turned off. The menus are not particularly intuitive, and like all TV manufacturers they use made-up LG-specific words that they presumably copyright to describe general picture settings.
I would never tell someone to buy an expensive TV, because the value just isn't there for folks who watch general streaming shows and sports. I wanted the best picture quality for movies, and to get that I have to fight with the manufacturer's desire to insert garbage at every turn. NO THANK YOU, TO: AI features, frame smoothing, and the rest of that crap.
Film-maker Mode Forever! just make a good panel!

The LG 65” Class G5 Series OLED evo AI 4K UHD Smart TV (2025) is a premium display that sets a new standard for OLED performance, offering breakthrough brightness with its Brightness Booster Max technology, stunning color accuracy, and perfect black levels. Powered by the Alpha 11 AI Gen 2 chip, it delivers ultra-smooth 4K 165Hz gaming with low input lag, plus a redesigned AI-powered webOS interface and a sleek One Wall Design that mounts flush to the wall. It’s ideal for both gamers and home theater enthusiasts, though the lack of DTS support, some minor early software quirks, and a downgraded remote may disappoint a few. Overall, it’s a top-tier TV that combines cutting-edge display tech with smart features, making it one of the best OLEDs of 2025.

Bought this TV to upgrade from the first Samsung OLED. The picture and brightness of this tv is amazing. And the fact it sits flush against the wall was the perfect selling point I needed to get my wife to agree to buy a new TV

I got this to replace my LG E8. It does for the most part live up to the pre-release hype from reviewers. I use it for streaming, 4k UHD blu rays, PS5 and a Nintendo Switch. It greatly improved the picture quality in my Nintendo Switch (with the right settings and NOT game optimizer mode for SDR content). After owning this TV for a couple days, i have zero need or desire to go with a mini led or other type of TV. This sucker is bright and the color volume at bright levels is insane for an OLED. Here’s the two things that really really bother me thou. The new remote is absolutely terrible. I can’t stress that enough. They took buttons off of it that were incredibly useful, like the input button! The software interface is also terrible. It’s cluttered and you have to navigate that mess to change inputs on the TV, because again, the remote doesnt have a button! I almost docked this a star because of how annoying these two things are for the price you pay for this TV. However, when you are watching a movie or gaming, you will not find a better experience elsewhere.

I upgraded from the LG 65" CX to the new 65" G5, and the difference is stunning. Brightness levels are dramatically improved, vivid and punchy without sacrificing detail. HDR performance and color accuracy are exceptional, delivering a truly immersive viewing experience. The response time is lightning fast, making it a dream for gaming.
Movie watching on the G5 is a standout experience. Scenes feel more cinematic, with deep contrast and rich detail that pull you in. Compared to other brands like Samsung, the G5 stands out as a more reliable choice. LG’s consistency in picture quality, gaming performance, and overall refinement makes this model easy to recommend. If you're looking for a premium TV that delivers across the board, the G5 is absolutely worth it.

The LG EVO G5 is hands down one of the best TVs I’ve ever owned. From the moment you unbox it, the sleek design and ultra-thin profile exude premium craftsmanship. It mounts nearly flush to the wall, transforming your living room into a modern gallery.
What truly sets the G5 apart is its picture quality. The OLED evo panel delivers breathtaking color, deep inky blacks, and exceptional contrast. Whether you’re watching a movie in Dolby Vision or playing games in 4K HDR, the visuals are incredibly vibrant and lifelike. Even fast-paced scenes are smooth and detailed, thanks to the 120Hz refresh rate and LG’s top-tier motion handling.
Gaming on this TV is phenomenal. With HDMI 2.1 support, low input lag, G-SYNC and FreeSync compatibility, it’s a dream setup for next-gen consoles and PC gaming.
WebOS is smarter and snappier than ever, and the Magic Remote makes navigating streaming apps effortless. LG’s AI Picture Pro and sound enhancements are genuinely impressive, often eliminating the need for a separate soundbar in smaller spaces.
Overall, the LG EVO G5 is a premium OLED experience that exceeds expectations in every category—design, performance, and user experience. If you’re on the fence, just go for it. It’s worth every penny.
