So, I have to change it to the timed option so it can fully dry

I didn’t read the specifications and assumed all dryers had lights inside as did my previous ones over the last 30 years. It’s a bit annoying not to have a light in there. Imagine not having a light in your fridge. It takes a long time to dry contents, requiring several cycles of 40 or 60 mins for one medium size load of towels. The drysense option doesn’t work well and leaves clothes damp and shuts dryer off quickly. No longer using this useless feature. Wish I had believed the reviews. It does beat dragging loads of wet laundry to our local laundromat for 5 weeks at $2 a load. My previous Whirlpool Cabrio was far superior in drying contents. Wish it could have been repaired.

I believe more than I will ever use. But it's nice to have them. It worked perfectly from the day they came and installed it.

The sensor frequently malfunctions and stops the drying process prematurely. I’ve cleaned it thoroughly multiple times, but the issue persists. Even with regular cleaning, certain fabric softeners and dryer sheets can leave a film that's not easily removed with standard methods. We recommend gently cleaning the moisture sensor bars using a fine-grit sandpaper or a green Scotch-Brite pad to ensure all residues are eliminated.
Additionally, it's important to consider the size and composition of your laundry loads. Smaller loads or items made of similar materials can sometimes dry unevenly, leading the sensor to misread moisture levels. For such loads, using the manual timed dry setting can provide more consistent results.

But it runs well. I use only manual all the sensors I really don't care for. Don't like going to my dryer after ample time and fine cold, damp clothes.
